Love the channel. New players may not be aware that it takes a few seconds before the ships actually leave combat and that combat continues during that "prepare to retreat" phase. Since the fleets are still shooting at each other it's certainly possible to lose a ship before the retreat actually triggers, though you correctly point out that the game mechanics do not penalize players for retreating other then not providing any exp or other rewards which are delivered at the end of a battle win. ;) Edit: BTW, amazing video. Sure wish had been able to watch it before I started playing!
I wonder what if u have a battlecruiser in the back row and something that fires at BC is in the enemy fleet, will it target front row ships or will it target the battlecruiser?
What level is your base when you got the Xeno's? And how are you getting them? Is it just luck of the draw? Are you restarting your entire game until you get that lucky draw?
I had no idea you could do auto return or change the routing. I have been playing for just over a month and every video you have shows me 2 or 3 things easily that I had no clue about. Thank you!
the defending ship should not be able to retreat when attacked. only the attacker can retreat or something to compensate like if you choose to retreat some of the ships would remain and become a blocking force.
Just started playing (BlueStacks) and I'm finding this game a bit overwhelming with all the controls on the screen plus the redundancy in the menus and their corresponding sub menus... lol. I mean there are submenus to submenus to main menus. The tutorial is ok but it doesn't cover everything. Many things about the game are not intuitive and the symbols within the icon menus aren't exactly standard either. It's not as involved as Eve Online but it sure isn't Nova: Iron Galaxy either... lol. I'll be checking out your vids quite a bit for help since I'm subscribed.
Question, I received a few ships as rewardes by completing side quests but it tells me that "I have insufficient command points for the military port, the surplus ships will be lost. Claim?" I exit out of it but eventually it forces me to clear the mission and accept the reward. I can't find the ship anywhere. But it says I acquired it in my system messages. Any help?
This will happen regularly during Data Season. You can get ships when collecting Data. You will have to clean up your fleet to make sure you have enough space for these ships, if not they will get lost in space
I know it's costly but I'm bad at comps. I recommend sending in 2 fleets if an NPC fleet is strong but is keeping you from resources you need. Time it so the 1st fleet that comes in is your tank fleet and 2nd fleet comes in right after since in 2v1 situations the engage the 1st fleet and not the 2nd. May get changed eventually.
Yes, that is a good strategy. To reduce the cost for this, you can make that 'tank' fleet cheap, using CAS066, maybe some FG300 armor. I like to add Carilions as well as some repair ships (Noma for example) to reduce the losses. This also works great when attacking cities early on in game, the first fleet going in take fire from all city fleets, till the remaining fleets joined the attack. Using a scarifies fleet here reduces the losses of expensive ships.

@@HappyGalaxyGaming ok thanks, i played this game a few hours and this looks like a 3d ogame, thats what i feeled and im really looking for an Star citizen, or space enginers, empyrion galactic, i would love something like that but it doesnt exists. I downloaded dual universe yesterday but i feel that game was mining from my gpu because it was always using 100% of it even if i changed the graphics to the minimum in 720p (the fps were Fine even in 1080p).
