Factory sound isn’t loud. If you bought it preowned, the previous owner may have cut the muffler off. If so, buying a muffler and having an exhaust shop install it should make it quieter. Most people want louder so I’ve not heard of anything for making it more quiet

The previous owner paid someone to put LED strips in the factory headlight. They ended up giving me a lot of trouble around the time I sold the car though and the headlights constantly had water condensation in them due to the holes that were drilled in them for the wires to pass through.

The V6 gets about 6-10mpg higher than the FX45 in my experience, handling is the same since the car is the same, acceleration is about a second or so faster with the V8. The ride feel is also similar. I find the V8 is more fun too because well… it’s a V8.

I actually traded the FX35 for an FX45 a few moments ago. When I traded her in at 113k, it had custom LED DRL’s inserted into the stock headlight assembly when I bought it, the 20s were plastidipped black because I wanted to know if I liked it before putting big money down on coating the wheels black, had a uhaul hitch installed, I also put 05-08 sport tail lights on. The previous owner also went wild with aftermarket chrome stripping. I removed some of it, but left some of it. It also had the wood accent accessory kit installed some time beforeI took ownership. It also had tint which looked really good with the white paint. It also had a grounding kit installed.

@@samthecarguy1143 It looks like the brake calipers in the vid are red. are those painted or aftermarket? Also i want to get halo LEDs to put into the stock housing, do you know of any quality kits? how difficult is it to plasti dip the stock wheels? I want to get bigger wheels and low profile tires but in the meantime it could look nice.

Epik_ Robie forgot about those. Previous owner put slotted/drilled rotors and brembo covers on the original brake calipers after painting them red. When I replaced the pads, I actually pulled the covers off and left the exposed red paint.

Epik_ Robie as for the LED KIT I’m not currently sure of anything at the moment except for the aftermarket switchbacks you see on occasion. For me, it took about a day to do the wheels. I did one can per wheel, then hit them all with the glossifier, one can of glossifer for the front, one for the back. When I traded the FX in, the black wheels were still holding up a year and some change after doing them. When I washed the car, they looked like I just did them. Ran it through the car wash and never had an issue with them peeling either.

Marcel Al Kees the 2003, and 2004 has 8 less horsepower than a stock Z. The later year first gens have about 10 less. Torque numbers are 4 less than the Z for the 2004 model.

Sam, The Car Guy is that bcz of the difference in the weight between the 2 vehicles or there is some differences in the engines?

Marcel Al Kees weight of the car doesn’t affect the power the engine makes. They’re unrelated.
