Whenever we get invited to a private track, there are few things we can't resist. Pushing the pedal to the metal is one of those. 1 mile and done, because chasing top speed requires serious preparation and planning. #EdBwoyShorts
You have way more guts than I do. I was afraid to run mine pass 120. One time I did get somewhere around 140 racing a scat pack Charger but I was too afraid to look down at the speedometer.
@@camrenanderson8987 oh yeah I won. My M56S was not stock so beating Scat Packs was not a problem. I only lost to a Hellcat and that was right before a 1/8 mile when he caught traction. I still recall that supercharger whine as it flew around me lol.
@@walt9427 the problem with that last 20-30 mph, is that it takes a lot of time and needs a lot of space. When trying to pass someone on the highway, you can hit 100 so fast in an M56. 150 is scary. You just float, the car remains calm amd collected, and as long as there are no cars to compare speed with you don't realize how fast you are really going.
@@famooojones2646 full custom 2.5" exhaust from headers with x-pipe and secondary cat delete, custom airbox, performance filters, HPS intake hoses, 100lbs weight reduction, Uprev tune, I'm missing something just can't think of it at the moment.
What year is your m56? Excellent video of the acceleration. There are some people are trying to put the m56 engine into the Infiniti g37 coupe. That will be interesting to see.
Hey guys I got a m56x 2012 in my area with 112,000 miles super clean 15k for it 1 owner everything seems to work should I grab it are they hard to fix are they knows for issues I drive my cars but not to crazy I’m more of a home body but I like this car a lot any info it would help
Quick question your a big Infiniti car guy you might know. I got a Infiniti G37 2013 im tryna put the Infiniti FX 50 2013 sport 21 inch wheels 6 spoke but the lug nuts don’t fit probably what is the the exact lug nut size I have to get to fit it
The G37 and FX50 should use the same lug nut for stock applications. 1. Did you have OEM wheels on the G or aftermarket? 2. The FX wheels are pretty wide with a high offset, so make sure they are fully seated on the hub at the front. 3. The proper FX lug nuts are shank style, also called mag style. What exactly isn't fitting properly with what you're doing?
The 37s are pretty good. Sometimes I am doing 80 on the highway, and I get passed by a Chevy aveo like I'm standing. So no worries, anyone can get to the high speeds, and I bet any M will remain pretty well composed and comfortable at triple digits. The M56 is nice, but the extra maintenance and care isn't fun for everyone.
@@ddavis9542 for one, they require more diligent checking of the oil levels. They consume oil, some of them quite excessively, and they do not like being neglected in that regard. And then there was the issue of the timing chain recall, which I have not fully reconciled in my mind. Basically, when you own an M56, you can't treat it with minimal attention like a wartime jeep.
The M56 engine is smoother and more refined. It has power all over the band. The FX50 has a "winding up" stage, and let's you know it's working hard. Some like the noise, some like the effortless power.
@@Ocky313 the FX *feels* quicker because of it's sportier chassis. It is really light on its feet considering the weight it carries, and how high it is carried. AWD also helps launch it, but an M56 pins you back in the seat and just delivers.
I'm glad you noticed that. No, the car is not tuned at all, it is fully stock but just well maintained. Well, it's got the option sport mufflers but that's of negligible effect in performance. That's the exciting thing about the M56, it has no flat spots, no spooling up, it just goes when you mash the pedal.
After jumping in and out of different Ms over the years, I have settled on the opinion that full auto is the best way to drive them, especially for a run like this. Have you tried to run the same route back to back comparing manual versus auto on yours?
@@demosdaniels2576 wait what??? my M56x i can redline it in manual, now obviously I've only ever done it a couple times by accident, not something I do often, but i can get all the way up to 6700 in manual mode.
Hey sir m45 won't accelerate properly I just replaced the hole engine and everything seems to be fine except the car idles a lil high and when I barely tap the gas the rpm gage jumps up for a sec then rite back down...
… how… mine stops at 145. Ima get it tuned soon and hopefully unlock that. Busy as of right now I held it at 145 for awhile it and it didn’t go any quicker
@@EdBwoy well when I was on stocks I was only able to go 145, but now that I'm on some low pros my limiter hits 145 but I'm really only doing about 136.
Which is very rare of me, lol. Funny thing is that when I left the location, the ride felt surreal and I had no desire to go even 1 mph over the limit. I drove quietly home, just a man and his beast.
Stock for stock , the 3.7l is faster but not by much. Im sure with some intake and exhaust mods + tune on both cars (mod for mod) , the M56 may preform better than the 3.7.
The m56x is faster because it has higher you’re and hp while about the same weight, the top speed is around 170 compared to a g37x which I have personally gotten up to 145. G37’s are easier to mod due to more options but the m56x will almost always be faster. Stock to stock it has almost 100hp more
I haven't fully tested the factory limit, but the car sure had a little more in it. Tough to process things at triple digit speeds, so I felt like a mile would be good enough
