Finally got and installed the gloss black grille for the Q50 and I’m super happy that I did. Check out the installation, how it looks and what I have coming up for the Q!

I just brought the black grille for mine and I was watching the videos because I thought I was going to try to install myself. NOT plus I have the sensors on the front of mine. Your car looks good.

Those 2 small black metal shims on the top of the bumper that connect the fender to the bumper are a pain to get back on.

Been slowly de-chroming my Q50. I've been putting this off because it seems so cumbersome getting the entire front end off to switch out the grill. Does look good though!

It would have been much easier to get the bumper off than doing it how I did. It’s only a few more bolts and would have had all the room in the world.

What do you think about vinyl wrapping it? Not a good option?

Native Vinyl wrapping is fine and it’s good because it can always be removed. It’s just not easy to do yourself with the contours, if you’ve never done it before. And it’ll be at least $100 to pay a shop to do it.

My grille and bumper cover got damaged by some debris on the highway I was really hoping you where going to take the bumper off so I could see what I was getting myself in to! But like you said it doesn’t look to much harder to get the whole bumper off I think I’m just going to get some eBay parts and get it painted so I don’t have to report it to my insurance lol

It’s just a few 10mm bolts on the under side. Very simple.

Btw, is this grill different in terms of quality compared to the new blacked out grill you listed on your latest “cheap mods to buy” video? Just want to know which grill looks better in terms of quality since they are both similar in prices

No that should be the same grille. Might be a different seller and slightly different price, but I’d guess it comes from the same supplier

Looks nice! How about like a gunmetal grey vinyl over the Infiniti logo? Get that Chrome out, but still keep somewhat of a contrast

Chrome and black is a great combination. Infiniti just put too much with the window trim. A couple of chrome emblems is perfect.

Hey how’s it going speed I absolutely love your videos and how you go into full details on everything even tho I drive the 370z n you have the q50 you still have helped me with a lot of info but I’m curious can you direct me into another channel that is Designated towards the 370z I have looked all over and really haven’t been able to find a channel that goes into full detail like you do thanks in advance

It’s a super easy job. Like Chris said, just a few 10mm bolts and it comes off. I think I show it it my strut tower brace install video.

Do you know if that grille is capatable with 15 q50 that has front camera? Didn’t notice you had one but mine does. Otherwise yours looks sweet. Also like the front spoiler. Where did you get that?

Front splitter from amazon. And yes the grill is compatible with the camera.

@SpeedCultureStudios awesome. I actually just had the black grille (same one in the link) installed by a body shop while having the bumper replaced but the fitment isn't good. I want to redo it myself with a black grille from a different supplier.

non related to the video, but I've the 3.7 with the PLM muffler delete and I'm planning to change the Y pipe, my car give some litle pops sometimes, and sounds great, just with the the muffler delete, do you think that will be louder adding the Y pipe? Tks!!

Mine did the same with the muffler delete. Upgrading the y pipe will not make it louder but it does give it a nicer lower rumble. Like a deeper tone.

It's inevitable, especially if you drive on the interstate. Use blacklight sealer from chemical guys. It hides them pretty well.

When I take my middle engine cover screw out the engine makes a loud hissing noice. Any reason??? Is it connected to the air?

Not connected to air. Hissing noise just might be engine noise. If you had air leaking in that area the car would likely run funny.
