This car came out in 2014. What a timeless design. Still a beautiful yet very aggressive looking car in 2021. I've driven a regular one not a rs400, even that one was quick and left an impression so I can imagine what any redsport is like.
Toally differnt engine. Q50 used to have a Mercedes 2.0T engine. Since 2021, Infiniti replaced Mercedes 2.0T engine with their 3.0L VQ30DD V6 engine. It surely increases lot of horsepower.
I LOVE MINE TOO! 2017 Q50 RED SPORT, Full 3" down pipes, chip, peddle commander, ark grip exhaust - 525HP, Average 0-60 3.7s Beat : Scat Packs Porsche 911 Mustang GT EVERY Subaru Audi A4, A6, A8 BMW 5 Series Lost Hellcat BMW M3 BMW M5 Corvette 🤷🏼 The jump in this vehicle is top notch, but during all loses, the other cars just simply had more muscle, or larger turbos. Hands down, one of the best V6 Engines ever made. It's a sweet experience to burn those louder cars who's drivers think in the beginning that they got me easily. Sad thing is too many sore losers who want to keep going and swerve in and out of traffic. I don't play that game. Race safely, win Respectfully and lose with dignity. 3 honks go, hazards for the win. Live to race another race..... In Mexico of course ;)
@@max2icyy746 Yeah lol, that EVERY Subaru line made me laugh. Maybe every stock subaru or one thats just i take and exhaust. If i still had my old STI id add a car to the L list. Sold it a few months back.
I'm looking to get in a 5.0 or SS soon but I gotta keep my q50 as well lol I fell in love with these cars, it's definitely an exhilarating driving experience I'll say. Most of the reviewers on yt just complain and bitch about the "outdated tech" inside, yes the interior could be refreshed without a doubt but it's great to finally see someone reviewing that realizes the performance platform and potential with these and the q60 as well.
@@MrAnthony2456 Just wait until you do about 3-5K in mods and crank out 450 HP and 425 Ft/lbs of torque. I see it all the time in Q50/Q60 group posts. I was wondering why so many people were modding them until I learned these are Nissan Skylines in Japan.
@@XVNRX To non-flats. Get a good set of all-season or summer performance depending on where you live. I put a set of 19" MICHELIN PILOT SPORT A/S 3 on my car. Quieter and grippier.
@@on2vegas976 clutch I plan on buying one in Jan or February, I’m on east coast so All season should be the way to go , Got all season on my 09 accord V6 accord
@@XVNRX We recently switched to Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 on the Q50 3.0t and they feel amazing. I have summer Michelin Pilot Sport 4s on Genesis G70 and those are amazing tires too.
Lowered is nice but not on Sport plus as that has a stiffer suspension. Great for the track. But you want to have it on anything but sport plus and you’ll notice it will be much better for city street type.
@@gizziesgarage6332 I have a 2018 Q50RS, it rides like $#&! even when it's not lowered lol...the ride just isn't great in this car. You can choose between rock hard in Sport, brittle in Sport + or squishy/stiff in standard setting (best way I can describe it). None of the settings feels "just right", ever. Seriously a shame they didn't spend more time tuning it before they released in 2014 but the sad thing is they haven't done anything to improve the ride appreciably since then. I have a love/hate relationship with my car. It's fun to drive but it always leaves you wishing it was better, and it doesn't need to be as harsh as it is.
The car is nothing to be played with 😂 I own a 3.7 N/A AWD, it WILL surprise you, and even just FBO on E85 will push that things horsepower to the roof, then when you upgrade the turbos the car is absolutely insane, very very cool car! They badge it as a Nissan skyline in japan
Essentially a 4 Door 400Z. These cars when tuned can take some decent V8’s out tons of support for this car probably even more if the new z is released.
You bet nothing like that V8 scream behind me fade-in away lol that Dodge SRT could be heard for miles but sound is just that. Have a Moded RS400. Spot on once the Z400 comes out it will lead to more parts. You know these are VR motors just a smaller GTR motor 3.0VRDDTT
@@metricrowes1427 I would take a Dodge Charger RT if it did not look as stupid as it does, I hate the look. Also the new Daytona Banshee is a disgrace... now if they removed that EV motor and put in a Hellcat or Demon engine into it, well then we would be talking something different.
@@metricrowes1427 how it does add up a rt weight 4,200 lbs with 370 hp and a 395 torque a 0-60 of 5.2 a quarter mile of 13.7 beat a Q50 rs400 that weighs 3,998 lbs a 350 torque 0-60 of 4.5 and a quarter mile time of 13
I own an end of year 2018 Q50 Luxe (fully loaded) with the VR30DDTT, stock its just over 300 hp, and I have it tuned to 405 HP just by having the computer tuned. All I have to do is set it to Personal mode and it loads the custom tune in there (had it professionally done). If I get around to it, I plan on going the RA500 upgrade from AMS, plus changing out the intercoolers to AMS ones, and running an Invidia Catback which should give no drone when paired with the AMS catted street downpipe, and it will sound like its a factory tuned exhaust. Estimated numbers from the RA500 kit show I can expect 505 WHP from the kit, whole thing will set me back about $9,000 with parts and labor. Here is the great thing, the stock transmission and engine can easily handle it on E85 pump gas.
This one isn't stock, but they're quick from the factory. I enjoyed my red sport when I had it tuned and FBO on 93. Not my favorite car for the money, but it was cool. Much happier with my truck and Evo now lol
@@eriksrt1228 exactly its cheap as f for what u get cant complain, unless wana spend another 10 or 20k or a nother car thats exact same orless power lol
That's why you don't buy one from a dealer that don't already know all about these cars. Probably everyone that works there did the same thing this guy did 🙄
@@jakehunter1507 U can put whatever u want ofc and yes will be faster but Infiniti messed up to put that transmission in this car, it's a good transmission but not for this car.
@@gizziesgarage6332 what does that even fucking mean lol. The engine is cold and you went to like 6-7k lol. You make no sense why beat on a cold car. Fucking Dick lol
@@Quietgames you understand how hot an engine gets? Leaving it for 10 minutes and getting right back in after taking beauty shots won't give it that much time to cool...
You know some use cars are have issues too like maybe need some new Shocks thats why its bumpy on the road. Well i bet this guy like he’s truck not bumpy a lot of course.
Stock is 0 to 60 in 4.5 seconds that is not slow either. But a JB4 and some bolt ons and can you say fun. I know i have such a beast and love it. Also had a 335i prefer this.Proper tune and some parts 0 to 60 in 3 seconds has been done see Boost in Motion. Thats a stock motor just bolt ons and a tune. I know i am mid 3s with my set up friend has a Dragy. That's fast enough for me :)
Actually my Redsport will beat just about any jb4 q5060 full bolt on!Redsport has stock supporting mods to support 400 not just a tune and jb4 just allows u to control boost u can set the Jb4 to its highest boost map and it will still fall behind a stock Rs just facts!Redsports are made to hold the boost longer and still has more boost than the best map on Jb4 not to mention the tune on the RS is adjusted for the amount of boost its receiving in fuel amounts and timing and that equals power ....Consistently!! not for an instant like a Jb4!
I have the 2019 red sport and it's the biggest junk anyone can buy. The turbo lag is so bad. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THESE CARS. YOU WILL BE SO DISAPPOINTED WITHIN A FEW MONTHS
Owned several Infiniti cars g35, g37 and now Q 50 Red Sport. never a wrench on any of them besides oil, brakes, tires and maybe 2 batteries during ownership of all three. The red sport will hang with or beat most cars in the same class and with a few mods and maybe a tune flat out spank V8 mustangs and hellcats. Not to be rude but don’t think you know what your talking about.
