Demonstrates the Infiniti OEM Sport Exhaust Sold and Installed by Infiniti. This is the resonated exhaust Part Number B0100Q60S2. The video compares the stock exhaust sound vs. the Sport Exhaust.
This is the Infiniti axle back sport exhaust purchased from Infiniti. It includes the resonators on each exhaust pipe. The stock muffler is totally removed. The part number is listed in the video. You can use this number to search on the infiniti website for details.
Thanks for the video! really great demonstration of the sound. My only advice would be to not rev the car so hard while its still cold and idling at high RPMs like that (notice the black smoke from the tail pipes). its most healthy to let the car warm up for a minute or so before giving it revs. otherwise excellent video! Any plans for doing a video from within the car while driving to hear how it sounds in the cabin? maybe some "fly-by" videos of you driving past a camera to hear how it sounds on the road?
@@JohnReuter I bought this kit a few days ago after watching a few videos on here (including this one), it should be arriving later this week. After I install it I might make a couple videos of my own
@@tokuryulopez9139 Its been great so far. install wasnt too tough and took me a couple hours with basic tools and minimal experience. The sound is a great mix of low end grunt and some nice bark when you open up the throttle. It is a bit loud on cold starts for about 20-30 seconds while the engine warms up but then it quiets down again. Overall I love the sound and it definitely improves the driving experience being able to hear the car
That’s the best exhaust sound I’ve heard yet. I’ve watched all the other RU-vid videos with exhaust upgrades and who wood have thought the Infinity sport exhaust sounds the best imo than any I’ve heard. I have a 2019 Q60 Red Sport stock and you have sold me on my first upgrade. Does the car seem any faster to you? I can’t really tell you are in a garage aren’t you but how far is the tail of the car in there because that can also enhance the sound just want to make sure it sounds as good outside as in a garage.
The garage door was open and the garage door was just behind the video camera. It sounds the same outside of the garage. I do not notice a difference in the sound. I am not sure the exhaust adds much to the overall speed since this car is pretty fast as it is. I am told it adds a little horse power but again it is hard to tell. It does sound nice and turns heads but not obnoxious.
You must have meant that you have a '19 Q60 Red Sport, not an '09 that you accidentally typed. I figured I'd let you know in case you wanted to edit that.
Hi John, Thank you for posting this video. I'm late to this thread and hope it finds you. I have a 2017 Q60 3.0t (not the Red Sport) and have been researching options for upgrading the exhaust. Information is scant for the Infiniti Motorsports products. In addition to improving the exhaust note, I would hope to gain some performance as well. Would the cat-back option gain more horsepower vs the sport exhaust? I do like the concept of sticking to Infiniti products vs the aftermarket options. Your thoughts are appreciated!
I cannot tell you if the sport exhaust increases the horse power but it does improve the car's growl sound. With the sport exhaust the muffler is removed and there are two resonators provided. You can see a void in the video under the car when the new exhaust is installed.
I have had the sport exhaust for 18 months or so and have been very happy with it. I would recommend this sport exhaust to give the car a sophisticated sound to the car.
I see a few comments here where people are saying it doesn’t sound the same as theirs. I wonder if it has something to do with the revised midpipe that Infiniti put into the Red Sport models? Perhaps other older models don’t have that?

Is this not an option for you? Im pretty sure they are still making the part (to the best of my knowledge)
Nice comparison video! you don‘t happen to have the amount of DB on the sport exhaust? Really want to buy this but afraid it might be too loud for my country
I did not check other solutions in depth. Mainly because I did not want to take the chance of voiding my warranty since this sport exhaust was installed on a new car. I read good reviews online and made the decision for these reasons.
Fast Intentions make great exhausts but they tend to be a bit pricier than just this axle back since I believe those are cat-back. Other than that it just comes down to personal preference on which tone you like better. axle back is also nice and easy to install and only 4 bolts to undo
The sport exhaust from Infiniti are really individual resonators only. If you look at the video closely the stock muffler which is normally in the center between the two exhaust ports are gone in the 2nd half of the video. I hope this answers your question.
Hello, I’m unable to decide whether to get the non resonated exhaust or spend a few more bucks to get the resonated one. All I’m looking for is the nice sound when you step on it; I’m worried that the exhaust will make the car sound too loud even while idling. What’s your input?
The non resignation I think may be too loud for you based on your desired results. I assume the non resignation is not muffled at all. The resignated version adjusts the exhaust tone some. This is not intrusive in the cabin when you drive it but it does sound like a sports car.
Hey jon just installed my exhaust and it sounds nothing like urs? Its super quiet do u have any other exhaust mods done to urs? Or is it just there so new and need to. Break in?
I did they said that there is nothing wrong with the exhaust lol of course i guess the video just sounds louder than in person but definitely sounds better than the stock tho yours just sounds a lil more hollow than mine maybe there is some packing in there lol
I do not have an opinion on the st model. The s2 model I am really satisfied with the sound and the look. This exhaust should be standard on the sport model not an add on.
The sport exhaust as shown in the video has resonators included from Infiniti when it is ordered. The catalytic converter is still installed, they were not removed when the sport exhaust was installed. Hopefully, this helps.
On my 2020 Q60 Sport there is no drone noise in the car. I talk on the blue tooth phone connection as well as listen to music without any sort of issues with this model of exhaust. See the part number on the video.
Hi guys I don't know much about cars period but I have a 2017 3.0 q60 non sport will this set just replace my stock? Will they remove my old muffler as well? What is a resonator? Does it have it on this one? Sorry lots of dumb questions. .
You can see this link for a detailed explaination of a resonator. It does several things for your exhaust system including producing tone of the exhaust. The sport exhaust in this video uses resonators not a muffler. knowhow.napaonline.com/exhaust-resonator-explained/. Your old muffler and lower exhaust pipes will be removed when installed. You will need to find out from Infiniti which part number is for the sport exhaust on your 2017 Q60 3.0 300 hp model you own. They can also install the sport exhaust which may be good in your case.
How do you like driving it? I just ordered this exhaust today for my 2017 Q60 red sport. The car itself is great but the stock exhaust is weak. I also have a 2011 G37 coupe and the stock exhaust on that car is great in comparison.
Driving the Q60 with the sport exhaust makes you feel like you are driving the G37 but better. The sport exhaust gives you a whole different feeling like you are really driving a sports car instead of a luxury auto. Between the turbo intake sound at 4K RPM or so and the deep exhaust sound mixed, it provides a nice driving experience. I think this was an excellent investment to the Q60. You should be happy. Please let me know your thoughts after yours is installed.
Sorry I cannot comment on the differences in the sound. I have never heard a straight pipe on the Q60 Sport. I can tell you this sound is much better than the stock exhaust and is not too loud.
@evan68425 This has (2) resonators on the pipes. One resonator on each exhaust pipe. There is not a traditional muffler. There is a void where the muffler was at in the rear of the car. However, it is not too loud.
@evan68425 These smaller pipes attached to the main pipes are the resonators. They take the raw exhaust and instead of quieting the sound like a muffler, it CHANGES the sound. So instead of pipes from catalytic converter being feed into the muffler, they go into the pipes that have the resonators. So the sound is changed (tuned) and sent to the rear pipes. Thus the improved sound.
@@825samtheman Glad it meets your expectations. I have had mine for a few months now and have been extremely happy with the performance and general sound quality. No regrets!
sam theman awesome glad you enjoy it. Where did you have it installed and what was full price for product and installation ? Also the video makes the exhaust note sounds very loud. I’m hoping it’s modest at best. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
I am not sure why this may sound better. No audio enhancements were done to the video and the video was recorded on a smart phone. I know a few people that have commented on this post have purchased this exhaust from Infiniti. Maybe they can comment on their experience.
@@DOHC2L I would check / confirm with the parts department at the dealer or the Infiniti web site. It may have a new part number for a 22 but it should still be available. To give them an idea tell them the part number for the 2020 was B0100Q60S2.
Here is the link on the Infiniti USA Parts web site. parts.infinitiusa.com/p/INFINITI_2020_Q60-30L-V6-AT-4WD/Axle-Back-Sport-Exhaust/92652987/B0100-Q60S2.html. This may or may not be the correct version for your car. Please confirm with your local dealer.
@@ahmadalsheikh4236 I think there is a different model number for the q50. You will need to contact the dealership for details. Give them the model number from the video and tell them you want the equivalent for the q50 and your specific model year. I am sure they will get you the correct sport exhaust.
Thank you I was hoping to maybe get a diff angle of from further away. It sounds different in a lot of the diff videos I watched. Looking to buy this soon as I. Putting all parts on at once but want to make sure of the sound. Thank you in advance if you have the time
I am not sure if this fits the Q50. I suspect it will also depend on the year of the car. Your local Infiniti dealer should be able to provide compatibility information to you.
The Q50 has a different part number, so be careful which one you get. The q50 part number is B0100Q50S2 whereas this one is the B0100Q60S2. And yes, also double check that part number fits your model year
