We were involved in a head-on collision in our QX80. When the other car hit our QX80 went into a spin and slammed into another car. There was no cabin damage. Computer-sensed airbags were not needed. Key Fab? Knobs? The QX80 saved our lives. Just bought another one.

I have the 22 Armada and love it. However everything you have picked on is totally 100% true. The tinny sounding rear doors was the first thing I noticed when I started looking at the Armada but after driving it I gave them a pass.

You lost me at “it should be compared to a 45K vehicle” and “can we not paint it white”. I came here for a review on the QX80 and got an earful on how Infinity should reinvent themselves and you are the guys to do it. With less than 10K subscribers, you guys may want to reinvent yourselves. This is literally one of the worst reviews I’ve seen. The QX80 is a beautified vehicle regardless of its flaws.

The Nissan version with cloth seats is in the 50k range. What I like about this car are the safety features. I have been renting one for the last few days. The auto braking is great. That car pulling out in front of me and driving 45 doesn't bother me as much as it does on an economy car. I can leave the cruise on. Love the discussion. My father in law is now telling me to buy Nissan in my next purchase. It is doing as well or better than Toyota in car life.

I think these reviewers need to consider that the vehicle is $15-20K less than its full size luxury competitors...Navigator, Escalade etc etc This is more Yukon/Tahoe/Expedition priced

Having body controlling suspension as optional is reasonable to me. Because most drivers on the road drive slowly especially through corners, so there is no practical application for most drivers.

I still own my 2006 Infiniti QX56. Nothing special other than road presence and a good road trip. The only thing you will miss is luxury. No True luxury to compete. No Nappa leather, no panoramic roof, no massaging seats, no digital dash or any digital anything. No options sound system, or sound deadening in the doors. Rear seats do not offer much either. The few pluses are reliability which is good, towing is great for the average family and I know you can get over 200K out of the engine and no problem. I think you guys are right about the 48 to 60K prices as today build they have. I hope Infiniti regroups and make there mixed of autos worth it asking price. They seem to focused on the small Crossovers more than being in the true luxury market.

I have to say that there are good points here....but I would not buy one new. HOWEVER...you CAN get amazing value used. I personally this past year bought a 2016 with only 19K miles on it for $33K and it was FLAWLESS and with every package avail....yes Mine has the hydraulic roll control. lol. Buy new...maybe buy something else..buy used...THIS is the car! It's bold and thats part of why you buy it...it's rare (vs. its competitors), it's very quite, it has amazing gas milage (JK)...but I'd say this is a very very unique SUV that while many won't know or explore..has the offloading capabilities that are FAR superior than pretty much any of the larger computers in this price range..this is after all a shinny Patrol. ;)

I own a 16 QX80 and think its great for the money especially compared to Tahoe and Yukon loaded up. Not an Escalade or GLS450 but not the same price.

6:11 don’t know what the hell he means about that 4WD dial….I have a 2020 QX80 and that dial is fine, it is not fragile or cheap feeling in any way.

Infiniti moved HQ from Hong Kong to Yokohama, Japan in 2019.

These guys are not only unfair but it seems like they have an agenda here. Qx80 are the best by far for the money. Especially being its under six figures. People I know love them too as they are.

Got QX80 as a rental, and both my girlfriend and I both hated it (except for the sound system). - Steering is lighter than my 4,100 lbs 2014 Honda Wagon, and you have no idea where your front end is during a tight turn (When I turn the steering wheel, I have no idea how much my wheels are turning), this also translates to floating on the highway and I have a much harder time keeping the car straight. - The cruise control distance is very very far, even on the closest setting it's so far that you'd never be able to use it in NYC for example. - The cruise control auto stop will stop the car, but then disengage so you will move forward into the stopped car in front of you if you don't hold the brakes.

I feel like Infiniti is the worst offender in terms of every vehicle just appearing to be an upper trim of a standard brand (Nissan) vehicle. Do they have one model that doesn’t look just like its Nissan counterpart?
