[infiNity] An army list for EVERY FACTION in infinity - starting a faction from scratch 

I'm not sure that Tak list has aged well. Can we get an update?

( For context, I'm Vaulsc's most frequent opponent ) 15 isn't massively swarmy. I think as a guideline 10 is small, 13-15 is middling, and 17 or more is spam. Note that I've used everything from 10 to 21 models effectively. The swarm lists are his personal preference. He favours lists which can have massive active turns then hide their important models, and still have the orders to win if half the army's cheerleaders die. He does play Limited Insertion lists sometimes, but usually has a specific plan for it. Personally I favour lists with more depth of quality troops, so it can still act effectively after losing the first couple of good troops: I think the 18-20 order lists get crippled too easily once the best troop in each group dies. I usually have 13-16 with some cheap disposable AROs filling most of group two. Instead of fully hiding my troops I favour setting up careful AROs and using my higher quality troops to pin down the enemy. I think that middling sized lists are most reliable, since they have both the depth to cope with key models being assassinated and cheap AROs to slow the enemy. And ESPECIALLY for a new-ish player, don't try to have two full groups. Have a full main group, and maybe some primarily defensive troops in group two: snipers, warcors, etc. Also maybe something like an airdrop in group two, planning to move it across to group one later in the game once something's died to clear space for it in the group.

I would also add that having 11 or 12 orders can be unhelpful because it gives you a second combat group. That combat group often lacks the orders to do something useful. Moreover, if you only have 10 orders, you are immune to losing 2 orders to the strategic use of command tokens if you happen to go first.

In a game with friends, you are usually free to proxy with whatever you want (just make sure that the opponent always knows what proxies as what). In an official ITS tournament, you can proxy as well, but with the following restrictions: - The miniature you use must be from CB or composed mainly of parts from CB miniatures - The miniature you use must have the same Silhouette value - And again, the opponent always has to know which miniature proxies which unit. But proxying (and kitbashing your own sculpts) in infinity is really no problem in general due to the silhouette system :)

"Is infinity played like warhammer, where minis have to be equipped with what they carry (get what you see) ?" No, not all loadouts have models, and there's a rule stating that you can proxy using other infinity models as long as they have the same silhouette size and you let your opponent know in advance. "Either i am incredibly stupid or some units are hidden in boxes or worst case not available any longer. How the heck do i find them?" 3rd party sellers is probably your best bet. Since most are limited edition, or just very old.
