Really enjoyed the video and hope you do more like this one (I know there are a few more) played my first ever infinity tournament yesterday (not official ITS but using season 9 rules with an old kit a shop had spare) I managed to win using what I had learned from this video. Thanks for the great advice/analysis and strategy.
I think your a little too obsessed with the Unidrons. Everything is inferior to them because of assist fired. This is the wrong way to think about it. You need more threats in your list than just the Unidrons. Xeodrons are great because of their maneuverability and dirt cheap SWC cost. In suppression fire they are still 3 wounds and 2 unconscious states. Sure they can be beat by smoke and CC but it tends to eat up a lot of orders. I'll also disagree on the E-Drone. Compared to the Nexsus Hacker, they are only 4 points more and gain access to breakwater and Kaleidoscope, both quite useful. If your taking TAGs then take the E-drone.
New here. Can you hold a fundraiser to get a new mic or something? Yu Jing faction discussion video was fucking ace for noobs btw thanks for that. But really get a new mic lol.
Hey man, really enjoying your videos. Do you think you could do an one talking about deployment, it's an area I'm always struggling with, either losing troops to long range snipers or fast moving flamers or getting locked down by ARO traps... Also, I'm not sure you are allowed to move the Imetron's between combat groups, something about them being equipment and not troops, which is what the rule specifies. It's worth a quick google (other search engines are available), I remember reading that somewhere and since then I've played it that my Netrods can't jump groups, so they nearly always go in group1.
Is there any reason you're not taking slave drones as order padding? I'm just starting combined and legitimately don't know. Personally I would quite appreciate a rodok video as I do have the onyx contact force and want a reason to use them. Thanks for the awesome video.
I hear you are doing a common rules mistake with your imetrons. AI:Beacons cant be moved between combat groups as they are regarded as deployable equipment and not as a trooper and only troopers can be moved between combat groups. As they are deployable equipment you can steal your opponents AI:Beacons with minesweepers as well. Whit that said. And if they are in the first combat group and scatter out you can use command tokens to move two troopers from group 2 (since you at least always have 2 - 3 in group 2 as casualty fillers) to group 1 since they remove orders after order count.
