Thank you!! The door locked on my 2011 G37 sport at the gas station and wouldn't budge...your video was a big help. The 'screw' holding the carpet was a pull pin that comes out with pliers, but the locking mechanism was the same! Thank God!!! Just for a note ...I've had the car for 13 years and just now starting to have various problems with it...time for a change!!

Wife had an issue this morning - was wondering why this was not just a mechanical latch.... FYI - the driver's door needs to be unlocked to release the latch - this worked for her... but yes - will have a Philips head screwdriver in car from no on! Thanks!

Just remove that rectangle vent located on side panel. Easy access to the actuator.

Any idea for a qx70 2017? Doesn't have that panel
