Just made a compilation of Ryan's and Min's best/worst moments with a few edits, I didn't wanted to edit emotional scenes tho Infinity Train belongs to Cartoon Network and HBO max Please support the show so we can get more seasons :(
Yeah, It's about being happy in life. Not about an ideology... Not being flawless.. Not finding your special one even.. It's just about being you, and doing what makes ya happy, but also, don't be a jerk to others because of your happiness.. That's not cool.. I forgot where I was going with this.....
I'm glad none of them became "the Simon" of the group, like I was lowkey expecting. We really needed to see a healthy reconstruction of a relationship after season 3 tbh. The truth is, no relationship is perfect, and season 4 doesn't shy away from that, but that doesn't mean it can't still be fixed
This relationship is wholesome regardless if you interpret it as romantic or platonic, and I think that's great writing! I personally see them as friends in canon, but boyfriends in my headcanon.
Nice way of explaining it In my opinion they are friends with crushes on eachother but aren't going through with it Due to still working things out at the end they never got together❤ In a way it's Friends with benefits
Great writing for not giving us canonical boyfriends? Why is it always same-sex dynamics that have to be ambiguous and “up to interpretation” but we can always tell immediately that a man and woman are either friends or dating? It’s getting tiredsome.
Listen i love me some platonic relationships but i just can’t see them blushing every time they get too close and compliment each other as heterosexual behavior shdhdhd
I see them more as an aro and/or ace relationship rather than straight best friends personally. Still platonic, but not lacking in intimacy or deep love
Two dudes!?!?! Giving each other COMPLIMENTS!?!?!! This has never been done by guy friends ever, they are clearly gay!! No two dudes have ever complimented each other! It's never happened!! When dudes are friends they just stare unblinking at each other as they make passive aggressive comments at each other!! Like I support shipping and I do think the story of Book 4 would have been more emotionally investing if they were boyfriends having a tough time but the constant assumption that male friends can't be emotionally close is just showing how little some people know about how guys actual behave and spend time together.
@@chazzergamer nah im a gay woman friends with gay woman and we are all so touchy we have had peers, teachers, AND our parents wondering if we are dating. And we STILL don’t blush every time we get too close. Like is not them being friends, is how some of the interactions were made. Is not a reach at all.
This scene made me laugh too. But I think Min-ki would be happier to be told that she's serious and smart, or that she's hardworking and capable, than to be told that he's beautiful. (I'm using translation software, so the text may be a little strange. Sorry)
Its alright. I'll be 17 next month and I have the feelings for a middle aged cartoon scientist who only shows half his face, has two kids one's a gamer and the other's paranormal obsessed and believes in aliens.
I'm gay but I can see that perspective. I mean there hasn't really been too much cartoon straight characters to get together and be together on screen sense Kim and Ron. I kinda wanna see more Straight couples and Gay couples get together and be together at the same time
Idk what it is with people in this comment section. Their relationship is what you make of it. They can be friends, they can be soulmates, they can be whatever you think of them. I personally think they are friends at the beginning of the series and don't start seeing their feelings for one another till the end of the book. They still aren't official boyfriends at the end of it but its implied that they eventually become boyfriends after the book ends
As an asian person, this was by far my favorite season, i loved seeing 2 asian main characters in an American cartoon show Not to mention their relationship is so well written that you care for them the whole way
This season genuinely hurts me, what with how Min handles his emotions. Actually, how they both deal with their emotions. I can relate to them both so much and seeing Min trying to act like he’s okay jeez it makes me tear up. Because it’s like a “hey, I do that!” Moment but in a “wow. That’s really upsetting that I do that” kinda way. Is this over sharing? Hsshshshshs
Okay unpopular opinion but this was actually probably my favorite season/book. Even though it was more layer back, I really liked how it focused on their relationship, as opposed to other plot points. Also, we know it was supposed to lead to book 5, and I think it did a pretty great job on that. I live for their relationship, platonic and/or romantic, and this whole season was just amazing.
I COULD NOT AGREE MORE!! This book was personally my favorite season, and it hurts that some people just didn’t like it because it was more layed back of whatever.
Honestly would have loved this season to have been the grand finale for the series. If this series was book 8, I would have loved it, we actually got to see the train be the train. If Infinity Train wasn't canceled, this should have been the grand finale
they literally invented enemies to lovers edit: y’all this video was literally my first impression on the whole series calm down 😭😭 i know they aren’t enemies n shit no need 2 b rude abt it jesus christ
8:56 the way the train tempted Ryan with the door was kinda underhanded. and kind of paradoxical. he said he wouldn't leave Min behind again, even after all this conflict, which was a development that made his number go to zero. but going through the door would mean abandoning his friend (boyfriend?). and just considering the option made his number rocket back up to 115....
My opinions on ✨the ship✨ I do definitely ship them, but i feel like they probably didnt have a relationship until after the train I think Min-Gi probably liker Ryan for a while (since most of the emotional stuff and blushing came from Min) But Ryan Probably didnt realize HIS feelings until later on (Also in the end theres a rainbow of lights behind them 👌)
reasons they're gay: - red and blue (big gay) - rock band - childhood friends - slow burn - gnc character (kinda sussy idk/jk) - one is obsessed with david bowie come ON - i said so and bc i'm gay it's true fight me - too many moments where they looked like they were gonna smooch thank u for coming to my ted talks
@@LordShrub your right but at least it isn't normalized & they work through it instead of bottling up their feelings & getting into a drunk bar fight then never speaking to each other again.
I appreciate how the didn’t make their relationship outright romantic. (Ig some ppl might view it that way but) It’s really important to show to men in a friendship being vulnerable with each other. Even hugging each other and crying around the other.
You appreciate that it wasn’t gay? Do you realise how homophobic that sounds? You gonna prioritise platonic male friendships, a dynamic that has been shoved down our throats for decades and has NEVER been censored, over a romantic gay dynamic that HAS been censored for decades and is rare in media? Platonic male friendships are fucking everywhere. In every cartoon where the main male protagonists are close friends who have female love interests, in every dudebro action movie, in every adult sitcom, in every video game, in every comic, in every ANIME (god it’s fucking everywhere in anime lmfao). Like what do you mean normalize????? And why do you have to throw gay m/m relationships under the bus? Sorry but we’re not going to sacrifice LGBT representation for a friendship dynamic that 1) is already fucking everywhere and normalised and 2) for a stigma that we didn’t invent and frankly is none of our business lmfao. Like sorry but straight men not being able to be intimate with each other is not our fault nor our business, please keep LGBT representation and relationships out of your mouth ✨ Straight men invented that standard and they continue to uphold it everyday. A bunch of LGBT teens on Twitter shipping male characters together doesn’t contribute to the standard whatsoever 👍 So no, there is no shortage of platonic male friendships in media and gay relationships do not outnumber them. Our existence didn't get censored for decades just for you guys to act like platonic male friendships are somehow more revolutionary over a LGBT relationship 💀
@@ricardo8640 okay dude you don’t need to get super offended about mainstream showing that two guys can get along without having their egos get in the way. Again, there is also a standard that men shouldn’t be vulnerable around each other which is also underrepresented. Saying that people “need” lgbt representation over something is like telling someone with depression that there are situations worse than theirs- they obviously know that. Or it’s like donating money to an animal shelter and being like “well there’s homeless people out there needing money just as much.” So if you’re discriminating against people that are happy for an example of that it’s okay for dudes to cry in front of each other and be vulnerable, again, also underrepresented, then it doesn’t give you the moral high ground. This dude wasn’t even hating on gay relationships either. They were just saying that it was nice to not be romantic, note that they didn’t say that they were glad it wasn’t gay. It should be noted that the oppressed can be oppressors too, and while I’m sure you had the best intentions, being underrepresented/oppressed doesn’t exactly give the right to bash other societal stigmas
Infinity train theory : This is when the train was first starting to figure everything out, almost like it just started realizing what it wanted to be. They both have uniforms, and even though Ryan and Min Gi both go against there character growth multiple times, the height they’re number goes is 202, they’re the first pair and presumably last pair on the train. All the Nulls on the train seem more hostile or cheeky (if that makes sense). Or maybe it’s when Amelia started her little take over, which might mean she’s been running the train sense the 70s to 80s (which is when I think this might take place but I’m not sure), even though this isn’t my favorite season it felt necessary for the introduction of season 5, so I literally beg you if someone from like the hbo max hq is reading this with the power to renew the show PLEASE, this show has a massive fan base and is literally the only reason I got an hbo max subscription. The show has the potential to be one of the best shows of the decade don’t let that go please #renewinfinitytrain
Its mentioned that Amelia got One to change things around before she took over. After that, she didnt care about the train. She was only concerned with her goal of making a train car where Alrick was alive.
The cat has actually stated that she has been around for 500 years, i dont know which season it was but i remembered her stating it so i think thats how long the train existed or maybe even longer. i remembered someone theorized that she could have been the first denizen since she seems so knowledged about the train and stuff too but i still like ur theory. i cant recall if all the nulls/denizens are aware that they are in a train or if they know why people are there, but i did notice the hostility within them too. it could be just because of Kez who did a lot of wrong things to them causing them to be more antagonistic, but Ryan and MIn could have just been unlucky to come across more agressive denizens. but as for Morgan The Hotel Castle, she was aware of what passengers are compared to what i remembered in season 1, the denizens just seem to not be aware of their purpose. so maybe amelia's take over has affected the way that denizens behave, perhaps one-one is responsible of how they act too. But yknow thats just a possibility, i think that some are aware and some are not and continue to just vibe lol
i love that people are either saying they're bff or boyfriends, i like the boyfriends option a lot because no "femboy uwu x masc dom r*pey" ship, just two idiots but them staying just friends is a perfect ending for me too
I know this was posted eleven months ago but I will *never* be over the moment at 9:04. Ryan promises to never leave his best friend, so the train decides to *check his bluff-* Giving him the exact exit he would need to leave Min behind. He could leave the train at the cost of that friendship. And the fact his number goes back up because *he considers taking it.*
@@koolooc726 Yeah absolutely! I also like the fact that Ryan wasn't characterized as a terrible unforgivable person for considering doing something. Yes, it was a test, but one he did technically pass. Min reassuring him later that "It was just a bad thought- I have those all the time" was really nice. It was just the train telling him quietly to act good on his word and stay with his soulmate (platonic or romantic)
I love how this show portrays people and relationships in such a raw way. Even though Mingi and Ryan were both people who made mistakes and treated each other badly at times, their characters and growth is written so well that we can't help but root for them to patch up and keep going. I like to read their relationship as romantic but i love how it works just as well in a platonic sense too. Isn't platonic connection the root of any relationship anyway?
Real it’s so overlooked just because it wasn’t as intense as books 2 and 3 but like if every book just kept increasing the stakes with no levity I don’t think I’d have as much fun watching the show tbh.
i started this season and fully thought it was going to be about two best friends who fell in love but didn’t tell each other, and didn’t fully understand each other. then on the train they learn how to truly understand each other, and even though they’re scared, they tell each other how they feel once they escape. but i’m not mad at how the season went, i love it either way
This season really hit me deeply, I am care free like Ryan and my best friend is worried about his success like ming gi, their fighting makes me want to actually cry cuz of how accurate it is, I love my best friend but we haven't worked through our issues like them
Theyre both too immature to date in the show but theyre definitely in love which means after they get off the train theyre gonna date and i wouldnt be surprised if they were a couple by the time they were performing together at the end
For real, I started to really hate him during that time. The way he would ruin some incredibly sweet moments between him and Ryan. Oh gee, I wonder why it took you so long to get your number down 🤦♀️🤦♀️
I thought for sure they were gonna be gay given how everyone was hyping them up. I mean, it's technically still possible, as they only just fixed their relationship at the end so there's still room for it to be platonic or romantic, but either way I loved their ever shifting dynamic throughout the show. Least favorite season, still made me cry, Infinity train is perfect and I'd murder a child for more seasons
I'm just happy that both of them manage to get out of the train alive, I thought they gonna pull "leave me" sacrifice trope when Min's door showed up. Also if ever book 5 gets continued and released. It's said the next theme would be 'Grief' so maybe the next main passenger will probably die this time :(
I think it has more to do with someone dealing with the death of someone close to them, probably Amelia since we saw a few storyboards scenes with her in the yearbook they posted
I love how every season has a passenger, a train anomaly, and either an animal or a denizen. 1: tulip, one one, and Atticus 2: Jesse, lake, and Alan Dracula 3: Grace, Simon, Hazel, tuba, and Amelia sort of 4: Ryan and min-gi, and Kez Fun fact, in season 4, the train anomaly would be the passengers. Because of how they’re a two for one situation. Sharing the same number together. (I remember I always wanted to see a multi-passenger number situation, I actually had ideas where maybe there could be this family who gets on the train together, and sharing the same number like Ryan and min-gi, it’d be like extreme family counseling).
These two really reminded me of my best friend and I, the good aspects and the bad. This gives me hope that even if we seem to drift apart we’ll always be best bros.
I feel like, at the very least, Min felt something for Ryan, but due to this season taking place in the 80s, I don't think their relationship would go further, due to homosexuality not being socially acceptable in the 80s. Ryan is totally pansexual though, dude's first instinct was to try seducing a cat in that one wild west-themed car. He's basically a DnD Bard.
Honestly I thought they were going to be but watching it I don't think they are. Well at least not for each other. I thought I'd be disappointed but honestly I love this fluffy male friendship.
These two are adorable together. Ok but people who are like "they are straight" "they aren't gay" or "their just friends." Please, don't force that onto other people. Some people like to think that theyre gay. Im one of those people, I think they are soulmates who need time to rebond and build up that trust again before they get together officially.
Okay so I know they don't end up together in the end in a romantic sense but... This show does a fantastic job of normalizing bromance with just enough of a hint that it's like... they COULD get together. Min isn't seen with anyone at all in the show and Ryan, while he's had a few flings/girlfriends, they didn't really work out for him. I could be reading into it too much but I think this show might have pushed it a little bit towards the angle that they are more than just friends. They already did a good job repping the trans community with Lake and it keeps getting better and better each time.
