I know where you're coming from with Loki. INFJs don't really go out of their way to troll other people the way that ENTPs do. Also, I'm in the school of thought that values truth and thinks emotional manipulation is disgusting and extremely duplicitous.
As an infj, I agree with this, I don't like th idea of manipulating people either so I have no skill in it. I mostly probe interesting people to find stuff out. And I am not a fan of some of the ways the youtuber portrays infjs but hey that's just me.
oh INFJs are completely capable of manipulating lol and im sick of people saying we are not. whether its on purpose or not INFJs are good manipulators.
As an Enfp I've got that skill in a way too that as CS Joseph says we're 'thought vampires' like when I try to (nag) persuade my friends into watching shows I like or acting none the wiser for the funnies or so people will talk and answer my questions, I think i actually unintentionally-intentionally forget things just so someone will talk to me about something again
The thing is that Loki isn't emotionally manipulative though, he's manipulative with the logic, and NiTi does like to bend logic sometimes. Also I think that Loki is really a post narcissistic abuse INFJ. I think that is what people could be missing. He's traumatized and reactive from the trauma. I also thought he would have to be an ENTP before I watch how they actually played him. They do play him out as more of an INFJ. He has a single directive and eventhough he's trying all kinds of avenues he's still working towards the singular vision of opening up the timeline to all. ENTPs also don't overtly call themselves kings of chaos, they just are. It's like after his trauma he has to convince people he is through words, and that's like an INFJ trying to role play and build a new skill in an underdeveloped area of their personal growth skillset. ENTPs don't tell anyone they are chaotic, which is what makes them chaotic, no one is expecting them to change their mind as quickly as they appear to. But everything Loki does is towards a single larger goal of freeing all the time lines. Also while INFJs do appear ridged at times, they usually are motivated by the idea of freeing others to live and be themselves eventhough INFJ can have a hard time pinning down their own idea of that, so will often borrow and or help others achieve it, supplementally. Or at least till we can figure it out for ourselves.
THANK YOU! I saw Loki was typed as an INFJ and was very confused. Ever since the Loki tv show came out, people have been typing him as an INFJ. To be honest, I do think he acts a little different in the tv show vs. the movies, but I still think you're right that he is an ENTP.
I do think he was an INFJ. His core motivations are those of a slightly narcissistic INFJ. One thing about INFJs is that we often don't feel as if we even have a personality that's compatible with others. So instead we'll act like another personality that we unconciously admire or view as more active or confident. Types like ENTJ, ENTP, etc., are common "masks" INFJs wear.
Being an infj and What I understand about infj Seems they had some kind of childhood trauma So that would explain reading people When you can read people it makes it a little more easier to manipulate

I've never tried to make an INFJ character before (mainly because my own type I believe is very far from NiFeTiSe so I cant associate myself with the character enough to write them properly) BUT I have encountered several irl people who are i believe INFJs so I have something to work off of
The best INFJ IMHO is Daenerys Targaryen. Her idealism checks out, but like a INFJ she goes off the deep end and gets absolutely ruthless and cold when she's fed up with everyone's crap.
Great video. I’m on the fence about Loki i can definitely see ENTP but I also see more Ni than Ne. I’m gonna have to go with INFJ but like all characters he’s a bit inconsistent in behavior so it’s hard to judge.
Dude, MCU did some character's development dirty. Loki i am afraid is one of them. It's hard to keep the character's personality the same while having 420 different writers writing new movies and shows with Loki

After the next vid (charcter study) I was thinking about making a video on ENFPs but now that i am thinking about it it probably makes sense to make more of a comparison video on ENFPs and ESFPs since they are very often mixed up. Also huge thanks :3
I didn't know Loki was typed as an INFJ. He lacked the need for structure, so clearly a Perceiving type; he's spontaneous and unpredictable, as is the case for EXXP's; he does lead with an Intuitive function, given his abstract and future-oriented schemes, but he's surprisingly more innovative and "at least one will work" (Ne) than insightful and "this is the ultimate victory" (Ni) about his visions. However, I'm still unsure of which Thinking and Feeling functions he actually has; I can't tell if he works within and around structures (Te) or applies a conceptualized understanding of them (Ti), and if he's capable of reading other people's intentions clearly (Fe) or he uses highly developed feelings to assess the emotions and profiles of others (Fi). ENXP, basically.
The thing is, combinations of some of the functions may mimic the workings of other functions. An ENTP can be extremily goal oriented but what sets them apart from ENTJs is that their goal is evechanging (what we see in Loki). If ENTJs tend to focus one industry/career path/goal and etc. ENTPs can do just random shit but being very persuasive about it
I rewatched movies including Loki (and his show), and I agree, he is a goal-oriented ENTP. I was able to remember a little more clearly how his Thinking and Feeling functions worked. He supported his changing goals with his personal logic (Ti), since he is prone to managing and twisting every logical aspect he encounters to support his goals, and his motivation has empathetic qualities (Fe) in the guise of ruling others, or some form of control for his ideologies (Ti-Fe). I think I got that right.
Ni doms are perceiving types. As Ni is a perceiving function. Socionics got this right, but mbti got it wrong. Myers Briggs defines j or p by the first extroverted function and neglects the introverted function. Socionics does not.
