Infjs are often lonely because of their fear of rejection causing them to close themselves off from others. Which is kind of what they wanted to avoid, but they created a self fulfilling prophecy. Then they complain that they are lonely.

Yes, I do get lonely at times, but i realize that God is with me always. It can be hard yo be around people, but I still yearn for that connection. I constantly remind infjs to be straight up and cut the bullshit when I hear them say it cause I know they care about saying what sounds right than what they actually believe sometimes. Loneliness is something completely natural and we all feel it. Some people stronger than others. But I can tell when an infj is enjoying themselves and when they are REALLY enjoying themselves. I like to be the one that these people can be listened by and understood and I think I've achieved that. They usually kind of... Choose me. Just like I choose them. Of that makes sense. -ENTP

You said it all very well! I have two friends with whom I confide in. Sometimes when I'm around people who don't understand me and are just draining, I'll appreciate my close friends that much more and tell them how much I love them for that. It's like a breath of fresh air! This actually happened a few days ago, and it made me so emotional I cried to them and told them how much I appreciated the fact that they understood me, in that I feel seen and heard. But I could see how they were surprised because I don't always open up that way. I value that so much from the people in my life and I do make sure to share that appreciation with them.
