I have to agree, it does depend. I've been on a few marketplaces for a while now and I'm also with companies that offer free products. Whenever I record anything, I always give it the same respect as I would a paid brand deal.
Same here, it depends. My strategy is a mix of these influencer platforms PLUS pitching directly. Some platforms will allow you to pitch your rates based on the brand briefs, others have a set rate that you can choose to apply for, or not. I try to have all my social platforms optimized for brands to easily reach me, so I'll get a dash of inbound emails....like a sprinkle, lol.
