Nice video thanks. Used as a reference. I had hot passenger side, cold drivers. The white small cog where you were working has one large cog, this needs to be aligned with the control cable black cog with the tooth missing. Mine was 3 teeth out. Previous bodgie work by an inept baggy arse. GGN15R 2006-2009.
Having the same problem on my 05 kun36r diesel. Cant rotate the selector for the dasd/feet/face. Sometimes goes all the way left as I been under there working on it, but I'm feeling something inside the black box is jamming the flap or whatever mechanism is moving in there. cant see a way to easily access that without pulling a heap of shit out. The hot cold wire was an easy fix, it jummed the spool. your video gave me the confidence to at least have a go. thanks
My airflow selector is stuck on far right. Unplugged it underneath and the cables move freely but seems to be the big white cog it moves is stuck. Any ideas? Great video, got me on the right path
Had only one globe blow in an ‘08 hilux behind the heater controls. I think the rubber Condom makes life just that little bit harder for the globes, but can’t say for sure.
Great video. What is the switch next to the cogs underneath? I have the problem where I get no hot air when I turn the dial to hot. Dial turns very easily, feel no resistance. Heater box is not leaking. My analysis is the valve is not opening allowing hot water to flow through the box. I will check to see if the white plastic part with the tail on it is not broken, you mentioned they get brittal so chance it is broken.
