Let me just say, this is GOLD. I have been struggling to write out my informative speech for school and this puts all my questions to rest in one video. I also appreciate the outline and the speech example in the description. Cant thank you enough
I'm taking a speech class online with very few examples to pull from and zero lecture videos. This just took all of the anxiety out of this class! Thank you!
Yeah sure this is very informative. In case you are interested for some personal academic help I will be more than glad to help you out also. Here is my mail professorethan4@gmail.com
You're welcome, Ryan! I am continuing to expand the content of this channel please take a moment to like, subscribe, and share it with others. Perhaps som of your fellow students if you watched this for a class.
I've seen and heard this all before. But not like this! Wow, Comm Studies, this is amazing. I'm so used to seeing good videos, by others, with a number of steps and the points covered - with some limp examples. But your presentation has that ka-pow punch to it. It does not just list the elements of the speech. It says what they are used for, why it matters and how to do it. First class. Thank you so much for posting.
Wow! I am taking online classes and this is such a blessing. I was so excited to come across this. I will be looking at the link provided next. Thank you for your time and skill in this matter. I will be subscribing and watching many more of your videos.
Thank you, I came here from your old video on your other channel, I was just wondering if you could explain some examples of credibility and how to put it into a speech. Thank you
I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I have a few examples of informative speeches on my site that mirror the outline I discuss. Those may help reinforce your understanding.
This professor is much more helpful and understandable when explaining this. No offense for my Comm studies professor, he is more distracted if we ever make any single noise in his class, even if we cough or sneeze, drop a pen on the ground, when he hears any phones ring or vibrate, sees any bow their heads down or even look away, he will literally stop the whole class and spend more time lecturing whoever is responsible. And that is frustrating when you are trying to learn, he stops halfway, and starts over again.
What I learned summarized: You need to capture the audience with an attention-grabbing introduction, arguably the most important part of your speech. You need to let the audience know you’re credible through experience or research. You must explain how your topic is relevant to the audience. As far as the content of the speech, must be structured sort of like an essay. It must be presented though a thesis with preview points, then the body to elaborate on the points. Organize your body and points with transitions. In the conclusion wrap up by restating theses and points and leave a lasting impression with your audience.
