That an infp/infj ability to write anything in chronological order is factually impossible that putting us on a timeline only produces shotty work because we need it to be our own time & order to deliver the message we intend because it takes time to process what we think and believe in and put it into words to reach the masses or at least the audience we want to see and hear what we have to say. I wish I had known for at least a moment of my life before recently that from the time that I could really process thought and hold memory i knew I was special to this world..it's knowing that comes from the soul that you're different and you're special.. I wish that that could have been known and I wish I could have had it reinforced. It's so hard to know you're special and then be told you're not just to find out you were right the whole time if only people had just paid attention and listened the world could have already started to become & be that better place a long time ago because every NF I know is a spiritually gifted healer, seer, & teacher. If only we could have gotten the attention and recognition that we needed instead of all that help blending in with the background from the ones who don't understand us or by the ones that dislike the reflection they see of themselves while they're around us. Awareness education sensitivity and knowledge on how to protect our energy. A lot of us transmute energy we take negativity in we turn it into light we absorb others pain hurt sorrow and we give them back love acceptance and forgiveness. We are energetic sponges absorbing what is in the darkness to return it to the light to keep this world moving growing elevating and pretty much just sane. I am a very spiritually awoken extremely sensitive astoundingly spiritually gifted infp and I can see very clearly how more than one of me incite massive change and bring so much love into this world

The real struggle as an INFP is being a procrastinator and a perfectionist simultaneously ...then being fustrated with the end result as you know it wasn't what you're fully capable of... resulting in being self conscious about looking incompetent .... struggles

I'm sorry. Every time people tell me "you're a hard worker" I know it's not true. I know myself, I know how much of a procrastinator I am. I will fake working a lot while not doing what I'm supposed to do. Like I'm doing right now, I should be studying for my super important exam I'll have to give next week. Instead, I'm on the internet, consciously and subconsciously trying to get away from my duties. This is the main thing which I feel divides me the most from INFP-T people. I'm lazy and useless as heck. I'm not like you guys, I *wish* I was like you. I'm a procrastinator in my very soul, and I feel like I can't escape it and I never will be able to change this part of me. I'm doomed to keep faking doing stuff even tho I hate it.
@MsDoryLinda

So what's on the other side of you doing the work, showing up, and succeeding that you don't want to face? You seem to acknowledge that you are consciously and subconsciously avoiding that.
@gauntlettcf5669
@gauntlettcf5669 4 года назад
@@MsDoryLinda Sorry if my previous message sounded like I wasn't giving the proper merit to your video, I forgot to mention it but I loved it. The only problem I have, the only difference I find between the other INFP-T and me, is the one I mentioned. Maybe I'm not and INFP-T after all... And about your question, I honestly don't know. Even when I try to put my best effort, I end up not doing half of the work I should do in time. And most of the times I don't even face the consequences, because I do all the work at the very last second and end up getting away with it, but I know it's not healthy behavior for me and for my work ethic, and it's not right towards the people who expect something from me and believe in me. I just don't know why I keep behaving like this. I'm so used to falling in the same way, that I ended up almost accepting it, even if I always feel terrible about it.
@gauntlettcf5669
@gauntlettcf5669 4 года назад
Now that I think about it, maybe it could be the fact that I consider "putting my best effort and failing" a worse outcome than "putting almost no effort and failing because of it". Or maybe I'm just making up excuses with myself to avoid accepting and correcting my defects. Sorry if I'm bothering you with this.

I'm finna cry reading all these comments. It's insane how it seems like I've found a community of individuals that understand me - that I can relate to so deeply. I've been feeling so alone and like something is wrong with me because of the RIDICULOUS procrastination habit that's ruining my life lowkey. It's like this: I know I have potential. I know I'm gifted. I know I'm talented and that if i really work towards that, nothing will touch me. But I still find myself stuck and stagnant because anything I start doing is never good enough. I have so many unfinished songs, poems, stories that I strongly believe would flourish; I don't wanna work for anybody else specifically because of the faith I have in my abilities, but this crippling perfectionism keeps me from doing anything. I'm growing so tired. I don't want to be this way anymore! Fellow INFP-T's, you're not alone.

The self-criticism I/we heap upon ourselves is so harsh. We/I wouldn't think of treating someone else that way. It helps when I remind myself to be present and be the observer or witness of my experience. I agree so much! I just finished my student teaching, and now I'm rethinking my whole career path. I loved teaching/interacting with my kids, and coming up with lesson plans. Hi! Fellow INFP-T here. I think I would remind my younger self that she doesn't have to do something just because people are doing it. I would tell her that she doesn't always have to keep up with people's expectations of her, because she has to learn about and do things in her own time. Another thing I would tell her is to not be disappointed with herself because she thinks she's "behind" some people, when in fact it's just about her tempo, which is a little different than others.

Wow when I was in my 20's I was definitely lost! Like the tv show trying to get so real world Lol. Seriously though I was tell him 1. Go to therapist sooner to heal from childhood trauma to break from bad habits and thinking distortions 2. Invest time exploring who you are(habits good and bad) if your not happy where you are you have to change your habits. If you want to be where someone is, find out their habits and implement them. 3. Explore hobbies that excite and vibrate you, when you explain these to other people they say your eyes brighten 4. Feel the fear and do it anyway. Start small and realize that after it was done how scared you were and how you over thought it. Your feelings are just a mirror put up to your thoughts good and bad 5. Read more, you always have been interested in everything. It really shows when you speak

I wish everyone could just spend several months (or more) alone, away from the world. Just being in solitude. Not having to worry about getting a career or an education or what have you. What I learned from this video is: don't fight your natural way of being. Don't wish you were a judging type who does everything in a systematic way. Allow yourself to be as you are. Find jobs that will work with you rather than forcing yourself into roles that go against who you are and don't allow you to be your best self.

One thing I read the other day is that you dont need to feel good to take action. That not only motivation leads to action, but that also action leads to motivation. So for me its about JUST DOING IT, just at least get started, and from there, it follows. This procastination is very much linked to perfectionism, that if I dont get it just RIGHT, Im not even gonna bother DOING it, let alone start doing it. But that leads you nowhere and what you are left with is a chronic sense of shame of not living up to your ideals and goals. So, yeah, throwing away perfectionism does help and just START somewhere. (English is not my native tongue, I apologize)
@MsDoryLinda
@MsDoryLinda 3 года назад
Yes being willing to start somewhere and do so imperfectly is a god place to start. For most free spirited people external motivations don't usually drive or influence internal motivation to keep going. For them the scrip has to flip and they have to draw from accepting what is, and allow that to drive everything else. So it's the internal acceptance stance that then encourages the external satisfaction that then starts a positive loop to keep going.

I'm a guy with the INFP-T personality type. I've been in my current career for about a decade. In my 30s I already feel like I've stagnated and settled for mediocrity. I like the idea of being a writer like so many other INFPs however, trying to figure out what to write about is very difficult and trying to figure out how to make a living it from it seems near impossible. I'm honestly sick of working with other people. When I completed the online quiz it told me that I'm 97% intorverted just to give you an idea. I want to feel the joys of success. I want to feel like I'm doing something worthwhile. Just seems so difficult to do. Okay I've vented. Thanks for reading!

As INFPs we're definitely explorers and being in one place for too long can for sure make us feel stuck. One way I'd look at it is you're already experiencing success, having found something that you can apply yourself in for a decade. The joy, I believe, is in completing those phases and moving along when it's time. Which is where you are at right now. Have you come across Lauren Sapala? You can look her up here on RU-vid. I took her mini course in intuitive writing and loved her approach. She works specifically with INFJs and INFPs aspiring writers and I believe she just recently launched another course to teach the business side of things and how to make writing a viable career. I'd recommend her work if that's the route you want to venture into next. Do let me know how this progresses for you, if you can 😊

For the monetisation part : - if you want to write fiction, try putting it into an ebook (Kindle for example) and selling it on Amazon - if you think you would prefer writing non fiction, use Amazon affiliation program: you can write about your passions and put the corresponding links to buy stuff inside or at the end of the article. Learning SEO can help you rank your articles into Google's SERPs. Brian Dean is a good SEO teacher ; his tips work pretty well, from my experience.

I quit right before i had to do a presentation. It made me feel like something was wrong with me since i’ve always struggled with speaking, like i’m just genuinely bad at it. But in these past months i came to the conclusion that that kind of environment wasnt right for me since i was really stressed out and anxious most of the time, plus i struggled to get to class, i probably skipped half of it. Right now im doing art and trying out new things. I’ve decided to listen to myself more and figure out what’s right for me, that i dont have to force myself into something im uncomfortable doing. I’m afraid of it as well… If someone tells me to do something with a deadline, I’ll do it. I like to be helpful, so I always do everything as best as I can to please others. But if I needed to do something for myself only, I wouldn’t spend my energy to do it. I don’t think I would be able to be self employed, because I need some structure to rely on, have some ground to stand on, and if I could change this structure as I pleased (by being self employed, for example) I would just procrastinate forever.
@MsDoryLinda
@MsDoryLinda 4 года назад
That's so interesting... so do you think it's the responsibility to others or the structure in and of itself that drives you? If you structure your self employment in a way that you have to show up because you provide a service or product to people, is that the same thing in your eyes?
@priscila3792
@priscila3792 4 года назад
@@MsDoryLinda The structure keeps me on the right track, and the responsability to others makes me move forward. I think that if I was self employed and really believed that my work was important to someone... Maybe I could do it. But I would frequently have self doubts, like "is it really important?", "Am I really doing the right thing?"... And that would be really exhausting.
@MsDoryLinda
@MsDoryLinda 4 года назад
"...if I believed my work was important to someone...maybe I could do it..." You know reading your reaponse reminded me of a video I was watching the other day by Sunny Lernaduzzi where she was talking about a value of a $50 bill. She had one on her hand, tore it up, asked if it was still worth $50? Threw it to the ground, stepped on it and asked if it was still worth $50? The answer is, it did, no matter what rough treatment it went through. It didn't lose its value. If I was to translate that into the scenario in our conversation, would $50 cease to be $50 if it was shown to people who didn't know it was a $50 bill? Meaning is the value of who you are and an expression of that determined by others? What if they don't recognize what you've got? Is it enough if YOU recognize what you've got? An even more important question is, do you? Just something to think about 😉 Sometimes we have to be willing to peak behind the curtain and ask what's really hiding behind our thoughts, you know!

@vii6429
@vii6429 3 года назад
@@tedransome2388 aww thanks!! Also hello, fellow NF! INFJs and INFPs are really similar actually, even though our cognitive functions are completely different. But I know one INFJ irl and I'd say we're pretty similar. A few differences are that he tends to absorb others' emotions while I try to understand them and I do that best by trying to relate, or find a similar experience I had and try to understand how the person is feeling that way. Hes also a lot more organized than me, he makes plans for everything and I think he actually feels a bit anxious when he doesn't. I don't mind his plans but I usually prefer to just see what happens. Also he can literally predict the future. How cool is that!!!! Can all infjs do that?? Another major thing is that while we both worry about whether the other person feels like were annoying/a burden/if they hate us, my infj is a bit extreme in that, if i don't text him one day he'll think I am mad at him. And he constantly needs reassurance that i still want him to be my friend lmbo. And also I need to be extremely careful about what I say, if I say smt he doesnt like he will go cold and unresponsive... with me, if you say something I don't like and that goes against my morals, I will still secretly judge you, but I will mask that and try to still be nice and joyful. Another thing is that he shows emotions a lot more easily than I do. I don't know if this is how all INFPs work but I'm just gonna say how I work: so basically when I'm alone I will cry easily and show my emotions, but when I'm with others I will definitely bottle things up. For example, even tho Im good at drama, I literally cannot cry. But if I try at home i can do it in less than two seconds. But in the rare case that I do cry w others, I usually tend to let it all out and cry for hours. For example, one time my Chemistry teacher told me that I had to stick in some sheets... I am not joking when I say I cried for 8 hours straight. And the thing is I think what triggered it wasn't even what she said, it was the way she said it. Lmao, I feel so dumb "ooh i cried cuz my teacher said I have to stick some sheets in my book" djjdbd. But yh so these are the most evident differences I could think of😊 Some videos i feel capture the infp type really well are: - about being an introvert with a colorful mind INFP TPC - AURORA- through the eyes of a child live (shes an infp singer songwriter. Literally all of her music is peak infp lol) -fictional INFP characters volume 2 -INFP-"The Healer" -famous INFPs volume 1 and 2 If I can think of anymore I'll edit this comment😊😊 I hope this helped!! (Also, sorry for any grammatical inconsistencies, I'm not English)
@tedransome2388
@tedransome2388 3 года назад
@@vii6429 Hello =D I also think we're similar. Though, I feel like I get more attached to my INFP friends than they do me. You're correct about them with emotions. INFJ's with Ni and Se pick up on what the other person is feeling but might not completely understand it. While INFP with Ne and Si pick up on what the other person might be feeling and can relate because they have experienced it themselves. The planning thing is very very true haha. A couple of weeks ago I went camping with two of my INFP friends and their "planning" was doing absolutely no planning haha. I think I had 3 or 4 anxiety attacks. I think in a way we do have a weird ability to predict the future. That same camping trip we found out we couldn't burn wood for a fire. So, we drove back to town for warm blankets. One of my friends saw a 80$ portably heater and wanted to buy it. I had a bad feeling about it and told him not to. He didn't listen and when we got back to the campsite the heater didn't work! Even the instructions said that sometimes they just don't work. I have no idea how I knew. I also am great at picking out people that we shouldn't keep around. I have a very extroverted friend that loves to meet new people. Over the 6 years we have been friends, every time I've told her that I don't think we should have someone hangout with us that person in some way ends up doing something bad. Some have stolen from us, others have started drama and rumors. Haha you may be right about INFJ's worrying about it more. Even I just said that I think I like my INFP friends more than they like me haha. I also really don't like when someone doesn't respond to my texts but I can wait about a week before my feelings are hurt. That's interesting about how he reacts to hearing something he doesn't like. I react kind of like you, but it's because I'm either trying to figure out why they other person said it or trying to figure out how I actually feel about it. That's also really interesting, it's kind of the opposite for me and my INFP friends. They are always really open with me about their feelings. Where as I don't try to bottle my feelings but I spend so much time focusing on them that my feelings just don't come up. My thoughts usually are like this: "They are already going through so much, they don't need to hear about my problems. I'll talk to them about it when things get better" I don't think INFP's are more likely to cry with no one around though. I'll check them out, thanks! =D Also, your English seems perfect to me!

I think it's important to have people in your life who understand this need. When my children were young, it was so hard to ask for help in this effort; I remember telling them through a locked door, "Mommy needs alone time." I want to create art in so many forms and I want to be free to do that whenever I please, but I’m still stuck in this mindset that I have to have a secure job and that me longing for something else is lazy and irresponsible and I tried so hard to walk away from my idealistic dreams but lately I’ve been feeling like I want to break societal norms and this video was such a refreshing look into my life and how I can successfully conquer who I am and use it to live the life I have always wanted. Thank you so much for this video, it found me at the best time.

An INFP-T here. I'm 30 and just switched jobs, currently on my 8th one. With every job I feel like my hope of 'finding my place' strips away just a little more and I become cautious and even cinical. However my heart so strongly burns with passion to live and not to settle for mediocrity. But then all my explorations tells me (and of course others, because how can I forget what people think of me) that I can't commit, therefore I'm damaged or wrong. Thank you for your video, which ignited self-esteem and belief that I might just be fine and good enough😊

I would say, it’s ok to not have one obvious passion/ thing you want to do for a living. At the end of high school I felt like everyone knew what they wanted to do but me. It made me extremely depressed and fed suicidal ideation. You don’t need to decide what you want to be, just follow things that interest you and your path will lay down before you.

@@FruityHachi Exactly, and THIS is why my original comment was career advice that I would've given my younger self. (Per the Title of the video) In the past I've encountered backlash, opposition and smear campaigns but in my younger days & due to my naivete...I didn't know WHY at the time. All I knew was that I was doing a good job. I didn't realize that my work was outperforming my coworkers...and sometimes my own supervisor. So the goal of my original comment was to provide insight to younger INFP's who may find themselves in similar situations and not understand WHY this was happening to them. But if you feel that you have additional career advice as to HOW to address these types of situations on the job for younger INFP's, then feel free to share that advice.

I'm a 27 year old INFP-T and my life was filled with overthinking, anxiety and self-doubt. I am currently trying to write my master's thesis (please don't feel bad about procrastinating for days or weeks I procrastinated and wasted a whole semester due to the psychological effects of the pandemics) but I really don't have a plan what job to pursue afterwards since I don't feel the connection to my studies anymore as I had in the beginnings. I am also doubting myself and my abilities because I did not really gain practical experiences like working or volunteering. I had many part-time jobs but nothing that could help me for my CV. That's why I always think I am under-qualified and noone would even hire me or if they do they would notice soon that I am not skilled enough to do that job. Doing something that has to do with arts would be my dream but my problem is I don't know how to execute and realize this dream. But seeing theses comments by other INFP-Ts is very refreshing and I hope that we can all strive for the better and lead a fulfilling life which alligns with our values and dreams. Wishing everyone here all the best

I feel like a lot of us INFPS struggle with excessive daydreaming/maladaptive daydreaming. And our parents or family want to force us into medicine, science, or law but our true passion lies with the arts like writing, reading, music, or other forms of arts. Like we want to make a difference in the world, we want to influence it in a major way. We don't just want to waste away our lives with a mediocre job and a mediocre life we want the BEST out of life, we want to live a EXTRAODINOARY life, and we want to live life to the FULLEST. But we also struggle with laziness, unmotivated, procrastination, meeting deadlines, and doing things at the very last minute. We were also called the "gifted child" as we were growing up but later entered high school/middle school/college and realized we have no fucking clue on how to apply ourselves, manage our time, deal with stress, or study properly. A lot of us also have anxiety and depression and constantly doubt ourselves, and feel like we're never doing enough.

I have known that I test as an INFP for a very long time, and found that I was an INFP-T but still do not quite understand the "T". I write that as an intro to the only statement I am compelled to share: Of all the information that I have read and heard since the 70s, this one has left me no doubt about the fact that I am indeed INFP-T. I fit examples from public school in the 50s until today as I listened to you talk. From my refusal to turn in homework until I finally attended university in the seventies to evidence of my habits this day. I will add that no amount of advice would have had effect on me until sometime in the 80s when I finally realized something was wrong, but did not know how to ask for help, and still don't. Before then, I would have (and did) consider all such advice as excuses and quackery. That means that I was well into my thirties before I began realizing that I wasn't actually a lazy know nothing that could never catch on, despite my high GPA in college.

I'd start with reframing the experience you're having. You've had an opportunity to explore and eliminate what's not working. The next step will be to dig a little deeper and see what about those opportunities did not work for you. That will provide you a framework of what to avoid going forward. So start there. I've heard someone say it's not going around in circles but it's going upwards in spirals. Each next step in building off the ones before it.

The part that trips most people up is the illusion of having ONE job they think they'll do forever so they feel the pressure of "they better choose wisely". If you're a creative, intuitive, idea person, chances are you'll have several and possibly diverse paths. So when you are choosing, choose one you think you'd want to start with and know you will most likely explore other options down the road.

I'm 35, and work in accounting right now. I somehow managed to get the position without any college degree, only internal recommendation since I was in another area of our company prior. I was so thankful to be able to switch to this department, but feel like I'm just not living up to where I should be. I procrastinate continually, I don't think I'm up to par, and I feel like a fake just barely making it all the time. It seems as though I could get fired at any moment, though my logic tells me that's an extreme and unwarranted thought. I worry that I got this opportunity to be in the department, but that I'll end up hating it because it's not even close to any of the creative jobs I would love to actually be doing, but don't have the confidence or talent to pursue. Someone stuck their neck out for me to get this new position, and I've been working here for half a year and feel my chest getting heavier. I don't want to let the person down if I switch jobs someday. They thought they were getting me in the door for a forever career. I just don't know where I want to be, and how to even get there. I had a recent opportunity to potentially become a tattoo artist apprentice, I just needed to submit a portfolio. I didn't have one put together, but I could have cobbled something to present within a couple of days. But I didn't. It's been two weeks and I still haven't moved to help myself. I work as a kennel assistant for the local animal control shelter and have for the past three years since I graduated high school. I am rather thankful that I have a job that is very interesting, and while it has a rather consistent schedule, you never know exactly what you're going to deal with that day, so I have yet to become bored with it. When I face struggles at work, it's typically concerning people: either we have had a busy day and I'm overwhelmed and get no time to recharge; or there were rather mean people who are just extremely rude and I'm just feeding off that negative energy; or maybe I'm under the impression one of my coworkers or supervisors is upset with me because I was probably reading too much into their tone. Thankfully, the lines of communication are very open when it comes to the rest of the staff members (especially my supervisors), and after I expressed the anxiety and judgement I was feeling, I was reassured that they didn't mean it like that. So whenever I'm having a rough time and think they are upset with me, I just repeat their assuring words from prior conversations to ease my worries.

Be on the lookout for when I open the doors again in spring to joining the program, if that would be of help to you.

I'm INFP-T and I spent years trying to succeed in so many different career paths and never feeling fulfilled. I know everyone says this is not a career or a goal to aspire to but now I am a housewife and I feel happy and purposeful, and raising my kids and my home is what I always wanted to do with my life. People say it's wasted potential because I did so well in school but I don't think it's a waste if it's what makes me happy. My husband is ISFJ-A and I feel like our personalities match up perfectly and we compliment each other well, and learning about personality types really helped us connect even more

I know exactly what you are describing here. I was a stay at home mom with my youngest until she was about 3 years old and loved it. And people used to ask me the same questions. Living in a society that derives our sense of value from what we have or do, is really difficult for many to understand when others don't measure things in the same way. I'm glad you have found contentment within yourself. That's usually the hardest part and you're there already.

Just took the personality test earlier today and I gotta say that this video has actually helped me realize some things about who I am and how I maybe shouldn't be too hard on myself. It's probably going to take a while until I'm fully able to not be so hard on myself, especially when it comes making art. I will legitimately lose sleep over the smallest mistakes that most people tell me they didn't even notice. Realistically, I should be proud of my accomplishments this past year like improving my drawing skills, finding my art style, losing a ton of weight, etc. However every step I take towards improving never feels like it's enough. In my mind, everything I do sucks and I'm hoping to eventually change that outlook.

Yes acknowledging achievements and progress is so important or otherwise we lose focus of how much progress we are making.

I'm finding myself checking out all these videos about INFP-T (that which I am), to feel better about myself, or to understand what's going on, or find some help. I'm completely lost at the moment. I turned 25 a month ago, I graduated in a Translation degree at university, yet I REALLY DON'T feel like doing anything close to translation. I dropped out of a Masters degree in literature that was depressing me at the highest. I have all these dreams and aspirations and ambitions, but I have zero motivation to do anything. I want to try to get my head into acting, but I just stay in my room not doing anything. I feel like there’s a lot of things I could do and I am capable of doing. I have this ideal version of myself in my head that I know I can be if I just tried. But I don’t try. I just can't discipline myself and I'm wasting my time. Thank you for the video, I thought it was well put together, but I'm not even sure if I can incorporate advices and help at the moment.

This is such a huge help! I just graduated college for engineering and have been at my new job for about a year. When I was in school I actually loved engineering (I think most INFP's would think of it as being way too technical to interest them). But in school, assignments vary a lot and I was able to pursue personal projects I was passionate about on my own timeline. Like you said Inspiration, Execution, Rest. I landed a great job at a big company but I felt like all my passion for engineering vanished. Now I realize the job is just a perfect storm of bad aspects for an INFP-T: very time sensitive, very beauracratic. The negative self talk especially can be a real struggle in that environment. I felt like I was going crazy for struggling so much, now it makes sense! I am incredibly lucky to have a great supervisor who's been very supportive since I'm new and still learning. I'm going to stay at this job to save up, because long term I think you're right that self-employment is the main option that will work for me in the end. Thanks again, this really helped a lot

Yes, most of the time the misalignment is with the work environment and not the type of job. I'm glad you found something you're passionate about and you can now work towards doing working the craft in a way that aligns with you best.

This video and the comment section feels like a big hug for me which i desperately need right now . Seeing these comments made me feel that I'm finally understood and I'm not alone who's like this. I'm 23 yrs old , graduated with a good degree but barely . I've never accomplished anything, i always procrastinate and telling myself whatever i do won't be good anyways so I just don't do it . I kept doing this for 5 years, doubting and being hard on myself till the point i lost all the confidence I have left. I lack patience and consistency. I always start doing things then get frustrated early on and just give up , cause I end up daydreaming about the end result and don't consider the work I have to put . Like when I first started losing weight and showed really good results, I gave up midway and went back to the start point . When I see people who are gifted and talented, I wish I can be like them without acknowledging their dedication and hard work they put in . The thing she said about being hard on yourself and negative self talk is so true to me , cause i always see the bad in me , I don't know how to express myself or thoughts in a healthy way. From when I was young , all I do is day dreaming about my life and imagine things .but since I started working and meeting different people, I realized that I live in a bubble out of this world. Right now I work 2 jobs , having social anxiety , everything overwhelmes me till the point I cry everyday. I feel that I'm lost, confused, useless and everyone around me seems to have it all while I'm being inferior to them. And i can't get out of this cycle. Yesterday i cried to my mother for an hour and didn't know what to tell her ! I just wish someone to tell me that I'm okay and that it gets better .

Everything resonated indeed =D. The neccessarity for rest and acknowledgment for self evolvement is something I been seeing the last 2 years. I am 28 years old now. One of the struggles I think we INFP-T has is self doubt.

Thank you so much for sharing this, I'm 21 now and I'm starting on my journey to get where I want in my career. Although I'm still at the beginning, the most important advice I'd tell my younger self is to NEVER do 2 jobs, because you NEED TIME TO RELAX. I can't stress this enough.

Hi, once again...this video nailed all the problems I face as a twenty year old. Super relatable. Thank you for the insight. It feels like I have a person to share my thoughts. When u said about people not understanding why you could only have two clients, I could only do two clients max as an aromatherapist and some days I would run out at the end of my shift feeling trapped. I felt like a freak, didn't stay working there long... I put my energy in my 20's and 30's into being the best mum I could, felt overwhelmed at how much I felt I had to fix, felt I should also have been working and home educating, also had a partner dealing with mental health issues, I'm now 40 and having to tell myself it's not that you didn't work and have failed at self employment, you have done your best in your career as a mum and supportive partner and now you need to find your way to support you, your success, your creativity and learn how to thrive just being you....

Oh you nailed every single point! I'm turning 32 soon and I'm just too hard on myself. I always feel lazy and feel like I'm not doing enough, while since age 17 I'm working the whole day, now I have two jobs + I'm studying + still doing Chores at home (when I'm not too tried for this) and still I constantly have the feeling I'm not doing enough. We really should not be so hard on ourselfs!

We really shouldn't. I used to feel the same until I started tracking my day and logging in all that I did to then realize I put in a lot of hours. I provided myself proof I wasn't lazy 😆

I need this! Thank you so much. I'm 18 and an Infp-t. I'm really struggling right now. I don't know anymore what to do with my life. It feels like i killed my own self. I used to dream big but now things has changed. I'm just 16 when i lost my mom and things start to change slowly since then. That's the biggest downfall and that i never wanted to happen. But it happened so soon. She was my best friend and she always know what i needed. I still couldn't think of any reason why she had to leave. Since then my life keeps falling apart. Right now, i've found my people but because of college i have to be far away, and it just feels the same with my mom. It feels like a big part of me is being taken away again. And it really really aches my heart. I want to know why everything has to be like this. Uuuuhhh i think i overshared, sorry i got carried away. Btw, thank you to your channel Ms Dory Linda! How i wish i can afford to have a talk with a mental health professional just like you, i really need it that's why i'm here. I think i'll come back here often. Thank you so much!💖
