This informative film made for hot rod fans explains the process involved in preparing and entering a car show, but at times comes across as an ethnographic account of the "nomadic tribe of hotrodders".
The truly amazing thing is that Dode Martin, who is prominently featured in this film, is still actively building cars, and has a current NHRA Driver's License. Dode is a WWII vet, and saw action at The Battle of the Bulge.
Look, you don't have to fabricate tall tales in order to gain acceptance amongst your peers. We like you just the way you are. So enough with the BS already. lol
great to see a quick clip of the Ram Rod (later known as the High And Mighty) 1949 Plymouth Buisness coupe with a Hemi. the Ramchargers (a group of Chysler engineers) 1st car. the 1st car to ever have a tunnel ram (which the ramchargers invented).
Hasn't drag racing changed since then! The dragster driver wasn't even wearing gloves! Dragsters being built in a small suburban workshop (then) compared to the big $$$ race team headquarters of today!
2022 what do you think they're doing now same thing. Percentage of people are just trash. Walk around the drag strip after the drags are over and everybody's gone look what's on the ground
