To plug the V4 Trickier tube you use a whole regular Q-Tip and just push it in past the end. Then if you want it out you just push it out from the back with another Q-Tip and you back to normal. We have 2 V4 and 2 Ingenuity because the V4 over trickles the larger cylinder powders.
I have a v4, the small trickler tube still has huge issues. People on the forums are having to do all sorts of modifications to make it dispense stick powder smoothly. I'm kind of considering going back to my v3 and using the ingenuity trickler instead.
As someone who has a Super Trickler and is frustrated with it, would the AT v4 plus Ingenuity Precision be an upgrade? I just want set it and forget it. I would get the AT v3 but I can't find them anywhere. Does the AT v4 plus IP work as well as the v3 plus IP combo?
The v3 combo honestly is the best as that’s what he designed it for but it does work well on the V4 as well. I will say, however that just recently there was a big update to the V4 software on its own, which has it running far better than it used to.
When used on a v4 yes o would say that’s true however Adam has made some really great updates to the software since I made this video and to be fair the ingenuity was never really made for the V4 so for most people it’s probably money you don’t need to spend.
@@FClassJohn oh ok I ordered one and I was using 3 charge masters. I shooting prs and reloaded quite a bit and want it to run as quickly and efficiently as possible. I am hoping it will run about as fast. Now I can throw 30.1 gr of varget in 10 seconds ave on 100 rounds. Idk if that is do able or not.
Ok John, as someone that has a V3 and a V4 on order what am I looking to gain in either.....I thought the V4+was meant to be self contained and not needing a trickier......I’m confused.
Like I said, the Ingenuity Precision Trickler was primarily built for the v1-3 systems and gained them a lot of speed, accuracy and consistency. With a v4 it is a totally different beast and this trickler isn't nearly a necessary. That being said there are going to be people to who may want to add onto it and this allows them.
@@FClassJohn Thanks John, if I’m reading you correctly your saying it increases the precision consistency of the V3 beyond the OEM trickler? Are some people looking to it for the V4 to tinker or does it offer an advantage above the V4 small tube feed? Thank you.
@@rvrski1 yeah it helps both the speed and consistency of the version three but on a version four it’s not quite the same improvement. It’s more of a nice to have on a version four and not a must have like it is on a V2 or V3.
Was hoping this would give me an option to dispense pistol powder, but it looks like I'll have to use my V4 for that, and then pair this up with my V3 for rifle...
The Ingenuity Precision trickler does have plates for ball powders but you'd have to email AutoTrickler to see if the v3 or v4 is capable of flake powders if that's what you're trying to use.
@@FClassJohn Thanks John - is CFE Pistol a ball powder? Looks like there are small balls and flakes in the powder - does that automatically disqualify this type of powder from dispensers like the V3/V4 and the Ingenuity?
@@pa6552 I don't use CFE but I think it's more like a flattened ball powder and closer to a flake. I'm not sure how well it would work in the IP Trickler but you could reach out to him and ask because he's constantly making improvements and new plates for different powders.
Why would you want to put that on the v4 ? The v4 does everything itself, your just making it more complicated for tye sake of being more complicated .
There are people who don't like the small trickler aspect and prefer a disk system. That's all. It was designed for the V3 but there will be people who want it for the v4 so I wanted to show how it could work. That's all.
@FClassJohn disk or no disk there is no reason for it unless your unit is flawed , the 2 i have are both single kernel accurate when properly tuned/calibrated. But I don't use ball powders maybe you are .
