@@KiltBill2 I think the pub scene is the best of the movie. Any scene with Christoph Waltz is great. The Stiglitz montage was entertaining. The briefing scene with Fassbender and Myers was interesting too.

Fun fact about Christoph Waltz: His television career had basically somewhat fizzled out before this film, and at the same time Tarantino and his producer were about to scrap the film because they could not find the right Hans Landa...a charismatic, linguistic genius who could speak multiple languages, with both a playful side and a sense of sickening dread at the same time. They were going to give up on the film because of how important the character was to the entire film, and at the last minute, Waltz came into audition. They calmly thanked him for coming, and then happily freaked out when he left he the audition because they knew they “had their movie back.” Waltz went in to win 2 Best Supporting Actor Oscars with Tarantino, and his career has obviously skyrocketed since...deservedly🙂 Glad you all enjoyed the film! I hope you do Django Unchained and Kill Bill as well! (Just saw you posted Kill Bill Vol. 1 after I wrote this!😁)

I know you guys usually watch what people vote on, but in the same way you marathoned DC, and Marvel movies I think you should just watch all of Quentin Tarantino's movies. They're all really really good, and fall under the category of the type of movie you said you wanted to watch without your mom.

@@bbash578 I know they are. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see a Tarantino binge as well, he's my favorite director. But I have to disagree with that latter part, all his movies are very violent. Even the latest one is pretty graphic at the end.

I was so sad when she died, was really hoping she got a happy ending after everything she went through. And yeah, violence is one thing, but those scalping scenes are uncomfortably graphic.

I was fine watching scalping here than the crazy shit in Once Upon.. Somehow he made it more violent there, but in a bad way.

Why do you assume they didnt recognize him just because they didnt talk about him? They have to talk about every single actor that's in the movie? And are you unaware this is only 10 minutes of their reaction? They very well could have recognized him but just didnt include it in the 10 minutes.

@@kevincos4450 Are people incapable of not recognizing actors? They tend to discuss key actors after the movie and didn't mention Fassbender. Combined w/ the fact that they didn't include a moment in this video to show that they did recognize him, my assumption is perfectly reasonable especially since I already labeled it as such. It'd be like criticizing someone for having questions about a theatrical cut of a movie by saying "Are you unaware that there's an extended cut that answers all those things?". Don't know why you're taking that confrontational tone w/ me given that I didn't even say anything negative.

Multiple reasons for that. Despite Meyers being Canadian his parents are liverpudlians and he himself has duel citizenship, Canada and Britian. So his accent is very mulched practiced and both natural. Fassbender is half German and Half Irish raised in Ireland by a German family so his English accent of course will have some errors in it.

Fun fact, when Kruger gets strangled Tarantino didn't feel like it looked real enough. So with her permission, he actually strangled her for real for a few seconds to take the right shot and her face is actually her being strangled. It's actually Tarantino's hands that you see around her neck. Creepy but such a nice shot!

Michael Fassbender is half German, half Irish, born in one country but raised in another (I forget which). If you want to hear his Irish accent try 'Hunger' from 2008 but be careful, it's really hard to watch. The blonde German actress is played by Diane Kruger, she's German but speaks French and English fluently in a variety of accents. She got into the royal Ballet School in London but had to quit when she injured her leg. Then she went to France to be a model and now she's an actress. She was a personal friend of Lagerfeld.

Tarantino's films equals extreme violence. Have you all watched and react to Tarantino's latest movie - Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. It also stars Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio. Pitt in Glorious Bastards and Leonardo in Django Unchained. This Tarantino's 9th movie before his 10th and final movie according to his plans to retire from directing. I think that he would continue to produce movies.

The restaurant scene is my absolute favorite. Landa definitely knows who she is. That's why he ordered her milk to drink. Remember, he asked for a glass of milk when he killed her family. On top of that he ordered her strudel and cream, which aren't kosher. He wanted to see if she would eat it.

Notice how in the beginning when Landa is talking to the Milk Farmer, he tells him to go over the nicknames the German people have given him. And when he calls him "The Jew Hunter" Landa takes pride in the nickname. But at the end of the film, when he's taking to Pitt and Novak. They call him that same nickname and he acts like he despises the nickname. Genius writing and character arc. Love this film...

I LOVE how they're always switching from German to English. Like when they're in the Bar and the SS Soldier who's having a beer behind the wall makes himself known. They're all speaking German the entire time. But after they all realize that the jig is up, Michael Fassbender switches to English and asks if he minds if he takes a drink. The SS Soldier just says "By all means." In English. It's very subtle but I love it so much...

fun fact: the man Brad Pitt mentions he's related to when he's addressing Basterds, Jim Bridger, is depicted in Leo DiCaprio's movie The Revenant. he's one of the main characters.

I love this Movie! I always watch the Original English Audio except for the First Time! But in the German Dub they changed Fassbenders German" he really spoke it himself" but it was just too obvious he's not German! This one may be worth signing up on Patreon for one Month. Honestly Christoph Waltz had deserved an Oscar for his role of Hans Landa. Very rare seen such a great acting and presence in a movie. He perfectly acted as the very charismatic, highly educated but icecold killer type of Nazi.

The genius of the character Hans Landa, its that by letting enough Shoshanas go, the chances that one would get a chance to get Hitler increases. It's why he let her go at the beginning, let her go in the resteraunt, OK'd the venue, OK'd the explosives and had an out ready to go. The whole story is his plot to escape the Nazis. Tarantino is a genius.

Recommendation: Django Unchained. Tip: The German first to get scalped, in the ditch, where they introduce Stieglitz, IS Tarantino. He stars in EVERY ONE of his films. The German Jew hunter (Lando) actor, actually speaks 4 languages. English, German, French and Italian. He is also in Django unchained.

The genius of the film, and Landa in particular, is that its possible that each time he let one live, like Shoshana, they could be highly driven for revenge. When he let's her go at lunch and OK'ed the venue... It's as if he planned the entire thing.

It's my honest belief that Christoph Waltz is the greatest living actor for this film alone. Hans Landa is, at the same time, one of the most human and inhuman characters I've ever seen portrayed.

You should watch Paul Thomas Anderson movies. Best ones are Magnolia, The Master, Punch-Drunk Love, There Will Be Blood and Boogie Nights

Christoph Waltz won an Oscar for his performance in this movie and also won an Oscar for Django Unchained which i hope is the next Tarantino movie you gals will react to. Then hopefully you will go through QT´s whole movie catalog.

Fun not so fun fact, Christoph Waltz wasnt willing to do the strangle scene with Diane Kruger. He didnt like that, so instead the hands you see around her neck is Quentin's hands and on top of that, he went and strangled her for real to have the best reaction. Diane agreed to that.

I thoroughly enjoyed Christoph Waltz as Landa, he played that part brilliantly. He is also great in Django Unchained (you have to watch that one as well). I liked Mike Myers as British Gen. Ed Fenech. It was a nice little role, similar in scope to the one he played as the record exec in Bohemian Rhapsody.
