Great rundown. But I'm still a bit confused. So in some sense, you essentially compete with InGrooves, Orchard, and AWAL, right? They do marketing (albeit the entire catalog), and you do marketing but song by song? We distribute through CDBaby but I've never heard you speak about them. We've distributed our entire catalog through them (40 plus songs) and have been satisfied with the relatively easy process. But what am I missing...do you not like them as a distributor or is there a problem with them?...they seem to be one of the bigger services out there. Thanks, Jasmine Tea

CD Baby doesn't have unlimited plans like Tunecore and Distrokid do. Their split functionality is also not up to par with other services. In a sense, you could say we compete with Orchard or AWAL, but labels often get promotion and marketing from third party services, so we aren't direct competitors to them (yet).

What is the difference between choosing Pay to distribute distributors like Tunecore and Signed distributors like Orchard? And also infact orchard takes so much of the percentage why would someone go for the orchard or awal over tunecore

each of these distributors have their own platforms for accessing this data, you should be able to see the detailed analytics and back-end data through their respective dashboards

My label operates their own digital distribution but integrates with third-party delivery license so we dont rely on a partner distributor at all

@@anthonymosquea Yea, Our distribution is In-House. We never and won’t use another distributor for our releases. We communicate directly with each DSP like Spotify and Apple Music

@@anthonymosquea for sure, It’s pretty much expensive and time consuming but worth it in the last because we are not only distributing our own music we are able to help other independent artist get their music and videos. I am very proud of myself and my team to make this possible. I recommend not trying to do it until you have the right people and funds to do so.

They provide the service of getting your music on platforms worldwide, but they don't typically take ownership of your music.

Yes. Orchard doesn't take your master catalogue and decided to take revenue in two option 1. Regular distribution with royalty share 15%-20% per overall sales 2. UnitedMaster with 100% royalty goes to your pocket and connected with VEVO, but with prepaid
