Bro when explaining this stuff, saying statements like “build projects on top of a software company”…. makes no sense to us bro. “Make an nft ON TOP of a crypto currency”….bro we don’t know what this even means. Can you plz explain in simpler terms for us slower. What do you mean, “make an nft on ethereum”….? Isn’t ethereum just the currency but something like open sea the actual marketplace. Youre saying make the nft on polygon?
We're referring to the blockchain network where the NFT is created and stored. Ethereum and Polygon are like different cities where you can build your digital assets (NFTs), with Ethereum being the more popular but often more expensive option, and Polygon offering faster and cheaper transactions. OpenSea is a marketplace where you can buy or sell NFTs from any blockchain. So, creating an NFT on Ethereum or Polygon means choosing which network to use as the foundation for your digital asset.
If I created a song, wrote they lyrics and melody, but got someone to make an exclusive beat for me with all the right to me. Do I need to add them to the copyright?
If you created the song, wrote the lyrics and melody, and have exclusive rights to the beat, you generally do not need to add the beat maker to the copyright registration. But it's a good idea to document and have written agreements outlining the rights and contributions of everyone involved in the creation process to avoid any potential disputes in the future.
@OmariMC_ appreciate the clarity. I have all the contracts and agreements written out just like you said. The guy I spoke to at the copyright office was throwing me off a bit. But all the research and people I've spoken to are telling me the same thing you are. Thanks for another point of view.
Well there are affordable beats on Beatstars, but a music production agency can offer added value through personalized service, high-quality production, and industry connections.
in 2018, Spotify acquired a minority stake in DistroKid, but DistroKid remains an independent company, and Spotify does not have a controlling interest in it.
Everyone has their own way of discovering new music! Pre-save campaigns just make it easier for fans to support their favorite artists and stay updated with new releases. But discovering music organically is great too!
Hey ! Plz tell that if i am uploading original karaoke of the song with my own vocals so in that case will distributor allow me the license or not. Plz answer my question 😢🙏
If you're uploading a cover song with your own vocals and original karaoke track, you will still need to obtain the proper licenses. Most distributors require you to secure a mechanical license for the underlying composition of the song.
each of these distributors have their own platforms for accessing this data, you should be able to see the detailed analytics and back-end data through their respective dashboards
@@OmariMC_ Just an update. I’ve just received work notice, ATL bound. This will; boost my financial position and security, back into my career. I’m Walking; through the Open Door 🚪 of opportunity.
AI itself is a interesting tool, most definitely. But i feel like it should stay out of artistry, artistry is about the individuals creation and creativity, but with AI all that gets thrown out of the window. Really loses all meaning imo
Audious does have potential, but from a users perspective a lot of the music sounds the same. Just my opinion, I believe they need to focus on setting up signers of artist from local areas and incentivize those managers that are signing new artists. They should then devote a playlist to educate the managers on how they can grow their digital label for bringing new artist to the community. If they can ever put that into place, what they have could be limitless. 🎉
Yeah Audius does have a lot of potential, and diversifying the music on the platform by focusing on local artists and incentivizing managers could really help
I actually didn't know this. Thank you for the info. Btw. The music was a bit too loud so I couldn't hear you as well as I expected. Subtitles helped, though.
If you're registering copyright for someone else, ensure you have their authorization, gather necessary documentation, provide accurate information, handle the registration fee if needed, and maintain clear communication throughout the process.
Could it be that Mexico costs about 4 times as much because there are more people (about 3 times as many), and in addition, the average income in Mexico is about 10 TIMES that of Argentina. So my guess is this is purely financially based - that ads in Mexico, generate a lot more revenue than ads in Argentina But, I am not an expert in marketing and advertising - it does seem to me that this is the way the market would work though The size of Mexico’s market is about 30 times that of Agentina
It's a complex interplay of factors that influence these pricing structures, and you're right that it's largely financially driven. Understanding these dynamics can help artists and creators make more informed decisions about where to focus their promotional efforts.
Sony has significant resources and reach which can benefit an artist's exposure and revenue, it's also important for artists to ensure their catalog is managed in a way that aligns with their vision and interests. Let's just hope Tony Parker made the best decision for his music!
Thanks for making this video. So, I just registered to have an account and when logging in it says my password isn't valid - and I JUST CREATED IT. Is it truly this antiquated? I used Firefox. Can't I just download the Form SR, and scan it when filled out and submit it online with an MP3 of my musical collection?
Sometimes there can be browser compatibility issues like trying a different browser like Chrome or clearing your cache might help. As for using Form SR, yes you can download, fill out, and scan it but the online registration process is typically faster and more efficient.
Targeting your own city is definitely important, but for even better results, consider expanding your reach to the whole country. This broader approach can help you gain more traction and increase your chances of being discovered by a larger audience.
It is the world up side down. The artist is held responsible for what listeners and others are doing on Spotify. If Spotify has issues with bots and they can identify them then why not block the bot instead of the artist?
Unfortunately, the current system can sometimes unfairly penalize artists. This is why it's crucial to stay informed about the policies of distribution platforms, and to advocate for more artist-friendly solutions.
The $65 fee typically applies per song when registering your music for copyright. If you're looking to copyright an entire album, you would need to pay the fee for each individual song within that album.
