Fun fact: This particular FD is extra special not just because of the likeness of Keisuke’s RX7 from Initial D but because it was actually fully built by the man who designed the very car for the anime. It’s a 1:1 recreation using only authentic parts from the anime fully built by Amemiya himself 😈
@@RoninProjektssome rotary guys think that premixing oil into the gasoline helps lubrication and performance. This is just a myth, the wankle rotary has oil inlets next to the E shaft that make premixing redundant. However my SA FB still requires regular oil refills if I drive it a lot so I see where they are coming from :/
@@pierceswan87 thank you for the clarification! I was initially thinking he was talking about my sound design audio mix lmao I’m not entirely sure what the owner of this rx7 does but I know the car came fully fueled before filming so the gas station scene in the video isn’t actually “real.” If you notice he never actually pulls on the lever to release any gas. I visually hide the pump clicking with a crash zoom and sound designed the fuel pumping and clicking to give the illusion it was a real fuel stop. So if it did need a premix it more than likely already had one. Considering Evan (owner) is a genuine enthusiast he definitely would’ve taken care of that prior to filming so no Dorito chips were harmed in the making of this film :)
I wish I got to experience it growing up was always so confused if it was a movie or a show or a comic but my friend got me into the anime last year finally and I loved it!
@@ezven0 dude right?? That’d be so sick haha I had an opportunity to work on something with him earlier this year but unfortunately I got gate kept so hard lmao I know I’ll get a shot like that again soon but it would’ve been really cool to show him my Initial D remakes before posting them
@@RoninProjektsYESS.. I just know from seeing the consistency of your quality content would reach the whole world at some point. Keep doing what you’re doing and you’re more than good to go. Mark my words brotha, you can do this.
Thank you!! Although hard to call it a replica cuz the original designer of the car for the anime was the one who built it so it’s as genuine as it can get 🔥
This was just ear and eye candy for me. The music, the rotary, the revving, the shifting, the turbo, the shots, and ofc, the Rx-7. This was an amazing video
This is insane dude… I quite literally can’t find the words to describe how incredible this film is. The sound design alone is a masterpiece. You simply do not miss…
DUDE YESSS!!! This is exactly the kind of content i need on my suggested 😭🙌🏼 this is fantastic and your color grading and camera work is PHENOMENAL. please continue making these initial d style videos 🔥
I get your style of framing and editing and don't change it. It's refreshing and feels unique. New subscriber and you will blow up...cause this was dope and well thought out. Watched it a few times and bruh...the subtle angles and sound design...you put in the work. Well done!!
Holy hell that is well made! The car, the cinematography, the sound design, everything! Man i hope this was fun to work on cause i would've been ecstatic seeing how it came out. Bravo!
Car had a full tank before shooting. The intro scene was just for show and I sound designed the sound of gas flowing and pump clicking for the sake of the video. No rotary’s were harmed in the making :)
@@RoninProjekts thats amazing to hear, also, i have a ultra wide monitor, so the whole video was a perfect fit with the perfect music with the perfect EVERYTHING, you honestly killed it and this is the type of cinematic videos i have in mind to make i just dont have the crew/equipment to take rollers like that
Honestly, I would let certain shots linger a little longer. You're not trying to hide anything in the cuts. Bouncing around does add a bit of dynamism and engagement and attention grabbing, but when you've gone through the effort and bankroll to bring Keisuke's FD into our reality, bask in it a bit more. Savor the cool thing you did. That's my feeling anyway. I'm so totally in love with rotaries though that seeing this has inspired me to go down to the garage and spend some time with my FD.
I get it but my filmmaking approach is to come from a more immersive/driving perspective. I want you, the viewer, to feel like you’re the one banging the gears and tearing up the road. I’ve driven a lot of cars and I’ve driven a lot of cars fast and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen a video from inside or outside the car and I’m left so disappointed because it just never feels the same way when you watch it back. So my approach is to try and give that feeling to the audience because when I drive I’m in my head feeling like a movie star turning the wheel and gripping the road so i want you to feel the same way I feel when these cars are being driven spiritedly. I could incorporate more moments of reflection but if it isn’t organic to the narrative I’m trying to create I don’t wanna include it just to include it.
Dang these assetto corsa cinematics are getting good! In all seriousness, might I suggest you add "live action" to the title? It did look like something straight out of a blender cinematic in the thumbnail, and even some scenes haha.
Thanks dude!! I definitely thought about it initially but I didn’t want the title to look too cluttered and I figured the vlog I released would answer if it was real or not haha
Maybe if I make enough someone else do a compilation of my vids cuz my brain would explode trying to come up with an hour long entertaining sequence 😭😭
The fact that you got this car tuned and designed by the man who designed the FD in initial D is insane. Basically you got the real life original, Bro don't ever sell that car, keep it in the family ect. Thats a 1 for 1 gem if what you said is true.
A killer car, deserves a killer video. And you sir have delivered that perfectly! This was carried out WAY too good! I adore this video to the very core, thanks for creating a master piece
Outstanding video mate!!!!! Initially, in the first image before opening the video, I thought it was a video of the Assetto Corsa. the FD is impeccable!!!!
Would you ever come to Australia 😂 when my FD is back on the road I’d love something similar. Other people should take notes, sounds and angles of the video are 11/10.
Haha I feel that but I have a very limited time to film and get the necessary shots to keep the video fun and exciting. Could the video be longer? Sure, but in my opinion I don’t think I could really pace out something that doesn’t feel like it’s dragging in certain parts with the amount of footage I had. Something I would love to work in into the future but that would require more time and a bigger budget. Definitely the goal for the future!
@@Flying_fisher no problem man! I made a vlog too that shows the whole filming process and you can see more details of his build if you wanna take the time :)
@@RoninProjekts Will do. Loving the Instagram content as well. Still waiting to see if a video comes out of your Atlanta posts since I live in that area.
