A more burning question is why did the manga and anime writers of Initial D choose to ruin a nice relationship by making everything go wrong? Same with all other potential romantic couples in this series. This makes me wonder if there are any other anime series just like Initial D that involves heavy car use and romantic relationships that actually END HAPPY without breakups.
what's wrong in that? The portrayal of Natsuki atleast, was very realistic, which is not very easily seen in media. How a person is being manipulated by her groomer, and simultaneously how she is being a manipulator of another guy(s) until she suddenly catches feelings for one of them(and even then continues to manipulate him so that he forgives her) Takumi-Natsuki arc also has a lot of thematic significance and common irl anecdotes of the young adult life, like the non-permanance of high school relationships, letting go of the past, leaving behind your comfort zone to accept a greater challenge in the wider world, letting go of relationships from holding you back from your dreams etc. In the end, it's a racing IP, it's already inherently non-interesting to like 70% of the demographic who don't have any remote interest in cars, to engage the wider population they also need to include some drama, and I don't think one relationship with the same two people and an eventual happy ending, is dramatic enough.
Atleast Takumi Dates Mika Uehara Then They both decide to get married It is told in MF ghost that Takumi marries a golfer from Saitama and the only golfer from Saitama we saw was mika in Initial D so it's obvious Takumi Married Mika
@Invocatione Edo Tensei same, stages 1 and 2 hit a good balance between the races and the relationships between the characters, but stage 3 and onward is just really focused on racing and at that point it becomes less exciting.
@@naomimizushima1609 Mika is actually pretty cool she loves golf and she's a sweet person who will slap anyone who harms her friends (it's not brought up it just happens). She and Takumi have great chemistry. Their relationship was one of the best parts of fifth stage. Also in MF Ghost, Mika, and Takumi are married and are also retired professionals.
So? She redeemed herself in Stage 3, if you didn't watch anything beyond Stage 1 and 2 - do your homework before trying to post anyhting. Fucking clown.
