@@DagurasuSk no he only raced Keisuke so he could go on a date with Mogi. If it wasn't for Bunta's deal with Takumi, Takumi would have never bothered racing Keisuke.
Also, w/out him witnessing Mogi and sugar daddy, He wouldn't trigger Kyoichi Sudo and get over about losing. That anger sparked Takumi in such a way made him leveled up a step further.
@@DagurasuSk Yeah he'll still accept Sudo. But, as a human being, the anger made him push through to Sudo right ahead without even thinking about any factors. And as frustration perceives him, it made him blew up the Ae86 sooner. Yeah the 86 is old, but w/out Youichi, Bunta and Ryosuke's consent, the 86 wouldn't have died recklessly. It's just life. We encounter bullshits everyday, but it would make us better anyways after getting over it. The point is, Mogi is one of the many lessons Takumi encountered which is important in the series -- Which made the whole series. So the author can put a Dinosaur in the series which will help Takumi a better person. That's acceptable. Cuz in real life, We wouldn't know whether a real Spagetti Monster will attack us or not, will we ever get to defeat it or take over us?
@@DagurasuSk #2 & #3 happened first, yes that's obvious. But he was calm, confused, but calm. At the same time he was really thinking of trying out other touge aside Akina. Not, until Mogi made him UNSTABLE. In short, Mogi triggered Takumi to do it on the spot, recklessly and uninformed.

Mogi was there, she was a problem, but how did he overcome it? That's the problem and what Takumi made us understand what he is. That's why I said, doesn't matter if the author put a Dinosaur in it. It's part of their life, at least their universe. It's a bullshit stain on their life and they should over come it. That's the point, and how Mogi was included in the series. The writer, director and producers aren't dumb enough to not include Mogi. They may not include Mogi, but they will still include something, like a Dinosaur or someone dying, some bullshit to make Takumi be triggered, if the author wants the same direction as Initial D as it is. This means that Takumi never had any racing career whatsoever, Initial D ceases to exist, the AE86 ended up being yet another cheap junk corolla that anyone can buy, and of course, we'll probably never see the FT86/GT86 released. One interesting timeline actually.
Not really, Tsuchiya’s success with the AE86 made the car really popular at the time, it wouldn’t have become as overrated as it is right now if Initial D wasn’t a thing, true, because it attracted weebs that don’t know anything about cars and assume it’s the best thing ever (and as the current owner of one of those I can say it’s not), but it would have had the same popularity as, let’s say, the 240sx if not more
In this alternate universe, Itsuki is not a lonely driver anymore. Itsuki borrows money from natsuki to buy a red/black two tone AE86 levin. Itsuki becomes a racing legend and the Levin AE86 is now more popular
No joke, the original scene is one of the few scenes in a show that makes me kinda choked up. Mogi is fr one of the best written characters in the show, I’ll stand by that.
Mogi is pretty much a standard, tropey anime girl for the entire first season. I agree she really grows into her own character in Stage 2 and 3 but cmon man in First Stage she's as plastic and fake as anime characters can be. Dumb hot bimbo who falls for the clueless protagonist. Its a hyper-common pitfall and ofc Initial D isn't impervious to it but it still sucks that Mogi and Takumi's arc starts in such a sloppy way.
I knew it! I never really liked her from the start. Whenever they have scenes together, I gladly just skip. Knowing that she wasn't what really thought, I am glad he left her. He deserved better.
Why is she interested in Takumi? Miki was a creepy perv who treats her like a plaything and the Mercedes guy old fart was just a wallet to her why is she after Takumi she clearly knows he wouldn't ever be interested in her after finding out about what she was like.
