There's a video on RU-vid of the whole race, and someone commented that the 86 is racing in a class higher than the Civic, so both of them were 1st place of their respective class during the race and are not really competing with one another, that's why the 86 is always faster especially in the straight, so the fact that the Civic can keep up and even do overtakes is amazing.
Nope. Shingo wouldn't be able to catch up and momentarily overtake a faster car.the 86,in that race was apparently actually faster than the Honda. The Honda kept up with the drivers skill ironically.
Matt Vang i would say that the 86 has a smarter driver while The EG was better i felt like he had too much mistakes in the end there and always over turning during those corners thats why he and the 86 bumped bumpers
Civic driver got real close to the inside and outside of the turns. His line was superior to the 86. 86 literally won because more power. The guy in the Honda did a mad overtake somewhere else beforehand.

The civic seems faster in the corners but slower on the straights, im attributing that to the weight of the nads on that civic driver, jumps the end of the curb and is on the wall witb the yaris still moving over and dosent let up. Fucking hell
Jordan Cox is THE absolute legend from that series. I'm happy for him that he moved into touring cars and whatnot, but it's just not as exciting as these races.
If anyone wants to know the name of the circuit, it's called Adelaide. It used to have an F1 grade license, so legends like Ayrton Senna used to race around here in the 80's

People clearly havent watched the whole Initial D series (which you should). Whenever there is a Civic and and 86 battling they always say that Shingo is the Civic but they dont know that there are two other drivers who are WAY better than Shingo which is Daiki and Tomuyaki from the Initial D fourth stage. So this is not a Shingo vs Takumi fight but a Tomuyaki Tachi/Daiki Ninomiya vs Fujiwara Takumi.
I think I watched this series a while ago. the EG and the Levin 86 were leagues above the other cars. the 86 was a straight line beast but the EG was a handling monster

@@Joshua_N-A they reliable to a point , depending on if you going to have street car or race car ect Will need to rebuild engine with after market performance parts , modify and upgrade everything , tune after market performance ecu to help reliability and optimal performance when racing and boosting continuously ,
