That's so true... I love my dog :) she's an adult Shar Pei, but she's also VERY aggressive, territorial of her surroundings, especially the house, and very protective of me lol but anyway... I'm a big time realist. I take most things in life at face value for what they really are. When people tell me "When you hit rock bottom, you can only go up from there" which I personally think is a crappy analogy, my response to that is usually this (keep in mind I'm not the type of person to settle for mediocrity, I'm not saying I dislike average or lower middle class people, it's just not acceptable to me in my life) So my response usually is "Who knows how deep someone's rock bottom is? It may be deeper than yours. Just because it was easy for you to climb up from your rock bottom to the top doesnt mean it's the same or just as easy for someone else. Everyone has different limits and different ways of handling a difficult situation. Not to mention whatever it was that happened to them that made them reach their rock bottom could be horrifying or even traumatizing. Yes it's true you can only go up, but some people can never get off the bottom at all, and some people like myself aren't satisfied with climbing just a few feet from the bottom, you're still closer to the bottom than you are to the top, so falling back down to someone else's rock bottom can happen very easily to them because they're still just a couple feet above the bottom, and their top could still be miles and miles up and nowhere near there" You've got one life, make it count. I'm not going to my grave without leaving my mark in the world that everyone will always remember me for, even if it's for something horrible. At least I'll be remembered and not just another statistic who died of old age like most people do then tossed 6 feet under. Some people are just fine with mediocrity and thats okay, I don't judge them or dislike them at all, but if you're capable of reaching the stars and wasting your true potential during your time on this planet, then as Pink Floyd would say, "All in all, you're just another brick in the wall". No matter what I have to do to achieve something great and always remembered forever not just by my family and friends but people to hopefully inspire across the world, then I'm not going to be just another brick in the wall, after I'm gone I'm gonna be the foundation holding all those bricks together. Like I said, by ANY means necessary! :)

good choice, i recommend you keep staying away from them, they're way too good to be true, trust me; i recently ended my very long and severe 7 year long heroin addiction, i had it under control for the majority of my addiction, but tolerance develops and then the dose that would keep you well at first barely helped at all, when i ended it i was up at 2 grams a day, thankfully i could buy a lot for less money, i've never suffered any injuries, infections, abcesses, etc since i practiced harm reduction and rotated my injection sites, i also had a home with access to food, a bed, water, and everything else you need to survive, it also helped that needle exchanges were available so i had access to clean supplies which in turn drastcally reduces the chances of injury and/or infection

drugs are good when used right and tested to make sure it is what it is, the worst drug is the legal ones alcohol and tobacco!

I’ve known Michael for years, he was always begging in town as a kid, he is a nice boy. He had a terrible upbringing. Used to see him scoring heroin for his mother when he was about 12-13. Haven’t seen him for a couple of years now but I hope he’s getting better.

I know feel terrible for him. My brother had a heroin addiction & my mother did everything to keep him away from it, and then you have Michael's mum is giving it to him at 12 years of age. Hopefully he will get clean, it isnt easy but it can be done.

But society indoctrinates you to get in the habit of expecting little from life, except for monetary servility, the confiscation of time, family expectations & an insidious prohibition to further education. It forces many to seek happiness in artificial ways. Further more, he believes that in the future, we will use drugs to enhance our state of mind to further our understanding of reality, & applied thinking. Not all drugs. Least of all Alcohol. But once they control all drugs, take all the addictive element out of them, & design them for specific occurrences such as loss, pain, or celebration, anyone who wants an artificial high shall be given it for the period they require. But in a better society, people won't need Drugs to replace reality. If you have an enquiring mind, watch "The Choice is Ours 2016". It is a huge wake up call.

No, he’s alive. I just met the guy today, he’s living out on the streets in Swansea. He’s suffering from bowel cancer at the moment, has plans to get treatment soon.

I would be shocked if he was still alive. Crack addiction is the most powerful addiction in the world. Body is dying from infections from opiates or opiate suppressed immune system, and the kidneys just can't take it. I gurantee that the nearest big city to you has people like him all over the place. Go do something nice for them

Miss Red Umbrella, I seem too agree with you on this observation, I too was a Heroin addict for 18yrs, & yes I too lived ( & survived) with all the trimmings that heroin addiction can bring to a person. Homelessness, living in squats (abandoned houses) that I cleaned & maintained, I remember there was a toilet out the back that did not flush due to water not being connected yet it was without a doubt that each & everytime myself or my partner went to the toilet we ALWAYS filled a full bucket of water to use to flush toilet, I'm a firm beliver that in any situation any one can always keep themselves 'hygenic & clean' despite being homeless I took pride in making myself look & appear as if I was not someone who was looked upon as a homeless junkie, I washed myself in countless MacDonalds restrooms brushing my teeth, washing my hair in the basin it is possible. Yet I have been witness to many places that were absolutely abhorrently filthy, people simply having no bother whatsoever at presenting themselves as 'presentable', yes I do wonder if it was due to my fortunate chance of having that 'middle class' upbringing, so already I had instilled in me the importance of presenting oneself as 'presentable' whether or not underneath the exterior that was the case or not. Apperances can be oh so decieving.

When I used to live in an area where there were a high number of users, I remember waking up each morning and looking outside, stomach in my mouth, hoping my car had not been broken into. These addicts can go overdose themselves with my blessing.
