There are so many stories, where some brave hero decides to give their life to save the day. And because of their sacrifice, the good guys win, the survivors all cheer. And everybody lives happily ever after. But the hero, never gets to see that ending. They'll never know if their sacrifice actually made a difference. They'll never know if the day was really saved. And in the end, they just have to have faith. Ain't that a bitch.

Woop Woop I'm not the only Titanfall fan here

This reminds me of a titan AI from the first Titanfall, when choosing a titan AI their was one that would create a bond with their pilots. Instead of being cold and calculated, it converses with it's pilot and would often greet you in a friendly manner when entering the cockpit. When Leaving the cockpit it would wish luck and ask for your safe return to the cockpit. In the game's lore this was done to keep pilots from abandoning their titans when they were about to explode. The AI basically convinced they pilot to fight till the death with their titans. If you think about it maybe that's why BT had a mix of being cold and calculated and caring for the pilot. Because if the titan was cold and calculated the pilot would find it easy to replace and ditch it when the titan was a lost cause, if they pilot became attached to their titan and died with it more pilots would have to be recruited. The Militia most likely built the AI when building the Buddy Titans (BT) to keep pilots alive as well as keeping cost down when building titans. Unlike the IMC who have unlimited resources. That is most likely the reason the BT's have the authority to eject a pilot when it see that the only option left. Great vid.

In case anybody played Titanfall 2 and didn't watch all the credits here's this. BT is still alive, after the credits the pilots (forgot his name) helmet flashes in Morse code and it basically says something along the line of "I am here" because earlier on in the campaign BT uploaded his ai to the pilots helmet.

This needs a part 2. Reminds me of when me and a few school friends made Armoured Core fan fiction during break. And we came up with the Cores having A.I. and personality. We each made our own A.I. lore with quirks and would design a Core for them. Made multiplayer very tense as no one wanted their A.I. to die. So we would allow surrender.

As much as I love this and want to hear a sequel, I feel that if this situation were to happen, the AI would disable or turn itself of since it was obviously becoming a hindrance to the Captains escape. That way the Captain would have no reason to stay.

(4 titans come from the sky, but their differnt. Hunterclass Titan's as each titan boots up and readies. Tone aks) Tone: What needs of assistance is required. Captain? Me: I got a Mech that's damaged badly, as you can see. Tone: hm.... field repair? Me: too much damage. Northstar: What about extracting the A.I Core? Me: got locked out. Legion: maybe how about taking the mech to base? Me: good idea but how? Tone: my Missiles could help but would need alot for them to transform to viable VTOL Thrusters. Northstar: I can assist by using mine. Scorch: me and legion can guide them by pushing or pulling them along when their active. Me: ay..... I'll place the beacon on her, becareful. She's Sentiant... Tone: ..... like.. us? Me: yep. Just like ya'll, alright. Me: Tone, Northstar use 'yer cores go have Missiles ready, Tone you can control them and transform them into VTOL engines, Scorch- Legion you'll carry her when they're active. As we're pushing her ralong the beacon will be active, as it's moving base can send out units. Wee already got weaponry from all of ya'll so we're good on defences. Let's do this...
