Since 2002, Marine Corps veteran Staff Sergeant Tim Chambers has stood for up to three hours in a salute at Washington, D.C.'s Rolling Thunder event, honoring fallen soldiers and veterans. The biking movement has a lot of veterans and indeed the patch clubs started out from disgruntled vets. It is an honour to support others that have fought, I cannot imagine vet bikers doing anything else but showing love and compassion...love to the Tim and to the bikers that stepped in, may the love of God be with you all.

Having rode in more than 10 Rolling Thunder rides I always felt immense pride in seeing him as we crossed Memorial Bridge. Unfortunately the people that would organize the event have had to stop due to various reasons. This event was held over Memorial weekend and many people used to confuse the holiday with Veterans Day. To those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country I say THANK YOU and may you rest in peace 🇺🇸

That's what Marines do was stationed at Marine Barracks 8th & I Sts SE Washington DC not only did we wear blue/whites during Parade Season but many full honor funerals at Arlington Cemetery for Fallen or Deceased Marines 81-85 Semper Fi to all that served in the U S Marine Corps did years 1981-85

As a German, I've never served in the military, so I don't really feel what you call patriotism. But now, with the war in Ukraine, I'm starting to understand what patriotism means when I see that even German soldiers are going to the Ukrainian Legion to protect people and the country, as well as freedom in Europe. I'm grateful for every soldier who puts their life on the line to protect ours. Germany could do with a bit more patriotism and should be proud of their soldiers and show respect for those who lost their lives on all the different missions we were involved in.

For those that don't know. The Blues we wear are three layers on the torso with the outer layer being tight and and being half Wool/Poly. Which when in air conditioning gets very hot. And being tight already makes saluting hard. This Marine is the embodiment of what we stand for. Semper Fidelis!

The biker community is one of the most hardcore patriotic communities there is. They have zero tolerance for disrespect towards the country and maximum respect for the military. Don't forget they all basically started as returning vets trying to readjust to civilian life.

At Disney land at a ride, there was unbelievably 'no line', except for some "dressed" bikers. We being tough from Philadelphia asked if we could join them, and take advantage of this rare opportunity. They said " Sure", and were very cordial and nice, and we all had a great laugh, as everyone else thought them a danger. It was a terrific moment of MUTUAL trust and congeniality . BEST WISHES.

A great soldier, unfortunately here in the UK there is a great deal of left wing people that despise serving soldiers (and that includes politicians). My father was a Scot’s guard, my grandfather was killed in WW2 and my Great Grandad was in the Boer War and was wounded at Gallipoli. I have the upmost respect for anyone how has served their country, as should we all. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧

As an outsider (European) I often see their sacrifices taken advantage of . Soldiers risk their life in war, guard hazardous materials affecting their health. Police and firefighters risked their lives and health during 9/11. All of them had health treatment postponed or withheld, sometimes until it was too late health wise or until their finances ran out. Veterans living in tents? This should be a question, not a reality. They are justified to ask JFKs words the other way round: ask what your country can do for you, because they’ve done more than the fair share beforehand. If you love your country …….. your country should love you back.

When watching a video like this, few people understand that there are a lot of veterans now in those biker communities, looking for a similar sense of brotherhood that can only be found in the military. Similar, but different.🙌🏼
