When he says, "which wins, id, or ego?," he's referring to our internal battle between instinct and reasoning. The id refers to someone's instincts, chaotic impulses, what someone wants right now that will pleasure them. The ego refers to someone's reality, reasoning, what they should do: what would be the best course of action to obtain something overall, not just immediately. In Scarecrow's mirror match, his biggest threat is himself. He'll find soon enough which mindset comes out on top. Should he instinctively go for a big damaging combo? Or should he work his "opponent" toward a corner to insure space control? I mean yeah, id and ego are terms created by Freud, and he came up with a lot of other bullshit in his time, but these concepts are some of his most enduring ideas. TL;DR: I fucking hate tldr's, learn how to skim read over shit if you're not interested in the content kids.
