Mitchell Stucky Almost certain that is Travis Willingham who is actually the voice of Knuckles. He also voice Gorilla Grodd and Atrocitus in this game.
I love this character's dialogue so much, they really captured the spirit of the greatest generation in his voicelines and the age of comics Jay was conceived in.
"Don't let the funny costume fool you" "Are you referring to mine or yours?" "Could go either way really." Stephen Amell is cool and all, but THIS is the Green Arrow I know and love.
No biting comments, no cruel jeers, no petty showboating. Just a wholesome, moral man with a heart of gold and a spirit of platinum. Mr. Garrick is a true superhero; something this universe is sorely lacking.
It's the whole old Americana vibe that he gives off that just makes me love the bastard! So polite and just....he's old school and that is so refreshing in a game of snark and brooding
i wish there we more characters like him in the game. even his costume is just classic ripped right from the comics everyone else in Injustice is so overly designed and realistic. wish everyone just had a classic comic accurat alt skin
Jay Garrick's face actually resembles that of his voice actor, Travis Willingham. I love how he's written! He's so Golden Age--demanding respect from younger heroes, disappointed in villains' evil ways. And he reminds Barry of the old "with power comes responsibility" moral. Also, Barry, STOP TRYING TO F*CK THE TIMELINE.
Isn't that the truth! Heck, the RED HOOD seems like a Boy Scout in comparison to some of the Injustice universe's former heroes. (I'm looking at you, Wonder Woman...)
Oh, Come Kingdom is the perfect choice! Both lost Lois, but only one remained sane, only one took the right option, only one return to be a beacon of hope.
Surprised Robot KC Superman: "I know what you've lost." Injustice Superman: "She'd be alive if I ended the Joker sooner!" KC Superman: "And horrified that you willingly took that step." OR KC Superman: "Safety at the cost of freedom just makes you another tyrant." Injustice Superman:"Then why come to my Earth?" KC Superman: "To give the people a hero they can look up to again!"
Or they could do Normal Superman from our Earth. Here are some lines; Good Clark: "It's sad really?" Bad Clark: "What's that?" Good Clark: "I was hoping you'd be redeemed."
i have absolutely no idea who that is. my dc knowledge is pretty much just stuff related to Batman, Green Arrow, Flash (mostly Barry), The lantern corps and a little tiny bit of Superman and Wonder Woman. everything else just goes over my head completely haha.
Jay: I have great respect for the Green Lanterns. Hal: No one can sling a ring like me. Jay: For the corps not you Game: Hal Jordan has received 100% burn damage...
Hope it's not just me, but it feels sort of refreshing to see a good old-fashioned, morally upright superhero in game full of brooding anti heroes and villains haha
@@IndestructibleWill-sc1cu no it can't. Because all these characters are closer to modern day superheroes and Jay Garrick is from real life 1940s where people acted and thinked entirely differently on justice and morals
ROSPoetry1 In our childhood we always want to be like Jay, Spiderman, or Superman. But than you look at the world you prefer being Red Hood, Punisher, or Rorschach.
Being Punisher, Red Hood, etc is a choice that makes you closer and relateable to the bad guys. Being Spider-man, Superman, Jay Garrick, etc makes you the ideal to nurture our world to brighter odds and help dark souls find light. Yeah the world isn't black and white, but it's not all gray either. It's all 3 where there's tough choices for the right reasons, or circumstances that weigh situations, etc. But there's good to aspire to and bad to overcome. So yeah, let's be heroes like Jay Garrick
Honestly, I like him because he's old fashioned. He's not edgy like a lot of today's heroes and he actively looks for the best in people. In short, he's what everyone likes about Superman.
"Without limits, we become villains." -Jay Garrick, 2017 "You either die a hero... or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain." -Harvey Dent, 2008 Those quotes sum up the universe of Injustice in a nutshell.
Honestly, I like Jay in this game. It's so refreshing to see a superhero who fights crime and evil because he's a good guy. No ulterior motives or underlying tone.
He is so pure. He treats everyone with kindness and as equals, and genuinely wants the best for everyone. Hell, this version is better than the original character he's portraying
Jay Garrick: Well, I know a guy who sells the best pants in town. Simmons and Levi's, on the corner of Fifth and Broadway. They close at 5 during the week. Me: Thanks!
legitimately love Jay as the Flash. You know he's the real deal when the Spectre once called him '...a man who deserves God's respect.' And that's the spirit of vengeance saying that. Testament to a great character
Geez. I love Jay so much. I know which premiere skin I'm getting first! His Justice driven heroic attitude just sets him apart from the rest of the cast and honestly it's a great breath of fresh air imma get good as Flash just to play as Jay.
Lennie Binale Alan Scott might be a premier skin and I would love Wildcat in a game or even as a Bane premier skin though he's more of a boxer than a grappler
I don't read much comics unfortunately. I did read DC's "Kingdom Come." There are some Golden Age era superheros but I didn't paid much attention. There where younger generations of superheroes didn't hold their value.
Jay Garrick sounds like the most generic heroic goody two shoes hero i've ever heard. But its a breath of fresh air with all some of the other heros being doom and gloom, besides green arrow and captain cold
Usually, it's Superman who's the goody-two-shoes hero, but since this is Injustice and the Regime was HIS doing, someone else is needed to fill in that gap, and no one could fill it quite as well as Jay Garrick does.
I really love how the Jay Garrick Skin is COMPLETELY identical to Alex Ross's drawing of him. Alex Ross is one of my favorite DC Comics artists, and Kingdom Come was nothing but eye candy on every page. upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/d/d6/Garrick_ross.jpg
I love Jay Garrick in the game. His dialogue sounds like something out of Batman '66 with good natured he is as a superhero. (I can picture Jay saying: "Always look both ways before crossing the street!")
As cheesy as all the dialogue is, it's really refreshing to have a classic character that talks like a genuinely good guy among the more grim and gritty cast.
JGR Jakks well he has been in the newer timelines before, even on the flash tv show he has helped flash and wally and also in the cartoon series young justice and batman the brave and the bold
Jay: "You Enjoy Hurting People?" Eobard: "I Take Pride In A Job Well Done." Jay: "Find A New Line Of Work, Friend." Eobard: "To Me You're Just A Relic." Jay: "I'm Proud To Be An Original." Eobard: "Pride Comes Before A Fall." Jay: "Jay Garrick, Here To Help." Eobard: "You Can't Change My Future, It's Set." Jay: "If You'd Let Me, I Could Help You." Dunno If That's All Of Them, I Know I'm Late, But I Hope It Helped
CRAZY THOUGHT, i just thought about it while playing the game, but what if the silhouettes are premier skins, black manta would be an easy one for aquaman since that stage transition shows him hitting with a trident, so it'd be easy for aquaman to replace him in the transition, raiden COULD be for black adam, its not a perfect theory but I think its pretty possible that at least not all the silhouettes are full blown characters
