My thoughts. Lets see how many astrovan fans we have and what they say:) First thanks to R0ckR47 for the early retail copy so no embargo Game was reviewed fully patched up to todays latest patch. Incredibly fun title. Just fun. Has some issues but the game has so many modes and ways to enjoy the content and the gear system has turned out to be actually enjoyable.

Prey is probably the better experience overall, but this will give you way more playtime across all the modes. I'd say get this now and wait for a sale/price drop on Prey.

It was a realistic and accidental death though, I liked the way they did it. Not every superhero has to die in an incredible blaze of glory, and the fallout between Batman and Damian was more than worth killing off Dick IMO.

Im a huge MK fan and waiting for this game has had me nervous that it would be a cash in from the last title. Glad to see all the improvements laid out and it seems right up my wheelhouse. Great review. Still a little concerned about the gear system that was implemented but I suppose i'll figure it out this weekend.

By far, the best review I've seen since the days of G4 TV and Attack of the Show (just showed my age there). Most reviewers spend most of the time counting the money that crappy game developers pay them to say awesome stuff, all the while giving a review that makes you say WTF. But this guy knows how to do a review the right way. I can truly appreciate someone that took the time to give an honest and thorough review. Long story short (too late, I know), you have a new sub with this stellar look at an awesome game. I can say this because I've owned it since day one. I look at reviews for games I own because I want to find out if the reviewer is B.S.in' me and the gaming community. This guy is the real deal. Good job.

It would have been really cool if there was a mode, like the multiverse mode, and similar to the nemesis system in Shadow of Mordor, where you can fight opponents and build a team of geared up super heroes or villians to invade other a.I. or player earths to try to steal loot or territory. Like, the number of earths you've won is your score. Maybe other players can invade you and you can choose to either send out your a.I. controlled heroes to defend or you could lead them yourself. It would be as if you became Braniac and then continued doing what he did. That would have been cool.

This is so good to hear. Injustice: Gods Among Us was great fun and I was worried that this game would not be a full fledged sequel and rather a glorified expansion (see Xenoverse 2). Nonetheless, great review, and you continue to be my personal choice for them!

Have you any training in sound design? You explain the sound portion of the game very well almost as if you're a teacher. Currently studying sound design and I love your reviews they are so in depth for sound. Great stuff looking forward to more in depth reviews.

Anytime I'm on the fence about a game, your reviews are a must-watch for me. My issue with Injustice is that I don't care for Superman's look, and I don't like that he's a villain. He's not just my favorite superhero, he's my favorite character, and that makes those things hard to overlook.

The only problem I have with the story is how they portrayed Dr Fate. It could just be a fanboy in me, but it would have been nice if we got a chapter about Fate and how he convinces Nabu to fight Brainiac. Instead, Nabu became a Brainiac supporter. To put the icing on a cake, Brainiac killed Dr Fate. It just pissed me off

I'm surprised that the level cap is 20, then again I'm used to more full on RPGs when it comes to leveling, and the original didn't have gear or anything like this and I still enjoy it. And Besides Prey, there's not much the game market is offering right now that looks interesting, I mean I was looking forward to Red Dead Redemption 2 but that doesn't come out until fall. So this will probably hold me over.

Chandasouk Lol I am, too. It's not THAT hard. There's a practice mode, where you can practice moves. You can tag moves, which you can pick a move. Then, the button combinations show on-screen and it'll further assist you to learn the moves. I bought the Legendary Edition via PSN. Of course, that version comes with the TMNT. I've gotten addicted to this game. It's the BEST fighting I've played, since Street Fighter II series and Street Fighter Alpha 3.

Yes, ultimate edition is the complete edition. But theres gonna be a "complete edition" sometime this year for around $30 which I will get.

we need a game like this, but for marvel vs dc, and allows you to make your own character. Also make it not only a fighting game in the single player, but a 3rd person fighting game where you take out henchmen in an open world, and when you get to a boss or a big battle, it turns into a side scrolling fighter. That would be such a cool game.

Still wish they didn't kill Shazam in the first game. They also killed my favorite Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner) in the Injustice comics in the lamest way possible.
