Shawnee Longbow That part annoyed the hell outta me honestly, considering DC has even said Shazam is one of very few heroes they have that oculd go toe to toe with Supes on a power basis...and they've had it happen in several shows, movies, and comics, usually with Supes winning due to a general lack of experience on Shazam's part (dude's a kid). Like, really? We couldn't have had some badassery there? Just...execution...? Of one of Superman's fellow DC heavyweights? Yeah, fuck that.
I love how Nether Realm Studios still managed to get Cyborg's voice actor from Teen Titans to fill the role. I watched the shit out of that show years ago. It brought back a wave of nostalgia.
It's shitty ass batman fanboys who are allowed to write the comics who suck. "lets make superman an asshole so batman looks better" I'm so fucking sick of it. You know what would be compelling? Considering that batman has details plans to take down the entire justice league... What if HE went bad? That would be awesome
Yeah, he did if you get philosophical, but if you're rational Superman isn't the one with a fist sized hole in his chest and as such got the better of that exchange.
Thank you Joe for pointing out the part when Supes is blasting cars like he's just practicing his heat vision accuracy, who knows how many casualties that was.
+Alex Del Socorro Gotham is NY (or NJ depending on how you look at it) & NY hasn't had capital punishment since 1963. Though I guess things would be different is there was a bunch of super villains running around New York...
+Alex Del Socorro Sick people are not killed in sane countries. Even fictional places get that. He is sick. Does he do bad things? Yes. But because he is sick. His place is an asylum. not death row.
Ed Boon really is the man when it comes to game design AND keeping in touch with the community. You really get the feeling he loves making video games and it's not all about milking the cash cow as it is with Capcoms Street Fighter or other fighting games -_-.
Yeah true. I just hate how he favourites play station enough to give them extra content and not release it on the xbox one as well. I mean not to mention it was free on the ps4. I'd love to play on my xbox one. Though besides that yeah he's great at making games I'm so pumped for mkx I hope they reveal injustice 2 next year.
Oh yeah btw Supes froze Shazam's mouth (A 10 year old I may add) and then proceeded to choke him as he burns laser vision through hi head... so uh yeah ._.
Why are people blaming Batman for not dealing with the Joker? Its the justice system in the comics that have failed to deal with him. How many times has Batman captured Joker only for Joker to escape the next day? Why hasn't any judge and juror in their right minds gone through an expedited trial to sentence him to die? It's funny cuz that's what happened in one episode of Superman the Animated Series. A villain was strapped in the gas chamber so quickly at the end of the episode. Of course, it's becuz of repeat sales that these comic book villains live time and time again. The villain in the TV episode I mentioned was just an unknown expendable one.
I'll probably get some flak for saying this here, but am I the only one who doesn't really like Superman? I mean, the guy's practically invincible - that is, he's a default win no matter what - and his only weakness is a rare and not-easily-obtained glowing rock? (Lex Luthor's ability to get it be damned) And don't even get me STARTED on that "healing coma" from the comics. Maybe it's just me, but I enjoy the thrill of a hero with mortality. Tends to add to suspense and overcoming obstacles
although I will admit some of this is directed towards his writers - giving him a superpower for every villain he faced gets old fast, and while it was realized at some point, the damage had been done for me.
Kryptonite. Red sun radiation. Magic. Chi. Psionics. Enough force to wear down his reserves of yellow sunlight. Just a few things that has proven to be able to hurt Superman. And the healing coma's just as bad as some of the crap Bruce has pulled. Getting hit with the Omega Beams is supposed to kill you, but it 'just so happened' to send him through time instead? No. Superman is tough, but he's not invincible. And he doesn't get a new superpower for every villain. His power set has been almost completely stable since the late 80s/early 90s.
Like I said, the problem was noticed as far as adding powers. But at the time, the damage was done. And while I do recognize magic can hurt the guy, it's FAR from a weakness unless you can get the drop on him with some "evada kadavra" level spell or the like. And Chi was already thrown out as a weakness - you can check out Death Battle's rundown of Supes if you don't believe me. And kryptonite is crazy hard to get a hold of for most heroes that aren't Batman, so that one takes a back seat. Psionics can be countered depending on the user's skill versus Supes' sheer strength, and he had trained his mind to be near-impervious to mental assaults (also explained by death battle). Now, red sun radiation makes me laugh. Most battles take place on earth, right? And Earth's sun is yellow, ergo, you'd have to teleport him to an entirely different solar system for that "weakness" to be even halfway viable. You know many characters that can do that? Me niether. And my beef isn't with Bruce (I assume you mean Banner). I recognize he has had some stupid stuff in the past, but that has literally nothing to do with DC's golden boy - and that's almost literal if he takes one of his "sun dips" and goes god-mode. Lastly, depleting his reserves? Yeah, that works - if you can keep him tied down on the dark side of a planet for a good half-hour or so. Now, while I respect your right to your own opinion, that doesn't mean I have to agree with it.
Banana Jeff which ten years ago would have been the original retail version. Modern game publishers cut already built content and sell it as doc now. The idea of a real expansion pack only exists with Bethesda. Who wants very badly to just monetize the mod community and stop making expansion packs altogether.
Angry Joe is certainly correct about one glaringly inconsistency:: early in the game, Black Adam picks up cars from out of a traffic jam in order to to toss them at Superman, the "good" Superman. And the Last Son of Krypton just uses his laser-like heat vision to vaporize the on-rushing object .... with the innocent civilians who're driving the car still inside. Naw, the Big Guy would never do that. it was startlingly inconsistent and probably just plain lazy for the writers to have done that. Otherwise, "Injustice, Gods Among Us." is a surprisingly good game.
Lonewolf6565 It's not over-analyzing to insist that a video game production company that's using a licensed character be consistent in their depiction of that character. Superman is our modern culture's equivalent of Prometheus, Samson, Hercules ...i.e: the ideal standard of humanity at its best. He doesn't vaporize innocent humans just to makes things convenient for himself.
Ed Meares Yes he does. Superman was written to be the embodiment of a pure selfless individual but hes also not perfect. Because no one is perfect. Superman occasionally breaking his own rules and struggling with his own "humanity" has been a regular focal point in his lore. Hes not perfect and has a breaking point just like everyone else.
I wasn't talking about the game . out side of the game the only ones that can beat him are dooms day and and batman and that's just with time to plan how
That would actually be amazing, like if Ultraman were to recruit dictator Superman into the Syndicate. If not for the main storyline then at least as DLC.
Superman is a terrible character. He is as weak and as powerful as the story needs him to be, which is what makes Batman so much more likable, because you can relate with him, he's just a mortal man, he has limits, he can die, he can be severely wounded as demonstrated by Bane breaking his spine. Superman sucks.
Batman, relatable? Are you mad? He's a normal human, but that's as far as it goes - he's a billionaire, Olympic level athlete and martial artist, genius in several fields who's a complete emotional cripple and acts infinitely more inhuman than Supes. You could argue that makes him more interesting to read about, and you'd be right, but no way in hell is Batman a relatable figure.
LOL, did you grow up with your own godamn company or owned billions of dollars? No majority of the world GREW UP LIKE SUPERMAN. he got raised normally, school, job, NORMALLY. A man that tries to fit in society which we all try to do as also. So fuck you, you dumbass
I mean... this superman would definitely say something like that, in the first game he's already a full blown dictator so it makes sense. Main universe superman wouldn't but the injustice superman isn't "Superman"
Wait, how can superman just kill Captain Marvel so easy? I mean in many other fights Marvel has wooped supes ass, and in this he didn't even stand a chance...
I gotta say, I really liked that little scene with Angry Joe's shocked reaction to Shazam's end. So sad, like a kid losing his innocence. The shocked look, little head shake, and then he looks down at his superman costume. I know the little bits he puts in are funny, but that was a surprisingly poignant moment. Well done.
and this is why I prefer NetherRealm Studios’ and Bandai Namco’s fighting games, they care more about the story mode just like they care about the game
The comics are different from the game. They aren't a direct adaption, but a prequel to the game. Basically the comic is about the Rise of the Antichrist Superman and his Illuminati Empire, and the fall of the Earth, Apokolips and the Green Lanterns. However, both are excellent in my own opinion. It still sucks to see some of your favourite Superheroes go evil.
It'd be kind of interesting if someone were to do a Marvel/DC crossover sometime (with a combat system similar to the MK series, VS. Capcom series, or the King of Fighters series). I'd like to see Deadpool meet up with The Joker, Iron Man going against Lex Luthor, or Thor and Loki teaming up against the Green Lantern and Sinistro sometime.
03:01 Joe Superman doesn't kill Darkseid (A almost god like being who pushes Superman to homicidal anger) so you can't say that its Batmans fault because he wouldn't kill Joker (A clown who was meant to push Batman into crossing the damn line from hero to monster)
ULTRA GAMER Exactly. An argument may have been made for K gear or somethong but nothing stops Superman from speedblitzing Ezio before kryptonite begins to seriously affect him. Or before Ezio can blink.
Scorpion's Injustice Costume = BADASS! So glad there's an Injustice Scorpion Costume on MKX...just wish I didn't have to all that stuff on the mobile app for it
Void Knight I don't know about that. He's a god but in comics that doesn't usually mean totally unkillable. Especially seeing as several of them died in Final Crisis. Or even in the old JLU show Darkseid dies. Or in Kingdom Come he is dead before the events of the story.
Oh shiet son! The devs got Khary Payton to voice-act as Cyborg in the game? Kick-ass! I watched Teen Titans on Cartoon Network as a kid from 2003-2006 and Khary Payton is the reason why Cyborg was my favorite character! :D
Joe I can't for the life of me understand why you like superman I just find him so dull he's to overpowered his one weakness makes him unable to do a damn thing just he's to grand and deus ex machina for my liking I know the comics have had some great stories just find the whole character dull
Superman isn't supposed to be like batman where most villains he faces posses a physical threat. Superman has more of a psychological dilemma most of the time. I'd say to understand the problems of superman it is mostly directed towards an older audience.
its not just about Clark being overpowered, its about him being a hero, a champion, A Icon! its about childhood, and remembering when you wanted to be like Superman.
The superman-type of hero goes back a long way, back to the times of heroes like Hercules and Samson. In particular he draws from the Jewish literary tradition, as his creators (Joe Shuster and Jerry Siegel) were both Jewish. The Jews have many stories of heroes like King David and Samson, heroes capable of incredible feats whose might was usually given to them by God and were then thrust into the service of the Chosen People. Like those heroes, Superman's powers were given to him by birth (essentially an act of God as he had no control over that) and he found himself thrust into service for the American people by the simple virtue that his morality prevented him from not helping people when it was within his power to do so. As the years have gone by, this sort of hero has become less and less popular, throughout all of fiction. In the past, the Hercules/Samson/god-like individual has become less relevant, as people no longer desire this sort of hero. They were great comforts in the time before things like cars, computers, and public waste disposal, but as technology advances and people in the developed world have to struggle less and less, these types of heroes have started to seem a little quaint. Of course, there's still value in this type of hero, but they are fading from the public consciousness. It's just not to your tastes, and I can respect that. Literature is a product of its time, as are people. I can only hope that with a little shifting of perspective, maybe you'll see in this character what so many other before you have seen.
Dude thats why i like superman.he has superpowers.i cant relate to him.(a good thing).he never boring and hes intresting.plus what he stands for. He comes from an advance race that blowes up.and is sent to earth by his scientiest parents.for a second chance.when on earth.he is raised by ordinary farmers.who hold values that everyone should obey by.with this superman grows up.knowing the more important things in life.and following his(both parents) parents ideals.i like how hes one of the most powerful in the world but the LEAST corrupt.all his gifts and he uses it for humanity.every choice he makes has an impact on earth.he oftens struggles with this(he does have challenges and struggles).not born on earth is more human than anyone.cause hes willing to fight for them. Tbh batman is boring.he has no powers.7 billion people on earth have no powers.BORING. bruce.dead parents.billionare.puts on a suit.fights gang lords and crooks. Nothing intresting there. Batman has done great things with the JL and all but superman is a symbol people can live by. Would you rather live by batman ways? And batman is rich.big house.lots of money.expensive cars.YEAH hes so relatable. Clark didnt live rich. He lived on a farm on a small town.went to school like normal kids.in a way.hes more normal than batman. And i like how clark chooses to still live poorly as possible.but directly but he doesnt care for the higher class life.he could rule the world. But he doesnt. Thats why i like superman.he chooses the best moral and rightgous paths
You know, i always thought about the outdated Names until now. Super-man? Bat-man? (Seriously?) Spider-man? Ant-man? Iron-man? These names are wayyyyy back then.
OK superman is now named Invincible alien who looks like a human that is now on earth saving peeps Batman will be named Bat Humar Ant man will be named Guy who likes ants Iron man will be named Guy who weares a iron suit Spider man will be named Guy who was bitten by a spuder and was named Spuderman
HAHAHAHA joe's face when superman killed shazam ...priceless. lmao I felt the same way i was just thinking in my head "whoa isnt shazam really a lil kid?"
And you think this Superman is BRUTAL. If you saw X-Men Days of Future's Past, the Sentinals ripped someone in half, popped someones head off, THEY were brutal.
Yea they're meant to be brutal killing machines. Superman is the strongest most powerful hero in the universe but wouldn't never choose to kill no one, no matter the circumstances, well in the comics and cartoons anyway, Man Of Steel is a WHOLE other story lol
White Assimilation Thats why we refer to him as BRUTAL in this game. I was refering to the sentinels in the first comment you posted the sentinels are meant to be brutal, thats why theres no surprise there....
***** You're wrong cause if you watch shazam and superman vs black adam you can tell superman isn't the strongest most powerful, superman gets his ass beat my black adam. And brains beat strength any day of the week. Common sense bro.
+ryanthaiable that would be kick ass. but injustice is already so far into the dc continuity. but it'd be great to see henry cavill as a sadistic mislead god. but then (SPOILER) stephen amell would have to meet his end
Funny how this guys say Superman is OP, when Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter (basically Superman with shapeshifting and without the kryptonite weakness) are more OP than him.
***** did you just say that mars is hotter than the Earth? Just say you were high when you typed that or this comment of yours may haunt you for decades as it becomes a meme of stupid shit people say on the internet.
Astrid Parungao Superman is supposed to be way stronger and faster than most of the other heroes and that includes Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter.
Yeah; why does Shazam keep getting killed off in recent years? He's a kid. Oh well; here's hoping that the Shazam film will be actually decent (unlike every DCEU film except Wonder Woman).
[SPOILERS] 2:22 Actually, the trigger to said nuclear device was implanted in Lois by The Joker after her kidnapping following Jimmy Olson's murder. Teh kryptonite-laced fear toxin caused Superman to hallucinate, believing that Lois was Doomsday, and going all rage mode on 'him' because, ironically, he feared he would harm Lois. e punched 'Doomsday' into space, but upon hearing the twin heartbeats of Lois and his unborn child (the same way he had discovered she was pregnant), he realized it was Lois, and at that moment he heard both heart beats stop. The trigger was connected to Lois' heart, so as she died, Metropolis went kaboom. At least, that's how it went down in the alternate universe Injustice takes place in. The Joker just happened to be rigging up a nuke in Metropolis in the mainstream universe, too. Nothing Lois-related or anything.
Aside from the drama and fight scenes; Wonder Woman's robe was my favorite moment; strutting her elegant greek beauty was something out a child's dream :')
I find it funny how OP Superman is nowadays. Like, he is more than a god and actually nobody could ever scratch him. I find that stupid and disgusting. I can hardly believe that he is that mighty but still there would be evil all around. I mean, if you are practically immortal and can do anything you want, why not rid the world of evil in one swipe? Why are there even other Heroes around? In my universe, he is not faster than flash, not stronger than the Hulk, not smarter than Batman, He-Man and Thor are equal to him, the Green Lantern can outmanoveur him. I don't hate Superman, I like him, I just hate the disbalance they create around him. And yes, I know that Kryptonite makes him mortal, but did you ever realize how stupidly he walks into the traps? I mean, if you can see through anything and throw airplanes around, why the fuck you wouldn't smack that Kryptonite into far galaxy from a distance?!
Actually, Superman has really been nerfed in recent years. Especially from the massive amount of power he had right before "Crisis on Infinite Earths". I mean, that Superman could effortlessly juggle planet's if he wanted to. He's still really powerful, but really scaled down from the massive amount of power that he had "Pre-Crisis".
i don't get why everyone thinks that batman could beat superman i know that he carries kryptonite stuff but superman defeated enemies with kryptonite like metallo
William Slattery That's exactly why superman sucks and why he's so boring. He only has one weakness and even when it's used against him he still survives and wins. I like good stories and if you have a basically invincible hero it's not very entertaining. That's one reason why i never really liked superman and am still not a fan no matter how often people say he was the first and is the most important superhero ever.
William Slattery It's because, really, Superman is the most hyped. The thing is, people want the villains to be stronger, and yet for heros to overcome them. But Superman throws that notion out the window, with only Doomsday and Darkseid really proving to be truly difficult opponents for him. It's just...boring really.
I was quite disappointed that not all the Teen Titans were featured...and I don't understand how although Tara Strong (voice of Raven in the cartoon) was voicing Harley Quinn in this game...she doesn't voice Raven. Hell the guy who voiced Cyborg in the cartoon voices Cyborg in Injustice...why couldn't Tara voice Raven? I'm content with Nightwing over Robin but seeing Beast Boy and Starfire would have been nice. I got this game a while ago when it came out...and its very quickly apparent this game tries desperately to make you go out and watch Man of Steel as Superman gets the star treatment here out of everyone else. Just wish the Titans could have gotten some more love...that's all.
jasper daugaard They altered it to make her sound demonic, and because her original Raven voice wouldn't fit this design of Raven since she's supposed to be an adult, as well as Cyborg, who's voice fits both teen and adult, if Raven was designed as a teenager in this game, Tara's original Raven voice would probably be used, thought they'd probably have to do the same with Cyborg. Though it does confuse me that they went with Zatanna's Young Justice voice for this game since she looks like an adult
Agent Stronghammer You clearly cannot distinguish between being a "fan" and being a fanboy. It's like saying someone who just likes chocolate and someone who thinks chocolate is the better than any food ever conceived. Fanboying is extreme an usually an unhealthy appreciation of the art. Idk if you are just young or uneducated but that is how I meant it.
everybody has their opinion tho. if you think one thing is better than other things then thats an opinion. i think whoever uses the word fanboy is fat fuck sitting on his bed tryna act cool online infront of ppl who would hide their kids if they saw him irl
joe i know this vid is old but u NEED to get the dlc version of this, one of my characters from the dlc is scorpion FROM FREAKING MORTAL KOMBAT AND HE LOOKS PRETTY EPIC TOO
just imagine the epic feeling u get after u get to KICK ALL OF THOSE DICK CRIMINAL'S/HERO'S WITH THE AWESOMENES OF SCORPION! AND THE MOST EPIC PART IS WHEN U GET TO THAT METER THING AND THEY R LIKE Joker: "prepear to die!!" Scorpion: "for my family!" ITS JUST SO EPIC!!
If you guys say Superman is "Too boring" because he's "Too powerful that nothing's really a challenge" Then you obviously don't read the comics. Nothing wrong with that, just don't spew of critisism of something you know nothing about. Just admit that you dislike Superman for one reason and one reason only: To jump on the bandwagon. You want to hate something simply because it's popular.
Being sons of immigrants myself just like the creators of superman like Jerry and Joe, I can relate with superman a lot more cause they know how it feels to be in a world where they feel alienated and different for being a immigrant with a different culture, and rising up in the united states to be something great, and superman gives me strength and hope thats my reason for prefering the character over batman plus I think he is a lot cooler but I love them both.just my opinion
+Philip mcgrath Butthurt Batman fanboy? "Immigrants, interesting you can't even spell "write" correctly, and it's not me being a grammarnazi. Quit being a hypocrite this guy just prefers Superman over Batman, it's his opinion. Don't like it? Move on, and who cares? You're commenting on his comment, LOL. Talk about hypocrisy, you Batman fanboys are dense. Look at you, getting worked up over a comment that's just laughable.
@Philip mcgrath yeah was 6 years ago lol its all good man maybe you can see a different perspective to superman that you didnt see that long ago. I mean I used to be a batman fanboy but I feel Superman had always been the hope and forgiveness of humanity. Despite all his powers he is humble. But I get it most people nowadays agree with Lex but I think we miss the point of what makes superman unique. Not as a God or Jesus character he doesnt need a reason he just wants too.
Batman fanboys: some of the most annoying, immature, ignorant trolls on the planet. Guess what? If it hadn't been for Superman, Batman wouldn't even exist. And as for 'overpowered' or 'boring', NO. Superman is anything but. He's a difficult character to write, but when done right he is the first and best of all superheroes. And he's kicked Batman's ass. Repeatedly.
Kartikey Sharma Twice, actually. And both written in non comics by Frank Miller (who hates Superman). Dark Knight Returns being one of them. Every other time has been a victory for Superman.
wow...if superman gets defeated then the writer hate superman...and if supes beat him its legit...you should watch tower and babel too...there are plenty of legit way by which bats can defeat supes....shame considering bats is a mere human and can defeat a god like being....
Kartikey Sharma No, seriously. Read Dark Knight Strikes Again and All Star Batman and Robin, and you'll see just what little respect Miller has for Superman or any other hero except for Batman. Tower of Babel had Batman's plans to disable the League hijacked, but the League still escaped and beat Ra's anyway.
you didn't comprehend that the league didn't recovered by itself...it got outside help. That plan itself shows what batman is capable of...you can't just say that batman's fans are troll because plans like these really show what a mere human can do against these god like creatures.
Well, Flash was RUNNING AROUND THE WORLD and the room was locked up or a cave or something... With seemingly only ONE entrance, if there was one opened at all... I was just like "THIS Finisher makes no sense at all"... Okay? He can't leave the arena or the battle will stop or something... You know what I mean!
Depending on which versions of flash (like green lantern there are more than one) we are talking about (don't recall from playing the game which one it is), some if not most can vibrate so fast they can pass through solid objects =]. Shit, some can time travel and I'm pretty sure in one instance one even out ran death. (LOL). Wally is my personal fave but sorry for the 4 month later post. Just felt like throwing some info you're way.
Am I the only one who rarely played any of the Star Labs missions in the first injustice game. I love both the Injustice and MK game series that Netherrealms are doing and have sunk countless of hours into each of their games, but man, lets just say that I am extremely grateful they changed those mini-games with the Multiverse in Injustice 2!
Injustice 2 should be Marvel vs. DC IMO. I know it likely won't happen because both companies are run by pricks, but I want a DC vs. Marvel fighting game before I die, damn it!
+Mitchx42 not as strong but at least in the same teir. Shazams advantage on superman is his use of magic, which sups has no defense against. take away his magic, no advantage. not to mention Shazam has the tactical ingenuity of a literal child.
Un nombre de usuario shidongongo sabrozongo 9000 Just because you have the intelligence of a god, doesn't mean he knows how to use it properly. even Einstein had to grow and mature.
Un nombre de usuario shidongongo sabrozongo 9000 I do. personally ive always held the opinion that Billy Batson has the greatest POTENTIAL in the DC Multiverse. Just as Anakin Skywalker was the most powerful Force Sensitive in the history of Star Wars canon, doesnt mean that he was the most powerful Force WIELDER. Not by far. But he had the greatest overall potential. Son Gohan is another good example.
