"Who's son are you? Jor-El's or General Zod's?" This line alone really should've made Superman open his eyes a little. The fact that it didn't, really shows that he was far beyond saving at this point.
Look at today. WE are locked down , and some government officials are putting people in jail for going in the ocean for paddle boating. Arresting people who are having a funeral. They say it's for our own good. They say if we don't follow their rules, people will die. My father is stuck in the house for 2 months. He wants out, and his thoughts are , that it's not a life worth living when you are in house arrest.
His regime consisted of: Doomsday Bane Catwoman (Before redemption) Killer Frost Sintestro Lex (Even though he's a mole) Black Adam (I keep forgetting he's a Supervillian) So yea... Wtf Superman...
@@edward113288 finally someone says it. I kinda realized he wasn't a villian in the comics because when Superman saw Lex survived Metropolis, he didn't rage on Lex like he did to all the other villians
He makes a good point, look at Harley's ending. She says that sometimes she feels the urge to go out and kill people, plus she literally is the only person alive responsible for nuking metropolis. You gotta get Superman's hatred for her. I would be crazy too if i saw the person who i considered my best friend shaking hands with a person responsible for nuking my town and killing my wife (all of this after he got angry at me for killing an irreedemable genocidal maniac)
I kinda really hope that if/when they do an Injustice 3 that it culminates in Harley facing Superman and she actually gets through to him and makes him realise what he’s become (i.e exactly what the joker wanted). That to me would just be an incredible way to bring the story to completion.
TheDjbz He’s too far gone to be redeemed. He too blinded by his own self-righteousness and has wallowed in rage for far too long. Such a statement would fall on deaf ears. He’d also probably kill Harley for even saying that to him. That assumes he hadn’t already killed her just for kicks.
To be fair, he was probably a tiny dictator when he was little, too. Always keeping people up at night with his problems, making people wipe his butt because he was too good to do it himself . . . you know what i mean.
Laura Bailey does a stellar job as Kara. You can hear the anguish in her voice as she realizes what her cousin has become. The way she delivers the extremely powerful line of "Who's son are you? Jor- El's or General Zod's?" has layers upon layers of what the character is feeling in that moment. Shock, semi anger, and betrayal. Laura's amazing voice actor and understanding of Kara as a character is just part of the reasons why Supergirl is one of the best characters in the game in my opinion.
@@kakorotskywalker During her fight with Robin IV(?), Kara flies them to the sun as part of her “super move”. This raises another question: how is Damian still alive after that?
sleshstamp want to know something funny, in Young Justice (great show by the way) Batman take care of his kids and train them to fight (of their choosing), when Superman found out about him having a copy that was basically his son, he stright left it to batman
What she didn't even know at this moment was, that Clark also killed a child. I would like to see her reaction (maybe in a third Injustice), when Batman or maybe Flash and Green Lantern, who saw it with their own eyes, told her, how cruel and cowardly he killed Shazam.
@@charliefarmer4365 Superman also had kidnapped Plastic Man's son Plastic Man: What the hell is wrong with you? considering all this started with the death of your kid, I figured you'd have a bit more empathy for-
@@ziephel-6780 WW: Superman is no despot. PM: HE’S LITERALLY SITTING ON A THRONE! *Stretches his arm and points at Superman* WW: It’s a chair. Another comment said that they could practically hear the defeat in WW’s voice during that last line.
@@charliefarmer4365 Injustice Superman is pretty much Ultraman but more pretentious, that has been waiting for any excuse to let himself off the leash. The destruction of Metropolis gave him that excuse. And Injustice Wonder Woman is actually Superwoman pretending that her actions are just, but actually likes causing destruction as much as Joker does, she literally called herself the Goddess of War. She doesn't really want peace and order, that's a lie, and Injustice Batman saw right through her. Injustice Batman is more of an extreme version of his anti-killing ideology. Y'know it'd be interesting to see an evil Batman with a no-killing rule, but it is perverted to the extreme that this Batman will torture his enemies and doesn't give them the mercy of death, he makes his own prison after deciding that Arkham Asylum is incompetent to hold his rogues gallery, he stops believing that his villains would be rehabilitated, and he personally makes them suffer in various ways. Maybe call that evil Batman 'The Warden' Just to prove to DC that just because a character doesn't kill his enemies, doesn't always make them a hero or a good person.
1:55 "Who's son are you? Jor-El's? Or General Zod's?" Ironically, Gods and Monsters Superman, who actually is the son of General Zod is less extreme than this Superman.
Kara's got a point. Even if Harley is a criminal that deserves to die, everybody on earth is in mortal danger at this moment and she's trying to do something about it. Clark and Diana are wasting precious time and allies over a regime that won't matter if Brainiac won.
Emo Edgelord Kylo Ren Worse part is that Superman and his Regime keep blaming Batman for not killing the Joker and Think Batman Spear criminal to keep them safe, but acting like any hero would saving live. They even Revealed his secret Identity to the world that which was a dick move.
Dimension Zone batman is not the judge jury and executioner. That's the people's job, not his. O TV erwise he'd end up as bad as Superman here, who slaughtered quite a bit of heroes just for not agreeing with him
I find it interesting how Superman refers to the people of this planet as "humans" as if he no longer connects with them. If I remember right, Superman does acknowledge that he's an alien and not human, but not to the point that he sees them as some lesser race. Kinda shows how badly he's changed since he went all tyrant on the world.
This is all down to Diana poisoning his mind against humanity. I'd bet that if Bats brought a willing Lois from another Earth to talk Supes down, Diana would see her as a threat and find a way to kill her to further solidify her grip on Clark. She's nefarious.
It’s also down to the joker and Batman’s insurgency, you know.... KILLING most of Superman’s human connections. Pretty much any human who meant something to him, who could have gotten through to him, is dead.
It's really great to see THIS superman trying so hard to justify himself to his only family member left. And I love how he acknowledges that Kara doesn't share his view so he reassured that things aren't what he wanted them to be. Seeing Kara who's obviously disappointed in him, there's a lot of conflict/desperation flickering in his eyes for a moment till soon his ego took over again. He really doesn't want to lose his family anymore.
Considering he lost his family twice, the fact she showed up in the first place likely even made him slightly less extreme for a bit if only because he was so happy seeing family alive, but ofc Harley was mentionned
Homemade Rock Instrumentals BATMAN: Perhaps I did fail you, Clark. But the world needs you as a hero, not a dictator. SUPERMAN: But does the world need you at all? Tell me. Do you bleed? You WILL! SUPERGIRL: NO!
Green Arrow shot Mr. Kent so that fucker had it coming. Shazam should have keep his ignorant mouth shut. Lex Luther is a murderous criminal as well as the Joker. Killing evil killers isn't murder it is doing society a favor.
Roy Logan shazam and billy are the same person. Kill one and you kill the other. And WTF do you mean ''he should have kept his mouth shut''? He was speaking up against a tyrant and said tyrant killed him.
She gave me chills when she said "everywhere i go, people are afraid of this ..." placing her hand on the house of El (a House of Hope). Superman is my favorite hero; but he broke my heart, seeing him change in the Injustice comic; i remember saying to myself "You're Not my Superman," by the end.
The crack about Injustice Superman being Zod's son gets an added layer of fun if you've seen Gods and Monsters, where an actual son of Zod is a _lot_ more heroic than this guy :P.
I do admit Gods and monsters superman is more realistic and has a heart when it shown which implies Lara D.N.A. was the key factor to his more kind way

The look of utter shock and horror on Kara's face when she sees her young cousin has become the very dictator that tried to take over Krypton she fought and fled from years ago. It is sad and heartbreaking that the last her of family is no more.
When they first announced Supergirl as a playable character, I thought "she's gonna be shoehorned into the game cuz the shows so popular", but turns out she became my favorite character in Injustice 2
Joker was wrong. Only someone with a weak will lets one bad day get the best of them. Superman let his fear and despair control him, and he surrounded himself with yes men who encouraged him to give into his emotions. His decline into madness could have been avoided if he were strong enough to come to terms with his loss, but in the end, he took the easy way out and let loose. Every kill made it easier and easier until he no longer felt anything in taking the lives of others. Unlike the Joker, who up until his "one bad day" let the world walk all over him, Superman had the potential to move past it, but slowly gave up hope until all that was left of him was an empty shell.
Doctor Evilface Depending on the bad day, almost all of us would loose hope and change. Not just those with a weak will. Only those who have a ridiculously strong will could have a chance to remain "good".

1:43 This isn't important whatsoever, but I love the attention to detail the animators put into this. Look at how Clark hesitates- he inhales quickly as his eyes cut to the side for a moment and his mouth draws out in annoyance. It's such a small expression that makes the scene look so much more human.
Good and evil can be constant Adam, they are simply not constant for you because the only thing that matters to you is who is willing to pay more to order you around
**tries to leave the fortress** **brings Damien to the sun to try to leave the fortress** **brings Damien back to the fortress so she can recommence trying to leave the fortress**
The house of El is not defined by violence! Killing people is wrong! **proceeds to throw Damien into space then brutally slams him with heatvision back onto Earth in seconds**
"I should leave for Kandaq" "Brainiac hasnt attacked it yet?" Superman was expecting Kandaq to be lost while he is keeping Black Adam busy, he didn't really care
Well frankly considering how long it took to get Superman out, meanwhile Brainiac was already nearby and his first target are pretty much the most valuable part of the planet, Kandaq would probably be amongst the 1st place to be attacked, Black Adam may be evil in Injustice but he cares for his people in that universe so it would be decently prosperous plus magic stuff. Ofc Superman doesnt care, but rationnaly its not exactly that unexpected
@@OmniDan26 So him killing innocents and being cruel isn’t violent? Hmm, sorry, I thought it was. Can you not take things seriously so fucking much? Damn…
Patrick Chen I don't necessarily hate Superman in this game. He is wrong but his argument isn't entirely without merit. Wonder Woman on the other hand is doing her best to win the award for worst organism.
Patrick Chen Lol I guess ppl may hate me for this but I actually loved this what-if version. Don't get me wrong as I always will love their actual truest selfs but I liked how the were in the game.
Patrick Chen Every character in the game has really good reason for choosing to side with Superman or Batman except Wonder Woman. There is no justification for her Character acting like teenage girl who will do any evil thing to please her boyfriend.
Doomsday wasn't designed to kill Supes, although DD still killed Supes. Doomsday would have come to Earth anyways, except there probably would have been no one to kill Doomsday on Earth before things really got out of hand. WTF happened to DD in Injustice 2? Phantom zone won't be able to contain DD forever (the comic version DD broke out of it rather easily).
Supergirl: "but it wasn't just one... How many" Me: "well let's see green arrow, Shazam, lex Luthor, parasite, ganfet, Mogo, Montoya, Hawkman..." Me: "yeah your cousin is kinda an asswhole"
so was I I loved it when she said that she finds power in restraint only relying on her powers when she needs to. That's what makes a good hero it's a pity Superman in the Injustice games doesn't remember that.
sjsharp2007 oh 100% superman betrayed the family, she even said that the house of Zor-El is ruled by fear, and superman even later in the game prefers general Zod as a leader then Jor El
Azaira Gaming Superman betrayed his HOUSE OF EL inheritance since he killed the Joker & then letting that damn Wonder Bitch push & encourage his grief so much!
the scene that tears me the most was the superman ending. you could literally see the horror kara was seeing at the end when she places both hands on her mouth. it was rather....traumatising. to see the only kryptonian left other than her turning into this tyrant. and soon she will be.
nova terra it was a powerful ending to a powerful game. Both ending to this game are great in their own ways. But I think it's obvious everyone would prefer the Batman ending.
V Guyver it definitely creates more potential for newer characters to shine. But in the injustice universe, there's just too much deaths, we hardly get to explore anything that signals peace or hope. Logically, with the entire justice league under superman, there doesnt seem to be a way to stop them unless dc starts adding the multiverse nonsense
It really boils down to the writers. They can totally still make it work and endearing. It really needs to diversify its central plot, or it gets stale. Besides, they already have multiverse nonsense since the first game, and in this one too. No reason they shouldn't do it again in the third title.
Green pills. If you know the story of the first game, that's all you should need to know how that *may* happen (they basically turns anyone superhuman, and overcharge many supers, Supes and those on his league excluded, IIRC). Alternatively, gameplay and story segregation. What happens in the gameplay part of the fight is not what happens in the fight in truth.
*flies Damian to the sun, throws him at an asteroid, shoots him with Lazer eyes, which sends him hurdling back to earth, where he crashes into the ground, and is immediately pummelled by rocks moving at hundreds of miles per hour, crushing every bone in his body, and killing him instantly* ... "Kal should be setting a better example.."
Heh... not really like Harley is only redeemable because she feels sorry about it, even she knows she is guilty since she did Nuke the place with Joker and manipulation aside she did let it happen. Superman is guilty for alot of thing the onlt differance is that he doesnt care as he sees it as necessary. But thats the good thing about Injustice, everyone "good" or "evil" can be redeemed under the right circumstances yet the conflict and state of mind allows it or not at one given time (exept Wonder Woman, ffs even her own island in the comics hated her)
People criticized Batman for recruiting Harley and said he's a hypocrite for saying Superman went too far hiring Bane. However at least Harley knows what she done is wrong and is willing to change for the better unlike Bane, also remember when Superman literally burned down a bridge with a bunch of people on it in the first game? Ha, protection my ass a total wanker
Bayonetta Cereza Ya know in the Injustice ground zero comics, it was revealed that after Superdick blasted the bridge it was HARLEY & HER GANG who saved those people who were on that bridge!
I think what the even more darker was the fact clark let victor zsasz out of his cage interrogate Alfred Pennyworth but in reality did it to make Bruce feel what he felt when someone he loved was taking away
@Alfredo 2027 Technically Ares wasn't helping them. You also have to think about the difference between the Insurgency and the Regime. The Insurgency was a rebelling against Superman's dictatorship. Saving and protecting people from Superman. That means the people who join has that goal. The Regime was killing anyone who was against them good or evil. The villains joined bc they wanted to be allowed to kill whoever they want without suffering consequences.
Considering how Clark tried to destroy Gotham and his own town, it's clear how he doesn't seek protect humanity. What he truly wants is to escape criticism by forcing people to say that's he's right, enhancing his delusion that he''s this "all powerful hero who doesn't make mistakes or fails" instead of facing reality: He's flawed, he made mistake and sometimes can't save everyone, even the woman he loved.
"Don't let Kara escape!" -Damien is the only person to show up to stop her -Supergirl punches a hole into the fortress with Damiens body, flies through, drags Damien into space, around the sun... and then returns to the fortress.
Superman try to push Supergirl to immediately for an answer so she can’t rethink about it, but it obviously backfired since she immediately joined Batman.
In Injustice, even Superman is disgusted with Injustice Superman: "I knew they pull you over eventually, you don't belong here!" "My obligations don't end at the borders of my dimension." "I am this world's savior, I protect it!" "That's what's happening out there, protection?" "Disobedient children will be punished." "Children? We are not gods, we don't decide who lives and who dies!" "The decision is mine! It became mine, when Joker turned me into a weapon of mass destruction!" "I know what you lost." "And you judge me? After I've killed you, I'll bring Lois here, when she sees how I perfected this world, she...." "She would be afraid and disgusted." "She would be alive!" "Lois' death doesn't justify...." "He stole her from me!" "And you stole this planet's freedom! It's time to give it back!" It's seems that Superman didn't learn his lesson that was beaten onto him by our Superman.
I wonder if the next game will take place entirely in the main universe, since this one only took place in the regime universe, and then maybe a 4th injustice game will be another crossover
She is okay, but the only good Supergirl to me is CW's Supergirl portrayed by Melissa Benoist. Only reason i like this one in Injustice is because of Laura Bailey.
I agree. Not only did Superman had lost his pregnant wife Lois and Metropolis, but also these traumatic events gives Diana an edge to manipulate him all so she can keep him to herself. Talk about having lust with powerful beings in the universe.
In all Honesty I still KINDA feel bad for Superman. Not for what he's done today (murdering a essentially defenseless boy is Inexcusable), but because of how he got put into this Scenario. Pummeling your Greatest Enemy into Space, only to find out it was your Pregnant Wife? AND your City gets Nuked? Fucking Rough.
God Saiyan Prodigy Don't forget having your best friend basically put his own morality above your grief. At various points it's implied Batman knows he screwed up assuming Clark wouldn't cross the line and showing him zero sympathy when he did.
@@BHRamsay no not really. Batman did everything. In this timeline, it's not that Batman wants to protect the Joker, it's about stopping Clark on what he's about to do and save him from the darkness.
Indeed, while I can appreciate that Injustice is an Elseworld's tale, it's much less enjoyable for me personally because not only does it hang on everyone in the DC UNIVERSE reacting to some messed up stuff in a spectacularly OOC fashion but it uses some of the more lazy buns tropes to do it. But this is a personal gripe.
@@BHRamsay What to expect of an emotionally stunted child who dresses on a Halloween costume and plays games with people's lives while crying for mommy and daddy, who clings to a very simplistic and outdated worldview and is so isolated in his own ivory tower that he is completely ignorant about how the world actually works?
@@fluidthought42 tbf at that point she had 5 years of life with Batman and co, hiding from death and taking distant care of Shazam behind the scene before his death, she does regret the bad stuff she did too and living once more for chaos and stuff? No thanks her life is already ruined no need to make it worse. Had the Joker reappeared very early on she probably would end up dying because welcome to injustice
Gameplay and story segregation. Some players may use her super to beat Damian. Other may just beat him with love taps. Also the green pill maks him super human enough to be able to survive fighting metas.
ThreeEyedPea The super pill has permanently affected everyone who took it. It's not mentioned because it's assumed to be the reason the fights are even close.
Tristan Pearson actually....each of the fights has a reason they stand a chance if you payed attention....batman could fight superman on 3 accounts due to: red solar grenade that weakens him for a little bit, golden kryptonite knife which also weakens him for abit, kryptonite suit nuff said....the flash got shot in the leg thus slowing him...the only one in the entire story that really made zero sense to me was Damien fighting supergirl.
Yeah! Screw that Outlaw By Nature! He believes that Superman is a hero and Batman is a villain! I mean, if Outlaw By Nature see Superman died in Injustice 3 game, he's gonna complain that Batman is responsible. FUCK YOU OUTLAW BY NATURE!
@@wolfrex2721 Not really if they do it right. This Superman basically turned into Hitler, and it would be a good ending to see him go out as a hero once again than a tyrant.
