Sorry for the absence, but life gets in the way sometimes. But, I'm back, and with a review for the Inkbird IBT 4Xs Wireless meat thermometer.

I was sent this thermometer by Inkbird to give them my honest review. And it turns out, this is a pretty solid wireless thermometer. I have used this exclusively since I received it.
I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good, solid thermometer with a good app with easy to use features.

I have that same one I use it every weekend. Its one of the best out there. 100% happy with it so far 6 months into using it. Its a ripper thermometer.

I agree. It's been flawless for me. The range is kinda meh, but that's Bluetooth for you.

I’m using mine right now. Price point was excellent. I never travel far from my pits so range wasn’t a factor

Is there a separate choice for oven temp probe reading so not to confuse with meat temp?

Good video. I am a newbie doing some research on this and an Oklahoma joe bronco. With your experience would you get the inkbird or would you recommend something else. We mostly smoke shoulders, whole chicken and turkey. Anything would be a big step up from a brinkman that leaks and no temperature monitoring. Thanks and have a good one 👍

I like the Inkbird if I'm cooking more than one thing. If I'm just smoking one large thing, and need to check pit temps as well, I use the Thermopro TP08 that I did another reivew on. They are both great thermometers.

Being new to these types of thermometer for BBQ ing... Usually use my gut skill and my knowledge it's never failed me...lol. I just got the one for Xmas...it came with 2 probes...one wit a pointy obviously sticks into the meat lead. And the other is just a silver bar with no pointy thing to stick in the meat... What is THAT second one for? Different style of thermometer? Any help be greatly appreciated and as stated have never used one of these prior. Plan on doing up a turkey soon and want to know the full potential of my ink bird. Thanks!!

So that second probe will be for measuring the ambient temp in your cooker. It's helpful when you're using a stick burner or charcoal smoker to make sure you're cooking at the right temp.

I go between this one and the Thermopro pretty evenly. I prefer the Thermopro for overnight cooks due to the range.

hello, can i use this device to check the temparture at the chimny of my mass fireplace? the prob's wire will be within the hot space.

Probably not. If you're wanting to check the temp on your fireplace, there will be special thermometers you can get from a hardware store specifically for checking that kind of heat. I have a wood stove and I have a thermometer they sticks right on the stove pipe.
