What is an InkShield?
This shield allows you to connect a HP C6602 inkjet cartridge to your Arduino turning it into a 96dpi print platform. It only uses 5 pins which can be jumper selected to avoid other shields. It is designed with a Arduino Mega footprint but fully supports both the Arduino and the Arduino Mega. It is designed with all through-hole components to make assembly easy even for beginners.

hello Nicholas! Could you please share the information about works of the print head? Is it possible to do full functionality inkjet printer using arduino and connect it to the mechanical parts of some industrial printer?

I'd love to get one of these to build. I'd also mod it to have an optical mouse sensor to the carrier for tracking on a surface. There's times I'd like to print on stuff that won't go in a printer. Might have to experiment with this myself, a portable device would be pretty handy. Hrm.

thanks, duet wifi cards used in 3d printers could be used for higher dpi maybe microtext in miniature books libraries, i suppose it should built an open source high ress printhead

What happened to this? Most of the sites appear to be down related to it? The old kickstsrter is up so apparently it finished? Are the PCB designs still arround anywhere?

@CanFire9 they are at some of the reward levels. There are many options on the Kickstarter. So you should look through them. I have not worked out all the post Kickstarter details. But after the Kickstarter there will likely only be three options: PCB, PCB and components, PCB, components, ink and carrier.
