It's not so much "must avoid" as it is "should minimize". Trims aren't necessarily a bad thing but it adds extra stitch points, and tie offs. If you have ten lines and all ten are end points and trims, that's 80 extra stitches, 60 of which might have been avoided, and 10 trims, 9 of which might have been avoided. It's just.extra work on the machine that if you don't have to do, don't. Tie offs are also a potential point of birdnesting, so the fewer tie offs the less chance of birdnests.

That helped me so much! But now i'm facing the next problem. I import a jpg (simple line scetch) go to fill turn that off. then i have to lines meaning when i put my "fill and stroke" style to dashes all lines appear double. which i dont want. I want just a simple stitched line. any ideas how to solve the problem? :)
