I was Born/Raised in a Catholic Family. I grew up going to Sunday School. Went through all the Classes, and Holy Communion, etc... But it wasn't for me! Growing up, I felt like there was a hole in my Soul. I learned everything that I was taught in the Religion, but that hole still remained there! I then began doing Research, and Studying into various different Religions, until I came across Wicca. Like many other Catholics/Christians, I was Raised to believe that it was Evil/Bad. But I had already been Studying into many other Religions, so why not Wicca? I began Studying more into Wicca, and began to learn the Truth of what the Religion is about. The more I studied, and the more I learned, the more that I felt that Hole in my Soul, begin to Fill up! I had found the piece of me that had been missing, and I finally felt whole for the 1st time! When my Family learned what I had been Studying into, they grew scared. I was taken to have an Exorcism to be performed over me, because they believed I was "Possessed" by Evil Spirits, even though I was not doing anything wrong. It scared me at that time, because I was 13 when this happened. But as I grew older, my Soul found it's way back to Wicca, and again I felt whole again! There is a Religion that fits each of our Souls, but just because we are Born into a Religion, doesn't mean that Religion is Right for your Soul!

That everything isn't pointless. Truth is that all religions are made up to mask this one single fact. Be it Christianity, Wicca, Scientology. Even Atheism has become it's own religion. Existence however, does not have a reason. It merely exists. Life creates life, until it's rather insignificant light is blown out by a gust of wind. Would the universe change if our little spec of universe-dust ceased to exist tomorrow? Would anything, or anyone else out there notice, or care? The answer is no.

Theistic (belief in a personal god that concerns itself with human activity) - Christianity, islam, wicca, etc 2. Non-theistic (belief in a higher power or force - not a personal god) - Janism, etc 3. Atheistic (no belief in any god or supernatural force)- Realianism, Satanism, Theravada Buddhism.

I have a love-hate relationship with this band. I can't figure out why I like them. I don't think their lyrics are super clever, but I can't get enough of their music, which is weird because I don't usually listen to this sort of rock. All I know is that I keep coming back to this video, and it's on most of my playlists. While I can't quite bring myself to tell Inkubus Sukkubus to Rock On, I would like to thank them for the rocking they have done thus far.
A Christian friend of mine yesterday was in a grump because I was giving him grief over not doing his coursework and being a lazy sod. I found him later seeking solice in a King James Bible. He suddenly threw it aside and said "I don't like this Bible- it mentions circumcision." That sparked off me and our resident atheist preacher to give him a lecture on "YOU CAN'T PREACH THE GOOD BITS AND IGNORE THE BAD AND EXPECT US NOT TO HAVE A GO AT YOU FOR YOUR IGNORANCE."

You misspelled their name. They are the "Westboro Baptist Church", self-proclaimed Baptists who are unaffiliated with other Baptist churches and have been condemned for giving Baptists a bad name. They openly preach against Catholics, Orthodox Christians, Jews, and Muslims, who they consider to be Satanists. They also consider other Protestants to have shirked their duties and have issued statements against the Anglicans, the other Baptists (!), the Lutherans, the Methodists, and the Presbyterians. They make a lot of noise, but they are a tiny denomination. Estimates of their membership give at most 70 members.

I will ask you another question. Is the baptism of babies to a religion ethical, when they are too young to understand its creeds or unable to choose for themselves? I don't believe in Christianity (or in an afterlife for that matter), but I was baptised before I was able to talk and state documents still list me as a "Christian Orthodox".

The answer to redressing the imbalance in this world is not to turn dualism on it's head. By doing this and embracing the Biblical Devil is actually just strengthening the Church and justifies the idea of an equally powerful evil devil. It's said that the Church would cease to exist if it wasn't for their Devil. The concept of a Devil of punishment-and enforcer of the Biblical God's will- is alien to original Pagan belief systems. On one hand we do believe that what/who christians call Satan is The Highest (Masculane) Diety of pagans, but on the other hand we don't believe in 'christian devil', cute fallen angel or anything like that. He is the God that ascended from Dark Matter and created the World. He is the force moving and shifting everything in the universal law of physical, astral and spiritual plane. He is God of Nature and advesary (heb. " satan") to those lying in his name. He is Light and Darkness, Ra and Seth, Spirit of Life and Death, Sol Invictus and Black Sun personificated. GOD.
Set is far older than the Satan which has to rebel against a very young Religion. Rebelling against something, means that you are giving it power - but there again, that's what Satanism is isn't it? A 'necessary' counter-force to the Church, which cannot seem to exist without it. It's definitely a symbiotic relationship and neither road to travel appeals to a Nature person - one who walks with Faerie.. So each to their own, however I will just stick with the Goddess. The Goddess is tolerant of every Religion, although many are intolerant of Her. This is because the Goddess is within every person, and despite what many would tell us, we are all interconnected, all are part of the Goddess who is Nature. As we are all individual hearts, no matter what one calls oneself, it's at the Crossroads where all will be revealed and all will be leveled. No Religion is higher than the Truth.

Satan (in general) is just one of many faces and names for the one and the same entity, that presented it self and culturalized many tribes, kingdoms and religions, from which almost all the religions evolved. And if confronted with a real pagan, wiccan, atheist, whatever, they will fall back on "well, you're one of the good ones" and still assume the rest are scum.

I find it amazing that some people can get so riled up over a song about -past events- that they cannot realized the only way to stop such things from coming around is to -prevent- it by being -tolerant of every religion-. I am frustrated. Since becoming Wiccan I have yet to meet a Christian. Or person of organized religion. Who is tolerant and excepting of my beliefs. Makes me want to try harder with the "stay silent" rule. This song is true.
While in meditation they have told me welcome and reinstated in me my believe of standing up for those who can not help or defend themselves. They also have helped me to remember it is better to control my anger and put it to constructive uses rather than lash out at people. Trust me before I had a major anger problem. They've mostly just been there when I've really been in some dark spots and needed a little help myself, then told me to pass it on to the next one who needs help.

It's a fact, Christianity has set us back technologically and dare I say spiritually for millenia. Our spirit longs for something else, something that christianity has never been able to provide, that i've found in the gods and goddesses, fulfillment.
I really wish religions wouldn't bash each other....I mean most religions have very admirable intentions: Christianity is about finding forgiveness and understanding hope and acceptance. Judaism and Islam is about understanding God(but then again so is Christianity), Buddhism is about enlightening your spirit and consciousness through peaceful meditation, and Wicca is about respecting, protecting, and loving Nature.

It is based off the Celtic believes. But me and my friends took what we liked and started our own. Before that I was totally Electic and just picked and chose whatever felt right at the time.
