Inmotion loaned me a pre-production V10F and I took it up to my mountain proving grounds for a test. Here's part 1 of the ride.

Thanks. Unfortunately, Inmotion only made the wheel available to me for three days, and the charger broke midway through :-( So my review has been cut short and I've decided not to do the thorough review that I had hoped to do (it would be way too rushed). My complete stress test and commentary will provide some useful information though.

May I ask, how loud was this V10 when standing still and powered on? I got mine today and I can hear pretty loud high pitch noise + some other buzzing sounds. I don't have such thing with my V5 and especially the high pitch sound is very anoying. The sound stops when I press motor handle button (so it is definitely not from speaker). I am not sure whether this is normal or I got a bad batch. Any ideas greatly appreciated. Thank you.

It is probably a motor. I have KingSong KS-16S and it is noisy too. If you push or pull the EUC few centimeters, the noise varries, depending on a position of motor magnets.

My INMOTION v10 shows no indication of power after installing new motherboard. What could be the problem?

Assuming that you reconnected everything properly, you have been very unlucky and received a bad board. Wheels are very simple devices: control board, motor, and batteries.

@@ElectricUnicycles this all happened because the wheel was free spinning as I was putting it into my locker and the tire was burning rubber on the bottom floor of my locker and I couldn’t get it to stop spinning then everything just cut off and when I tried to power it on nothing would light up at all just completely dead. So I thought it was the motherboard

@@ElectricUnicycles maybe the second motherboard? There are two controllers the main one then the small one but I don’t see the small one for sale at Ewheels. I already spent $220 for the motherboard and if I gotta spend more money I’d be better off just buying an entire new wheel. But I already got the Sherman and the MSP so I might just forget about fixing this. I’m definitely not going to buy another V10

After one week of riding it, suddenly shots down, no power, tried opening it detached battery and motor wires put them back, finally powered on, after Reassemble it shots down again! Now it's useless, don't know where the problem is. Any help please? Thank you.

Sorry, but I was only loaned this test wheel. I don't have any in-depth knowledge of the interior of this wheel. Hopefully you can contact Inmotion for support or your dealer.

Hi Marty. I’ve been wondering about the V10 and the other two coming out soon, the ninebot and the king song L18. I’ve weighed as much as 270 on the V8 and live in the mountains. Only gripe with the V8 is I have to go slow down hills. But it pulls me up with that 800 watt motor like a champ. Coming up on two years now and 600 miles. I’m 258# at the moment. I’m sure the Chinese never anticipated super sized Westerners! 😬

Yeah, I don't think the Chinese test with riders like us Westerners :-) The V10F has a very strong motor - it's a different class of wheel than the V8, that's for sure.
