With incredible power and responsive handling, the V11 is difficult to learn, but crazy fun when you do. Just try not to die in the process. But I would hesitate to recommend it to beginners. The suspension is superb and means you can take some fairly hefty obstacles fine, but it's going to take a long time to get to that point, and until then, you're having a harder time of it by riding relatively high off the ground. If you're a complete beginner like I am, I would suggest something with slightly less suspension that you will sit closer to the ground on, lowering your center of gravity. With a retail price of upwards of $2000, the InMotion v11 isn't a cheap entry point into EUCs. But it's a good one, and if you're confident that this is a hobby or personal transport suitable for you, then I can certainly recommend the v11 as a powerful, solid, and reliable EUC.

They take some getting used to, but eventually you grow a cybernetic extension and become one with the wheel! It’s truly an incredible feeling of freedom.

I've heard riding a wheel described as something similar to skiing. If you ask me, this is way off Riding a wheel is akin to riding a magic carpet that can read your mind. But I think perhaps I prefer your cybernetic extension analogy.

The last 2 minutes has the most important message - do not give up learning it! Give it a hundred or two kilometers, and it will be as any shoes - just a personal magic carpet. You can eat a burger staring at the phone while riding with zero effort without even thinking about what's goin on down there at the ground.

An interesting tip too, and for those who are just starting out, avoid looking at the Unicycle when moving.

As someone who grew up in the time of the worst comic strip in history, I can't see one of these and not think of B.C. and Peter rolling around town on their stone wheels. Your short review and 'learning' clips brought me more smiles than every "B.C." strip combined. Proud of you for staying with it! I got a unicycle for xmas once as a kid. It went into the reservoir after about a week of busting my ass and I told my parents it was stolen, lol. GR,AA.

Thank you for the great review! Since you asked, I would love to see you review more new EUCs as they will be coming, just as you more recently did review newer Inmotion V12HT. Thanks. Keep up the great work!

The v11 was my first EUC. This was a great review, especially how you described learning. I too was very close to just giving up, it seemed way too difficult. Then one day something clicks, and now the best part of my day is commuting to work with my EUC. Something to add about the pedal height is since it's higher, you can lean more during turns without the worry of clipping the floor, although it does make it difficult when you're first learning.

Great review. Once you get more familiar with the V11, you'll appreciate the higher pedal height as it will allow you to make sharper turns without scraping the pedal. It's also a great looking wheel.

Great video! I totally agree the V11 is not a beginner wheel. You should learn on a smaller and less expensive wheel without suspension like the V5 or V8 if we stick to the Inmotion models.

The button works with gloves just fine and despite how it looks is also waterproof. Just have to push it bit more firmly i guess. I turn the light on and off without stopping - it won't turn the whole EUC off while riding so it's safe to do.

Another thing to consider while comparing it to ebikes and escooters is that EUC only needs 500 to 1000W to drive forward, but another 2000W to keep it safely upright in all circumstances. This alone is problematic with local e-ride laws because wattage is often directly mentioned in them without any consideration to how it's actually utilized or required.

Interesting. I mean, they're completely illegal here in the UK anyway, regardless of power :)
@MikaelLevoniemi

@@MakeUseOf I don't think they are really legal anywhere in EU. I'm based in Finland and it's impossible to get an insurance, but I ride anyway. In my opinion there won't be any pressure to update laws if there are no euc riders.

Welcome the world of EUC. Life will never be the same! The V11 is truly a nice looking wheel. With some serious stats and capability. It has aged well as the EUC world is rapidly changing. Take the current headliner the Master Pro for example. 22 inch wheel with 4800wh battery and 4500w motor! weighs about 125lbs!

Respectfully, speed wobble can definitely send you sliding on your hands/knees on pavement, especially as a new rider. Please wear gear. Without my elbow guards, knee/shin guards, and wrist guards I would have suffered broken a wrist or arm just a few days ago on my much less-powerful InMotion v5. I'm glad you didn't experience this during your learning and testing.

Kingsong s18 is my first EUC. The V11 is my second, bought used from a guy nearby that didn't like it cause it doesn't go fast enough for him, i got it for a good deal with a seat, power pads and a fast charger as well as some other items. I gotta say, the V11 feels more smooth and does need less leaning forward to get going. I'm really looking forward to using it more for long rides cause of the longer range and it doesn't actually feel that much heavier than my Kingsong s18 even though the difference is almost 20 lbs or about 9 kg. Happy to own both wheels.

What range were you able to achieve? I weigh a similar amount (105 kg) everybody else is a lot lighter so it's hard to get an approximation.
@pz_bowmaking8861
@pz_bowmaking8861 Год назад
I find that range has less to do with weight than how you ride. by riding with 20km/h(12.4mph) you get most range out of most EUCs, if you brake or going at high speed it wastes a lot of energy. Anyway going at 20-30 Km/h 60 kilometers or 37 miles should be bare minimum on this wheel provided battery is in fine condition, and maxium range should be about 100 kilometers or 62 miles. I'm around 80 kg and I can get 100 kilometers out of this wheel.
@multigreenman1238
@multigreenman1238 Год назад
@@pz_bowmaking8861 100 km is pretty crazy. I'm not planning on going a lot over 30 kph simply for safety reasons. I have mi pro 2 e scooter and while going 25 kph I get 20 km range which is less than half what they say. Weight def has an impact, unfortunately for me. Every body wants to be tall huh? it's not always fun

Honestly, I've not tried a hoverboard, but my gut feeling would be no because you don't need to balance on those - they have a wheel either side. This is all about getting the left right balance correct.

Less powerful EUCs (1000W or less) are more dangerous because they have no safety margins. If you ride ones top speed of 25-30kph on flat ground and then try to go up a hill, you will crash. So a recommendation from another EUC rider is to not consider low power wheels and go straight to 2,5-3,5kW wheels like the v11 here.

I would recommend to learn on a non-suspension wheel so you learn how to use your legs as suspension. Also the V11 is regarded as the worst suspension wheel on the market. You can change the tyre to a knobby tire for more grip off-road. When you have been riding for a month or how ever long it takes you to feel comfortable, invest in some power pads to get more control over the wheel.
@TheParentalRevolution

I have the v11 & the suspension, when properly pressurized to one's weight & style of riding, is splendid. Grant it it's my 1st & only euc I have ridden so I have no experience on other models to compare it to but in the nearly 200 miles I have rode my v11 thus far with a lil bit of that in grassy, bumpy, rough spots in the road, gravel I still feel comfortable declaring the v11 suspension to be a great suspension, even if some of the other ones are better.
