Hey Mojaxx...thank you for doing a high quality review! Just wanted to add that we made the PNP3 shorter by shrinking the PC board and putting all low profile connectors and dials on the back. This reduction from 45mm to 38mm allows the Innofader PNP3 to fit in the Pioneer S3, S5, S7, S9, and S11. The key to this change is we didn't make the fader smaller by cheapening on the fader or compromise on the design but by being smart with the design. Even as we now include spare stems with each fader, we've also changed the stem manufacturing process to increase the strength of the stem and further reduce the possibility of breakage. We have this improvement first implemented in the Innofader Rane 1-70-72 since these have long stem extensions which put more pressure on the stem, and by 2024 all of our full bodied Innofaders will have this improvement.
I installed the pnp3 innofader for my rane 70 mixer. Somehow, my mixer turns on but is frozen (rane logo keeps blinking)and mixer doesn't light up. I disconnect and it works. I connect innofader, and it is stuck on rane logo blinking. I emailed audio Innovative about my issue and hope they can assist me.
Thx for the great review. 🙏What I like most about the Innofader is that you can have different Hardware from different brands but you have always the same fader feeling 😎👌 I am really hyped about the pnp3 because it seems less struggling with the settings when it comes to the details like cut in 👍 I was only hyped about a fader similar to the pnp3 when the samurai fader from vestax came out. this fader was insane at that time 🤪🤙🔥💯
Last year managed to buy genuine innofader for XONE23, which apparently is discontinued, but was lucky to buy and ship from Greece to UK 😂😂 works great, easy plug and play installation.
Mojaxx, you should do a review on the Ecler Eternal fader. That's the best fader I've ever used. I haven't tried the PNP3 yet, but the Eternal is amazing for scratching. So smooth and loose and it stays in the "corners" when beat juggling....
Ordered 2 minis as my new line faders when the stock Alpha faders died. Saved me thousands. My MIXARS Duo MKII might get a PNP Crossfader upgrade down the road.
Lived the Penny and Giles Fader for my old Vestax. You could simply deconstruct them, clean and lube them and piece them back together, just like a gun: Killer gear!
Penny and giles is still alive, the company has been sold and therefore the name changed. But they are still selling some of the products with the same specs
Hello brother, please help me with innofader guides. Im using Traktor z2 mixer and my both channel faders and crossfader is not working properly. I tried recalibrating but still didnt work. Iam thinking to buy new faders from innofader. When I open the innofader site I get confused. I just want to know which one is the latest innofader and which one should I buy for channel faders and crossfader. Please help me
@@kenjomdeori8106 a z2 has a mini innofader. It can be optimized with 3. What do you mean by not working properly? Did you map these controls properly in the software you're using? It's very unlikely all 3 of these would be defective at the same time on the same unit. Which software?
@@evanrandall1675 Iam using Traktor pro 3 software. I feel like my issue is due to moisture. The place where I stay is too much humid. I think my faders got affected by carbon just like it happens in cars battery. In the software the faders move by itself even though Iam not touching the mixer. And sometimes the faders are stuck in the middle in the software even though I move the faders all the way up and down in the mixer. I tried recalibrating but still it didn’t work. So I think it’s time to change the faders. Please help me which one innofaders will be good.
@@kenjomdeori8106 I think you are probably right about the moisture, if you take the covers off these faders can be cleaned and repaired but it may not succeed. Z2 mixer uses "mini innofader" for all 3. The channel faders and crossfader. " Innofader duo pack" is made to replace the channel faders in the Z2. Mini innofaders can also be found on ebay for $50. This is an excellent mixer and you are using superb software
Used to swap out the stock faders in my Vestax battle mixers for Penny & Giles - always preferred the smooth/lighter feel, if I remember correctly you could also tear them down for maintenance and repair easily.
Not the latest - have mine for over 3 months in Traktor Z2 but I still didn't set left / right cutting time on the right way. In Z2 upper plate is much narrow than on the PNP3 and it needs be adjust that curve times that suits for You - that might take some time and observation. But shure i'll do it in a near future - no time for tablism lately.
My favorite fader of all time is the ecler eternal fader, still the sharpest fader ive ever used and the lightest. The pro x fade is probably my 2nd, it feels like a classic vestax fader but slightly better. My least favorite fader has been on my old american audio qd5, it was a cheap optical style fader, it got dirty and gunky quick and was very hard to take apart and clean.
My xone 96 came with an innofader mini, but it doesn't cut as sharp. And i feel like there's a slight delay even after calibrating it. I actually have the original innofader in my vestax 05 and it still cuts like i just bought it, but the mini doesn't compare! I've reached out to innofader & allen & heath both can't even do an actual tutorial video on to make the fader cut sharper. The pnp3 might just be the upgrade i need.
Havens had so much joy with the innofader mini, I've had two. Its like it don't handle speed as good as my PNP2. My pnp2 maybe need a full clean after 3 years of scratching. Maybe it needs to be replaced whit a pnp3 :) My old vestal fader from 20 years ago is still rocking. Not as sharps ass the innofader, but I still love it. Pnp3 - yes I want one :) Thanks Mojax
at around $170 usd this latest (and all past) innofaders w/ their inclusion of a wealth of extra fittings and hardware etc etc. should 100% shame Jico and their insanely overpriced m447 clones (similar price point) that contain zero extra hardware or even basic mounting screws/fittings or rudimentary guidance as to setup as compared to the original Shures. i do own a pair of n447 Jicos and a few white label carts (before they tripled prices), and i appreciate their adequacy but no less than i appreciate the adequacy of Tonars clones styluses. the obvious difference being that i have a box of 15 extra Tonar n-44-7 styli which cost as much as as a single Jico stylus. Audio Innovate should be awarded the highest prize possible for Basic Decency in a world of monsters
I had to sell my 1210 mk2's a while back, so I have not been cutting much since the start of the pandemic. I really like the Numark though, but I have not been able to put my hands on that many mixers that where not mine. Maybe not the most durable faders in the world, but my DM-950 always felt like good enough for what I was doing, and I only like swapped the fader on it 4-5 times over the course of 15 years. Before that I had this Omnitronic that I got cheap over in Germany when I was first starting out, but that one just died like a brick for no apearent reason on it's 2nd fader. After I started spinning more minimalistic and just doing slow fades, I just got a DJM-300, because it has UV meters on it. The fader on that feels like OK, but it is a bit wobbely up and down compared compared to the Numark. The fader that is in it is an original replacement that is branded Pioneer. I remember cutting on one of those when my Omnitronic mixer failed, and I just borrowed a Pioneer mixer to do the gig, but definitely not the sort of fader I would chose to cut on, when I have the DM-950 kicking around.
@Mojaxx Thank you very much for the quick reply. A technician ( he's a bro and a pro ) will be repairing my 700 soon, so I have to calculate the parts costs in advance. As a teenager (80s/90s) I owned a cheap 2-channel dj mixer for mixing & recording music on cassettes (i'm a vinyl-junkie) and now, about 30 years later, I have this used 700, which needs to be repaired. And to be honest, I've no idea what's all possible with a 700. For me, it's a huge dj device and more than enough. But it's impossible to make transitions / blends from one to the other track. Not workin'. If you can tell me which parts absolutely need to be changed, renewed, inspected, repaired, or even upgraded in mixers like the 700, I would be happy. I checked out your Techtools review with your 700, and your 700 in the video looks great with the colored knobs. Thanks. Have a nice weekend.
@@Ronald-Reggae- thats a given, although the DJM a9 dropped in March, hard to obtain with supply chains. I posted as it isn't listed, but wondering if someone has already tried. Also incase innofader is watching, to show interest on the A9. Thanks for reply thou
