Hi, i think this is a specific unit issue and a strict action is needed, You should be getting a replacement for this. As i am an owner of 2021 October 4x4 Fortuner Auto - bs6, and haven't faced any issues mentioned by @rajsdvd and even in my acquaintance all owning bs6 fortuner are pretty happy with fortuner and facing no issues. Faulty unit for sure

This is due to improper Combustion, Addblue is just to absorb pollutants Improper Combustion create lots of pollutants and consumer too much addblue(add blue is just a urea ) Solution can be injector check or map sensor or oxygen sensor.

All ribish by Toyota people becouse this low conc.urea does not enter in the engine it's mixed with Nox gas which is released by your engine in exhost systen it's only for to break down Nox.gass So it could not effect starting of car If you don't refill this it will not affect your car engine performance.

The person you are interviewing (Rajiv Dwivedi Ji) is EXCELLENT in telling his story. Your skills as a presenter and interviewer are ABSOLUTELY EXCEPTIONAL- you're gently letting him tell his story; very compelling viewing. This appears to be a software problem; software needs to be either updated or wiped and reinstalled. Problem will go 100%. I'm utterly flabbergasted that Toyota did not suggest this. I'm glad they're following up with Dwivedi Ji.

@@harsh96. I think the problem is tuning of the Engine. Toyota Diesel engine always runs in low RPM. It achieves 100kmph @15-1600 RPM. And with manual transmission people always change gears under 2000 RPM. This is the enemy of DPF regeneration. To clean the DPF engine needs to run @ 2800-3000 RPM (in 3rd gear at 80 kmph). MT fortuners are suffering more than AT. Because in AT gear changes happen in higher RPM than MT. Second thing is DEF tank of Fortuner is very small wrt the size of Engine. Third thing is there is no DEF level indicator in instrument cluster. Mahindra diesels are better in this regard. They've bigger DEF tank, DEF level indicator, high state of tune Engine (yes it affects fuel consumption), auto-regen function. I think Toyota wants to convert it's powertrain to hybrid petrol engines. So they aren't putting effort in Diesels. But at the end customers are suffering & getting headache after spending half a crore hard earned money.

@@rajjagconsultantgeologist7282 I think they will do nothing in this regard. If this whole issue is arising for a single component then they would've addressed it by replacing that faulty component. That's why I believe this is a fault of entire system which can't be addressed without thorough R&D. But now why to invest in R&D of a diesel engine which future is uncertain. They are into petrol hybrid engines now. Done with Innova. I think next is Fortuner.

Kudos to you Ravi for highlighting the genuine serious problem of the owner. It is clearly a manufacturing defect. Most likely ECU. Had he been in US he would have got replacement car long back. Unfortunately our Judiciary is not strong enough to deal with such cases promptly. Let me tell you all other car manufacturers deal with such cases similarly. Like I'm suffering at the hands of Maruti with their flagship car Swift. My best wishes for the owner and compliment for your efforts. 🙏

I am from Karnataka and My father is a former also my uncle is a mechanic with 45 years of Rich experience in repairing starting from Ambassador to Recent model... He recommended Toyota engine's over the other vehicles... He owns TOYOTA QUALIS 2002 model and challenge that I will drive my qualis from Kanyakumari to kashmir in one stretch. That is the guarantee I can give you. Believing his words we purchased a pre owned 2002 Toyota qualis GS model which is already driven close to 2.5 lack km in the fast 20 years still runs like a butter...we totally loved the vehicle since we need it for family and agricultural purpose use. The sum up is that the Basic engines are gems (no sensors) more technology more sensor is equal to more maintenance and more saradard....😜😜 Since I own ford fiesta classic diesel 2011 model I know the fear when the Sensor light blinks on the dashboard then how it feels !!

This should be a case study… as to how such world renowned, efficient, 6 Sigma car companies compromise their quality standards in India and the gov.in looks the other way. Wow. 40-45 Lakhs spent karne ke baad bhi agar is tarah ka issue aaye customer ko aur Toyota se satisfactory solution bhi na mile to fir kya fayeda. Adblue is issue is common to all bs6 diesel, i faced the same issue with verna. If you want a diesel vehicle now you have to deal with it.

Same thing happened with my Scorpio classic within 10 days of purchase but Mahindra resolved my issue, it took around 10 days and at that time it was really frustrating, I can understand the dilemma and frustration of owner

@@avl123 Things are changing for the better with both Tata and Mahindra. Yes, compared to Toyota these have been found to have more issues but they are improving with time. Just see the reputation Tata Mahindra had 5-10 years ago Vs today! Also, Toyota started making cars way back with a strong R and D with enourmous govt. support but in India its a different story.. Lets stand with our own homegrown India brands, and with time they will be at par with the so-called leading automakers.

AddBlue or DPF or Urea is a big nuisance for all car & heavy duty manufacturers. Commercial fleets in US/Canada are constantly struggling with ReGen issues & sometimes new trucks spend considerable time in workshops trying to beat this problem. So, it is a technology that is not matured enough but imposed on manufacturers to meet strict emission Norms. 👍

I bought my Nexon Ev without a test drive, went to the dealer and booked it and waited. It has not been anything less than a Toyota for me. Reliable!!! I've driven 12000 kms in 6 months sometimes with around 600 to 800 kms in a day (averaging at 80-110 km/hr) and it never broke a sweat. The range anxiety has vanished for me as for my style it'll travel 200 kms on a single charge (80%) with AC. it's still far from a long distance car but I've always taken it on routes that have enough charging points. In all its a great buy for what it offers. Yes it's pricey no doubt about that but it's simply fuss free ownership.

My cousin wanted to buy fortuner so we took review from two owners both driving year 2021 and 2022 fortuners. They told us not to buy models with Add blue at all because it always gave them anxiety. So we searched for a used one and found dec 2019 with 37k on meter, we purchased that and it’s been running excellent so far. On top of that we saved 12 lakhs.

Make sure you know about repaint and etc. if you are not sure then always get a trustworthy machine along with you as some dealers wink at them ( it means commision for them). Be 100% sure before buying a used vehicle brother

This is really concerning. Toyota's only USP is reliability and dependable vehicles. When I used to watch any war news in middle-east or afghanistan, I always saw toyota SUVs being used as they are most trust-worthy. I'm a middle class, middle aged man and I owned an Alto for 14 years. Very often I drove it continuously for 10 hours at a stretch and never faced any problem. Maruti cars come cheap and are trouble free. Now I own a Swift. No problems at all. I get a mileage of atleast 25 kmpl. The Alto cost was 2.8 lacs in 2004 and the Swift cost me 7 lacs in 2018.Value for money.

I have purchased 4x4 Manual, 4 months back... Same story is with me... We had 2013 4x4 Fortuner,sold because of NGT issue, otherwise it was Tank Solid... Then we baught This 2022 BS6 4X4 Sigma , without extra Warenty ,same as sir in video... Facing exactly same problem of addblue , i feel insecure now ,which is not at acceptable in the brand Toyota fortuner... It's true that previous generation was totally rough and tough according to Indian conditions... But now I think things has changed, feeling sad after spending near to 50L amount.. Not acceptable at all..

@@pratyushkishore9030 NATIONAL GREEN TRIBUNAL, because of its orders one can not drive more than 10 years old diesel vehicles in Delhi - NCR. And to be honest it's a bullshit rule... Just to sell new cars... Just tell me ,the people who are driving primium cars like BMW and Mercedes , what will happen to their engine or maintenance within the time frame of 10 years.. After spending lacs of rupees on these cars one is not allowed to drive them after 10 years in NCR.. It's a pure hypocrisy.. In fact the judgement of Road Worthiness (in terms of polution) of that particular car should be there in terms of fitness not the manufacturing year. What a stupid rule , to fool people... It's a hard earned money... And they just scrap the vehicle because it's 10 year old.. Even if its still in a showroom condition.. What a joke...

Yea Toyota wale sayad chah raha hain ki diesel gadi koi na le. Sab petrol yea ev pe shift kadhe. Sabhi brand ka add blue leke to same issues ho raha hain. Toyota ko fir bhi believe kadhte thay, but aab to laag raha hain SUV kharide to petrol hi lenge. Atleast yea add blue ka jhanjhat se to mukti

Recently in kerala with respect to another issue consumer court has passed a verdict in favor of consumer against manufacturer and dealer,and the issue was they were not getting the claimed mileage.the advocate himself had told that no one till date has approached for similar issues through courts.since you are a lawyer you should blindfolded slap a case against manufacturer ,obviously you will be having the necessary records for the same.

Doesnt work with arai testing the mileage Its not the companys fault that the claimed arai range and mileage comes to one thing The problem is arai testing parameters in labs and not real life conditions

This is the case with every company in India… Any kind of manufacturing fault is not rectified by service ppl… Our country should bring 1 year Guarantee policy instead of warranty so that companies should replace or refund the amount if problems are not rectified

Sir I am also lawyer practicing at Belagavi, Karnataka. This vehicle is a defective piece. After going through ur discussion with my colleague lawyer it is crystal clear that it is a manufacturing defect and my colleague lawyer can claim for replacement of vehicle itself only or repayment with interest. And I am sure u will get a new vehicle in replacement. Approach consumer commission.

My experience with crysta’s add blu system has been fine, just keep a 5L can of add blu whenever you are travelling long distances.

Adblue is used in the exhaust pipes of a diesel engine powered cars to reduce pollution. And there are different types of sensors installed to measure the load on the engine wheather its high speed driving or high load with a lot of weight being towed by the vehicle. Since the owner says that he uses his fortuner to cruize at 130 kph on the highway during long drive and the Adblue just keeps on depleting even when driving normally in the city. I am suspecting there is some sensor calibration issue with this particular unit or the sensor is not working at all in which case Adblue will deplete rapidly

There is a manufacturing defect in this particular vehicle as i also own 1 fortuner 2021 4x4 it’s driven about 30k km. If the drives are regular on highways and hills the add blue interval reduces to 5k - 7k km if it’s only city run then the interval becomes 8k to 12 k km and there is nothing specific that it is compulsory to fill Bs6 disel

Ravi bhai since the launching of bs6 diesel cars no youtuber has covered this dpf/ad blue issue. I purchased a ford ecosport bs6 in march 2021 and i am facing torture since then..my car has been recalled 2 times for caralytic converter replacement and still there is no relief. Bs6 diesel engines are big pain.. I regret my decesion every single time when i drive the car..

You are right. This problem came up after BS6 engines were introduced. To meet the set emission norms, manufacfurer got a catyltic converter which could filter the emission to expectations. Problem come if you drive a BS6 diesel car in slow speed (

@@winimation i have tried everything in last 26000kms and trust me the feel of diesel is no more there..frequent regeneration attempts happen on highway drives every 100-150kms..the feel of diesel engine is lost now.

I suggest to get your dpf clean by service guys. They are driving at highway at constant speed and doing regeneration or small cleaning. So its need to get clean manually. This may solve your problem. Job require special equipment and arrangements for the same but it may be not available with showroom. This is common problem with BS6 diesel engine if daily running km is less and city drive

This new Adblue in BS6 Diesel engine is stopping buyer to get diesel cars as it is huge burden for the buyer who is spending money on a diesel car, I am lucky that i just got my Innova 2019 BS4 model and i am happy with it
