I'm here to give you lovely people a breakdown on the Innovv K3. I believe the K3 to be the best dashcam for your bike at under £300. I'll tell you the pro's and con's of the Innovv K3 over the Innovv K2 and it's more 'powerfull' brother, the Innovv K5.

Other than the remote, the other HUGE difference between the K2 and K3 is the ability for an external microphone on the K3. The K2 only has the internal microphone (which may be useless if you have the DVR "hidden"). Great review. I have the K2 on my R1250GS and will be putting the K3 on my H-D Pan America, I should get one for my wife's Spyder. I have 3 SD cards which I will swap out when I am on longer trips.

Agree, most DVR's on K2 or K3 have to be located under the seat or other 'hidden' location. I've placed the external microphone at the rear of the bike behind the rear light cluster on the VFR800X. It's a good 'piece of mind' kit, I recently was subject to some road rage after a perfectly legal and safe overtake (pick up driver just didn't like being overtaken).

@@robchisholm72 You are most welcome. Please can you help me with a problem. The videos I have downloaded on my phone from my INNOVV I cannot email or text out. Is that even possible or am I doing something wrong. Keeps telling me file too big.

@@karlp3840 I can't comment on file transfer to a mobile phone, as I prefer removing the SD card from the Innovv and uploading them direct to a file on my laptop. However, these can be big files, so I'd suggest it may not be possible without some form of 'file compression' software if you wanted to email/text them out.

Because the K3's internet connection and transfer speed is slow (compaired to the K5's) it's easier to just pop the SD card and you get better viewing of your footage than squinting on a mobile phone. Like you the quality of the K3 is good enough for personal use and also for insurance/police requirements. I also find the camera's of the K3 can easily be descreetly mounted unlike the front camera of the K5. Glad my views and opinion of what is an expensive addition to your bike was of use to you. Hi Tim, thanks. The advantage of these are it will come on as soon as you turn the ignition on, as apposed to having to make sure the battery's charged. I got one because I'd had a couple of close calls while commuting, thankfully my attention to the road and desire to avoid injury prevented an off so far.....

@@robchisholm72 Yeah, I've had one in the car for a few years that just runs permanently and eventually overwrites the old data after a few weeks. I got it after a friend was able to capture the car reg of a hit and run incident while parked, which resulted in sweet justice :)

Informative video. Thank you. In looping mode, what happens when you tap the record button on the remote? Specifically, how much time before the button was pressed is saved, and does it continue recording until you press the button again - or does it automatically stop recording after a set time has elapsed?

Hi Hung, thank you for your comment and for taking the time to watch the video. You can set the loop time so it can record for 1 minute, 3 minutes, 5 minutes ect. Personally I leave it in standard so it will fill the Micro SD Card then start rewriting over the oldest data.

Nice video. I am thinking about changing the camera to Innovv K3. I also have a Honda Crossrunner. Show or tell me where you mounted the front camera on your bike?

Hi pszemokalina, thanks for watching and commenting. I can highly recommend the K3 as a dashcam if you only want to review your ride or if you need to proof in an insurance claim. My Crossrunner is a 2017, I've mounted the front camera under the black beak infront of the headlight. I then routed the cable up the underside of the beak. The M3 sticky pad to mount the camera did come loose due to weather ingress, so I've reinforced the camera mounting with a cable tie/zip tie then cut off the exess when tight. I hope this helps?

Nice video, just the info I was looking for, I was surprised to see the video settings where you can choose the front or rear camera as the main camera. I naturally presumed 2 cameras would be 2 separate streams of video being saved, have I understood that correctly? Looks to me like you've lost the video underneath where the secondary camera is overlayed? Would be annoying if that part of the screen has something you needed to record.

Hi Mark, thanks for watching and your comments. You can choose the front or rear camera to be your primary image on the app, this is only a 'raw' view on the app, however, the system records both seperately so you won't loose that bit of imagery if you need it later. Personally, I remove the SD Card and place it direct into my laptop then you search the time frame you want and you'll find two files, one will be the front camera and the other the rear camera. Just recently got this for my T7. How are you finding the audio now? Did you sort it out? Any sound I’m getting appears to sound just like a continuous flushing toilet. Wondering where you mounted/hid the mic? Good vid mate 👍🏼

Hi Rider Guider, thanks for watching and for taking the time to leave a comment. Yeah the audio isn't brilliant, I've moved the mic to the very rear of the bike and mounted it next to the rear light cluster under the seat. I've also added a fluffy 'cat' over the mic, which has helped a bit.

@@robchisholm72 I'll have an experiment. Audio is a science in itself sometimes. It does daft stuff where it will be crap where you think it would be good and good out in the wind. It's very poor on mine. Not too concerned because I have a better audio set up for my content but it doesn't even do a decent job of the exhaust, good excuse for a fettle haha.

@@TheRiderGuider Absolutely, it depends on how much you want to use the audio, but it certainly needs tinkering about with until you find a sound quality you're happy with. I believe the K5's got a much better set up.

Press the button twice takes photos, press once saves video, as per the manual.

Bicester Bob, I'm coming back here for one more question. Your attention is very important to me, I need to have a safe opinion about purchasing the K3 or some other dashcam that has image stabilization.. Do you know a good DashCam that has digital image stabilization? Perhaps, some of the subscribers to the channel have the same need to obtain videos with good stabilization at speeds above 100km/h or even on off-road dirt roads. Can anyone help me in this quest?

I believe the Innovv K5 has better stabilisation but it depends also on where you mount the cameras. Apart from that, I would ask others for their comments.

Hi IolRasta, firstly, thanks for watching and leaving a comment. To answer your question, if you don't want the remote control you could try the system without it, or simply hide the remote under your seat with the control unit. However, the remote does let you know when the system is working as well as allowing you to instantly capture still photo's or save footage if you want to review it later, either for legal reasons or just to relive a great ride.

Hi Rita, firstly thanks for watching and leaving a comment. I would suggest consulting the manual or contact Innovv directly. I think you may have to 'reset' the DVR unit to search for your new phone as you would have done on initial set up. Please let me know how you get on as this is something that will affect all K3 owners when we change or mobile phones.

I do not think the service from the com is good. I asked what is required to use the system, as I had a Samsung note 8. Instead of telling me what is required, I was informed to a Appel Phone. Hi. Have just ordered a Innovv K3 camera system for my BMW 1200 GSA. The problem is that I cannot link the system to my phone which is a Samsung Note 8, This will be required so I can see about the camera is installed correct. Think I need to see the picture on the phone so I can see if the front is going to front port, to see about the camera is turned correct. The answer was. Dear Bendiks Sorry for the problem you got from the K3, could you please go to your mobile phone, and switch off the data for the INNOVV App? Would you please use another mobile phone such as an iPhone if possible? Besides the "Wifi Connection" problem, are there any other problems? Could you please see if the K3 records well or not? Thanks and hope to hear from you soon.

Hi Bendiks, my apologies for delayed reply. I'm not familiar with the Note 8, but I presume it uses Android software the same as other Samsung phones? If this is the case, then you should be able to use the standard Android software/app that I use (I have a Galaxy 9) phone. Alternatively try using a laptop bluetoothed to the system to see if that allows you to set it up? Please let me know how you've got on.
