Had the Aurender N10 now have the N20 and ACS10. Their customer service, along with the sound quality I am set forever. I always use the SDIF outputs, which are timed by their superb internal clock and USB only for DSD.
Had my Innuos Zen Mk 3 for 20 months now and absolutely agree with you, the hardware sounds awesome, the software is second to none and it compares very favourably with my Marantz TT15S1 turntable.
Have my innuos Zen Mini 3 (1TB SSD) playing into the Naim Nait 50 and a set of Kudos XS2. Great sounding little system. - now looking to add a LPS to improve the internal DAC, or possibly just get a Chord Qutest. The Innuos Sense App is the best I’ve used (apart from Roon. But that’s not free)
nice!please do not use Roon as the high end streamer softwares innuos sense, aurender conductor ,lumin, auralic lightning etc have better sound on there own.If you do not agree please do the test with innuos alone then with roon and listen for the introduction of glare when roon is being used
@@greatlookinglandscap I’ve stopped using Roon a few years ago now. It was good for discovering new music, but yes the sound quality is better with Innuos’ Sense App.
When purchasing my mini mk3, my supplier advised me to play on the old version 1.4.2. I paid extra for this to be done. The sound is said to be better than the subsequent updates. I enjoyed this for 3 years until a few months ago I could no longer use Roon. I have now updated to 2.5.1 and to my sadness my supplier was right. The sound is completely different. Much less open and less experience. I don't understand why Innuos doesn't give us the option to choose which version you want to play on since they change the sound with every update.
You're being a bit simplistic with our explanation. I don't disagree that Innuous is a great streaming ecosystem and I say that being their application is a big part of why they're good. But digital is all about the entirety of the chain. Digital interconnect cables matter more than analog interconnects. The synergy between a streamer and the rest of the chain is important and there are better cheaper solutions IMO and better more expensive solutions IMO. The point is that you can't just say it's the streamer and be done with that. Vibration isolation, power, cables even the Ethernet you put into the streamer matters.
well yes your on the money. They all work together. For me the system sounded amazing with two different dacs I tried.ZEN mk3 Its usb only which some wont like .But as all things audio its how everything works together.I hate using buzz words but here goes “Synergy”.I will say I tried it with different systems and results were the same.Superb
I have the Innuos Zenith MK3 with the 2 TB drive that I got for $2400 which was an absolute bargain. It looks brand new but the only thing is it didn’t come with the original box. It’s a box. The Innuos is just simply amazing!
Theres so many out there.I used an Ayre qb-9 dsd with great results.I am not a believer in the latest and greatest dac a month syndrome goin on.Its hilarious
roon is terrible via sound I did the test when i had the zen mk3 with sense vs roon software.Roon brought uneeded glare. Many do not realize the importance of well implemented software. Also all software has a signature. And the well implemented independent softwares aurender conductor,Innuos sense etc have always sounded best as sound is number 1 organization bling second.
What’s your thought on the Pulse Mini? Right now I have a Bluesound Node feeding my McIntosh integrated over Toslink and my Decware using the analog output. The pulse seems like the best streamer for me and my budget but then I’d lose the analog out functionality.
I would say its superb but I owned the zen mk3 but its usb only which in my opinion is what you should shoot for as its a bare bone streamer no dac because then you have But if theres limitations I would recommend pulse mini for sure. Its going to be quite a step up and its not limited to usb but just look into it.For me a bare bone streamer is best if I was still using separates
I’m having bother with crackles on my turntable I’ve tried everything, have you any ideas do I not clean the vinyl there about 2 weeks old , they were ok , I’ve checked the settings on the tt and the earth connection
well crackles are unavoidable as that part of the vinyl journey even with some new vinyl.Check overall setup from balancing the arm to correct tracking weight could be set too heavy .Cheaper cartridges with thicker cantilevers can be more noisy as they dont get in the grove as well and can also collect dust easier.A more costly cartridge could be tried.Clean vinyl well but shouldnt need that for a long time other than a record brush. What turntable and cart is it?
😂your funny!and I wont be trying the flavor of the mth. I stick to bare bone streamers.I since moved on from separates.I know I said it here already my streamer recommendation to anyone is the sweet spot of the Innuos line zen mk3.Its a superb machine in every way from sound to navigation. Its a real music machine
@@kenwk2283 I do not a d really had no interest.I like an industrial more simple elegant design without display which can fail and a streamer only no dac built in.The Innuos for me in sound and look.
