The main reason I got the V20 is because of the DAC and also part of the reason why I'm gonna get the new V40. Personally I wish more people talked about how great the DAC is. But that's just me I guess
Even with all the youtubers reviewing phones like the Note 9, the iPhones, and pixel phones, etc....i keep coming back to the few reviewers that focus or talk about the LG phones. They are great phones, not perfect but definitely underrated. I wanna get a new phone and am thinking about getting the v40. I heard that certain networks like t-mobile are having bootloop issues with the g7. That makes me hesitant to get an LG phone even tho I never had a problem with that in any previous lg phones I had. Good review bro. ✌️
Eh, design does not look very modern. Or is it only on camera? Nevermind, wide angle photos look outstanding and crispy. Best photo mobile for the near future .
Now I see why the colors looked so off in your previous comparison video against the iPhone. It's a review unit. My girlfriends V40 doesn't have those issues.
You are probably the only one talk about manual mode. Great video!! btw, the mic on my V10 can record birds singing the wood professionally. Believe v40 can do better.
Hello Sir this is Ankit from India🇮🇳 after watching all your video on LGV40THINQ n I purchased LGV40 for camera📷 n I am much happy n satisfied n i love your voice n style Thank you very much
You have many hidden settings unknown to me and focused more on the camera's pros and cons but nothing about the internet connectivity and call qualities matters lots to the consumers.
Ben, that's the best walk-though of the phone I have seen yet. Thanks! Two questions: 1. With the fingerprint sensor on, will it wake the phone - or do you have to touch the power button, then unlock? 2. The speaker - supposedly, the phone is designed with a hollow space in the back so that, when you lay it down on something that will resonate, the sound is great. Have you tried that? Does it work? Not that I'd ever waste time not listening via corded earbuds and the 32-bit DAC... Bonus question: have you recieved an update that eliminates the difference in white balance between the lenses?
Hey thank you. 1. Yes it will wake as your finger touches 2. I tried this with case off, and sadly did not notice a difference 3. Sadly, no camera updates yet
Please do a camera comparison with the V30. Also, why do you prefer the power button on the side? I really like that my V30 has it under the finger print sensor where my finger will be anyway.
I use V30 daily driver also. Does the V40 have improved display? Because I think my V30 screen is Beautiful. Have the Font selfie camera issues on V30 been addressed in the V40? Is the DAC same as V30?
s anyone else experiencing the Home Screen loop option being randomly turned off. At first I thought it was something I did by accident. But now it's happened several times and I'm not sure why. Weird.
Either my V40 is broken or a tele-photo camera is a fake. I can't actually see the difference between tele and standard mode. The Tele picture is of so poor quality like digitally zoomed-in standard lens picture. Do you have similar feelings?
Google mandated in october that "popular phones" must be no more than 90 days behind in security updates. So that's nice, from a security standpoint. But from an OS standpoint... 2 or 3 months after google released Android P, LG finally decided to upgrade my V20 to Android O. So. Dont expect timely OS updates. Don't get me wrong, i love the specs and the customizability. If there's any slack I'd cut them, it's that at least we can do a lot with the OS that i cant with others, like the home button mix'n'matching. And the upgrade to Oreo did revitalise the phone. It feels a touch snappier. But... Won't deny that lag of over a year is disappointing.
It erks me that every review says single firing speaker when its dual firing speaker lg states this on their website and i own a v40 its definitely dual firing spers
@@AuthenTech The M20 pro is so expensive. Its one of those situations where its better to buy V40 off ebay for $600ish and spend remaining difference $400-500 on a DSLR. Even if money was not a concern its still the worse option as LG has an incredible cine log algorithm for graded post production and S845 at a hardware level has newer features than M20's Kirin
Sorry, but you're yet another RU-vidr reviewing this phone that says only the normal camera has OIS. That is incorrect, the Telephoto lens has OIS as well. The wide-angled lens doesn't need OIS.
cool, a test that show the good and not only bad things like, iphone cam have 1% better sharpness, dynamics from google is better... LG have so mutch good stuff and all comparison only stuff thats have all. Videos from LG looks on my home cinema on "11.5 4k extrem nice that is so awesome!
Thanks for the great review. LG V40 needs more love. However as it pertains to the speaker you're on an island. Pretty much every other reviewer says it's super loud and clear. Especially when placed on a table top or hollow box. FYI.. on LGs site it says the V40 has dual speakers. It literally says "Boombox Speaker - inner resonance chamber along with top and bottom speakers provide greater sound levels for boosted bass" Just sayin...
@@AuthenTech Yeah its great dude. I've had it for some time now. Last phone I had was the mate 10 pro, it's really good too. I've tried the new pixel and the new iPhone, both good phones but the mate 20 pro is just top notch. Best phone in 2018 imo. Love your videos btw!
