best part of the video other than the food is interaction of Aunty. Imagine her selling 20 bowls per day to make ends meet when she started. Now it has the whole family helping out. And Zermatt expanding their laksa on the youtube map. Zermatt your humility really showed in the video. Stayed that way regardless of how famous you become. Aunty is humble to still want to innovate and change knowing newer generations have different taste buds. She is also very happy she can retire. No one will ever bring such a big bowl of laksa.

when they started, I'm still in sec sch. their initial location is the shop at the area where there is dessert stall. Always see one friendly uncle selling n serving. Later they shifted(some ppl say forced) to this area. Might not be the best laksa but it was good n affordable for the student me then. Its my fav laksa stall, i even bring my Japanese friends over.

As a professional laksa connoisseur, the best laksa i had tasted yet, is at Simei CC. extremely thick and milky broth that sticks onto the CHEWY noodles. similar to a high quality ramen. so much favour in a simple bowl of laksa that cost only $3.8! it is so delicious they always sell out before 12pm. must eat in the morning.

For the foreigners who are learning to use chopsticks, just a trivia: it's impolite to hit the chopsticks to the bowl. In the past, beggers hit the bowl for attention and beg for food. And naturally, it's impolite to hit the utensils in table manners for most cultures. The laksa's broth is densed and flavourful. 😊

Looks yummy. I think Zermatt should eat soupy kind of noodles like Laksa, in their usual bowls and not in such big bowl. I believe will enjoy it better and more fair to the food. Of course too much for such small stall to provide that many bowls. There are solutions 😊

Laksa… Should try the 89 Cicult Road hawker centre. The stall is at a corner. 1 of the Best I had tried. I like the amount of fresh coconut use in the broth. Also run by an auntie…

My favourite laksa in SG. They are super nice too cos they can customise every bowl and they do it without any gumpiness. I've been eating at their store for years and years. And I don't like my laksa noodles chopped up. 😁
