Curious how this engine is holding up after a couple years. I’m no professional mechanic, just a fellow with a diesel obsession over racing and truck pulling. Not trying to sharpshoot you gentlemen, but with that much money and work going into this build, personally I wouldn’t take the chance a $400 cam would cause problems down the road. Sure, it’s probably alright for stock-ish power, but squeezing 900hp out and using that power has a way of helping one to locate the weak parts in your setup.

Yea if they were the stock tapets then they end up shaping to the cam that was in there and once you put a fresh new one you need new tapets

4th gen with 900hp is complete bullshit! Single turbo 67mm with 6.7l injectors and stock pistons is 700hp at best and probably only 600. Been there done that! He needs a 75mm and 300%over injectors to be at 900hp. That's according to fleece performance that speced out my engine builds! He has a lot of wasted money on show but only a little go,lol. That setup is a dime a dozen these days.

aron strugar -fuelboss mechanical pump. Mechanical pumps will last 2 to 3 times longer than the new style pump

No, the turbo was relocated to be in the position that a 2nd gen cummins turbo was in. People just refer to this relocation as a "second gen swap"

Hey guys. I have a 2007.5 with the First Gen Legendary 6.7L Turbo Diesel Cummins with the G-56 Transmission. She's Straight piped and that's just about it. My Goal is to do 400HP and at least 750+ Foot pounds of torque. Whats the bare minimum of what I should do to my first Gen 6.7? To weight loss and power? I want to keep the Reliability, but have more balls to the wall.
