I know you wanted it, here is the military history of Artillery the anti-air: 21:26 - 8hp infantry 800 G (kill) 24:05 - 9hp b-copter 8100 G (kill) 27:10 - 6hp infantry 600 G 29:30 - 8hp infantry 800 G 46:14 - 8hp infantry 800 G (kill) 50:39 - 4hp anti-air 3200 G 52:54 - 8hp b-copter 7200 G (kill) Total kills: 4 Total value: 21500 G = 2,6875 x its cost May he be remembered.
Early lead resulted in tunnel vision. Good match even though this was essentially one long single engagement that one was unable to back away from and the other really should have backed away from. "Retreat is never an option" may sound cool, but this is what happens when you remain deep in enemy territory taking losses whilst they are able to reinforce their losses every turn.
@@DeejusProductions possibly. You would know better than me, but it just seemed like they didn't want to admit their push was over. At times some units retreated (to heal) but the front line itself was unwilling to budge. The healing of units is good of they can come back and be useful but the battle was so intense that it was always going to outpace the recovery. Those units were just eating up resources at that point, which is probably why he disn't opt dor a medium tank - unit numbers plummeting at the cost of the suataoned push
Bro, Evocoti randomly took my casual game and absolutely stomped me, I appreciated the beating. Im like an 800 player and started about a month ago after watching your videos.
Amazing back and forth match, so much fun to watch. That Anti Air needs full honors for the hard work it put in. Great video as always Deejus, looking forward to the next match.
Until the triple tank turn, evocoti never had the funds to get a md tank. Would you also consider not buying a md because of an incoming global damage. Recently had a olaf mirror where they used a winter fury to hit some tanks but my winter fury hit 2 md tanks which would be an even bigger deal
@@aa01blue38 Yeah he could have joined a single tank with another one to get it literally like any turn. Should have DEFINITELY got one in response to Deejus' tank.
*Medium Tank, lol. The thing is, it might as well be a Mega Tank with that +30% vs artillery. It seems like Javier should really be looking hard to find space for one on maps like this.
Hey Deejus, thanks for featuring our game! Was a lot of fun :) Definitely agree the lack of a MD was an issue. I wanted one but poor unit timing combined with unit repairs after the first Black Storm made it very hard to save up for one. For those interested in the strategy on the other side, the main priority was to limit the impact of Hawke's SCOP as much as possible, even if it meant overextending and having suboptimal attacks when Black Storm is active (to avoid charging his meter). Global damage scales with unit value, whereas the limited frontage of the map means it's hard to get the same bang for buck from a Javier COP when there's >150k in unit value and strong infantry walls. My thinking (which could be wrong) was that stalling even with a 3k lead wouldn't be enough to deal with two closely spaced Black Storms should the fighting start with high unit values. Unfortunately, the lack of a MD and some micro mistakes meant that the plan wasn't executed well enough the maintain the advantage. I may also be too impatient to be one of the best std players happy to play long positional battles. Yolo tendencies also cost a game against Incuggarch where I similarly established a strong early lead. Fog is another matter though, less than 5 points behind you right now Deejus ;) Also, you are correct that Evocoti is Italian (actually Latin) derived. Don't actually live anywhere near Europe though haha.
Hey man, yeah I prayed for no med tank entire game, even building copters just for the sake of forcing AA instead of meddys. It was a fun one and I hope to play again!
Looks like Evocoti suffered the "getting carried away by Javier Tower Shield" syndrome. The game was his for a while in the beginning. Good game to watch though!
It's absolutely nuts how you can win games like this when you are so far behind in every category with seemingly a worse CO... I'd be so overwhelmed. I don't play this game competitively but I love watching videos like this (it's basically a more fun and less solved version of chess). I know I'm repeating myself but It's just so crazy to me how good tactical play can absolutely bail a guy out and bring oneself back from the grave when basically every strategic metric was seemingly lost... What a fun game this is
your commentary is so fun! i started playing the AW single player campaigns after watching your videos, and i know playing against the cpu isn't as interesting as pvp, but it's changed how i play the game. i have a much better understanding of general strategy and unit comp.
