Sometimes a little beard trim can make all the difference! We sat down with our brother Brian at JMoose Barber Shop in Tempe, Arizona for a serious beard trim and hair cut. It completely transformed the way Brian looked and he was thrilled with the results (as was his wife!).
When you are going in for a beard trim, make sure you are very specific with what you want done. Save some examples on your phone and be very detailed. Too often we hear about bad beard trims at the barber so consider yourself warned!

A good trim can actually help beard growth. Most guys are afraid to take a little off for having a shorter beard, but taking off the split ends and lining it up can actually encourage more growth! Just be sure that he does he research and goes to a barber who specializes in beards!

Nice. Two things that I would have liked to have seen: 1) Keep the cheek lines higher. This guy has really nice, high lines. 2) Trim the stache so as to see the bottom lip. Great beard!

@@rtgray7 Agreed. I see so many men with nice high cheek lines have beard lines well below it. It lessens the fullness of the beard when you lower the cheek line. Also, completely agree on the bottom lip. I would also add that he should have trimmed the bottom of the beard a bit more, once again, to create a look of fullness

Just bought the Executive kit, can’t wait for it to get here. Already have several of the oils and they’re fantastic but it’ll be the first time trying out live bearded wash and butter so I hope I like it. If so I’ll get some more in the Legend and Wilderness scents

Live Bearded really good. The scent is a bit more subtle than I’d prefer but it’s nice. Legend and American are still my favorites though

Not agree, imho the longer the better. But it is preference. Billions prefer longer beards, billions prefer medium beards, billions prefer short and or shaved. And billions prefer all types of beards. And billions who can't grow one.

Before the trim he looked like a civil war general. I actually really dig the look way back in the day when dudes just grew long beards however they came out, rather than trying to style it. Or they would style it to more match their natural features.

Every look has it's positives and negatives! Brian here had his beard shaped in the before picture, it doesn't naturally grow in that way, but I know what you mean! For some of us, the beard is so dense that if we don't trim up the sides it begins to make your face look like a beach ball 😂

I'm more the before type, don't cut anything except occasionally snip 1/2 inch worth of stragglers off overall length. Just quit cutting the ends off 'stache few weeks back. Use Live Bearded products to keep it up. At age 74 just going to let it grow, hair too. Beards length on a par with gentleman in this video. Btw, hooked on Gunslinger scent.

"Insane" trim? Meh. Dudes got a nice full beard, and the trim just reinforced the whispiness that comes as it grows out unevenly and the side/neck hairs are overtrimmed robbing lower thickness. More length off the bottom, less/none off the bottom of the sides would've done this beard wonders. Would've turned the long whispiness to a solid block o' manliness. Also, who would tackle this job with clippers? I mean it may be one of the best ever long beard clipper jobs, but I think scissors force you to cut to the particular beard and face, not in the straight imaginary lines of a clipper's path.
