Carp were one of the main fish I went for as a kid because of a lake full of them which I lived on. After fighting a ten pounder on ultra light equipment, I often wondered why they were so under appreciated. You have flat made my day with your two recent videos! Thanks Justin! It’s worth watching just to see how much fun you’re having, too.

I've been carp fishing for 23 years, and in the last few years I discovered the Ugly Stik GX2 9' medium rod, and it's been absolutely perfect for carp. It's got the perfect amount of give, and plenty of backbone should you need it. I've landed carp up to 30lbs on it with no problems. Tight lines

Great video ❤🤟😎I just posted a video of catching bluegills on the spawn out of the kyack. Fishing on the bank just like you are . Kept 50 for a friend and his family the limit in GA. But I threw back about 25..if people don't like it..I don't care 🤷..

Carp makes great catfish bait. Not sure if it works in Tennessee but in Texas at least it does. The size your catching is about 5 slices of bait. Anyways, enjoyed the video!

I have carp spawning where I live and was getting bites like that on worms. I even hooked one on a topwater plug I couldn't believe it. Got it to the bank it was probably ten pounds, had it by the gill bc that was all I could grab on a muddy bank he flipped out of my hand, broke my line and took the plug

Justin I used to fish for Carps at Indian Lake, Ohio and the Little Miami River. The Carps way back than ran 3 to 5 lbs. Still fun on a spinning outfit or a bamboo rod!! I used to make and sell (at 3 local bait shops). Wheaties, molasses and anis oil. Sold a lot of that bait and caught my share of your favorite cat. A little change from the cat and I had Carp bait. My Grandmother taught me how to make bait and how to fish (bamboo poles) then I turned 8 years old. I also caught and sold a ton of nightcrawlers before my bait got really popular!!!

I fish wild water paylake style I use r&w, wicked carp flavor, one on baits , I use pops and kix cereal as a pick up I throw panko also but with a little soybean , but the river I fish have alot of buffalo in them , try soybean sometime or grits,caught a 24lb common and 21 pound buffalo Friday morning grape grits with soybean

Been watching your channel for a while. Love the carp videos. Next time you go try buying a box of wheaties and make a wheatie ball. Been using them for 40 years catching carp. Easy to make and cheap bait.

No need for hair rig brother. Just put fake corn on your hook. Iv done it that way my whole life doesn't make any difference. Also if your interested look into forever pack baits then you can make a big batch of bait and not have to make it every trip. I love catfishing but I love carp fishing just as much. I fish carp tournaments all year and love to fish for carp in the wild as well. Wait until you get your first 30lbs carp! They are a blast no doubt!

Here's the thing with the landing mats, outside of a carp's lip, which will always bleed, the fish is virtually indestructible. If you don't believe me, try to fillet one after scaling it. I've never injured one on shore, and they're more likely to hurt themselves hitting something in the water as they fight you. As long as you're gently handling them in a net that isn't likely to cut their gills, they'll be fine. Great video! I've been watching your content for awhile, and it's always enjoyable.

Man you are hammering these carp, looks like a blast but I like catching carp like this, it's a really good time and will wear a person out, but I personally like and enjoy your carp videos as much as I do the catfish videos cause it's the same kind of fishing, and I really enjoy this style of fishing, I hope you get enough views so you can continue the carp videos.

There are WAY too many bass tournaments across the country now. On top of that they schedule them around the spawn!! If they want solid fisheries for our grandkids, something has to change. It's gotten out of control. Built on greed.

Back in the day, about 40 years ago or there about, my brother and I (14 an 16 years old) did a lot of fishing to put in the freezer. That spring we did a long day carp fishing and ended up with about 300 pounds or more of carp. We had a long night of cleaning and Mama canned it all, because there was not enough room left in the freezer after our previous exploits... Carp is some good eating if you prepare it correctly, and canning it was a brilliant stroke; the little bones all through out the meat were softened up and posed no issues later when eating... We ate a lot of carp croquettes that year. I went to college the next year and we never got the chance to do that again.

I love fishing for carp! I use the methods with hair rigs as well! Much better hookups with the hair rig unless you just throw some corn on a hook! Carp are so much fun!!! Hard pulling fish!

Fish for whatever that's what I think and I don't care what others think !! You know you can make your own method leads make you a mold from one of yours and make a mold and get some wheel weights easy to do 2 hours of your time and you can have a supply of method leads. 🍻

Braid mainline is the cause of the hook pulls. You could switch to 15lb mono and that would help.

Some places in UK have banned method feeder cause it's so good. Also, we have to use bait alarms, barbless hooks, big landing nets as well as the landing mat. Big money. Then you got the Bivvys too. But the ground bait / pack bait is so different, it's so crazy here i wont even try to explain. Not to mention how difficult it is to cast with a long fishing rod. You make it look to easy. It's fair to say i'm not the best fishing guy about. Thanks for the video.

I use chunks of fresh hotdog bun on a #4 treble hook. I use vanilla extract mixed with water and I'll spray some on the chunks. The carp love the vanilla and it works great as a bug repellent if they get bad

Weekend before last I was up in a creek on Melton Hill abed you would not believe the racket the carp were making. 100s of them all rolling around in the bank. Thought they were gonna jump out of the water and up on the shore, it was crazy!

totally off subject but I was using those small jigheads you use for baitfish. I but part of a nightcrawler on it and caught a 26"drum on 8lb test line
